The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1520
Chapter 1520: Preparations for the ultimate fight (IV) Chapter 1520: Preparations for the ultimate fight (IV) Cain had already completed three of the four steps required to achieve the Second Level of the Indestructible Herculean Technique.
If he succeeded in mastering the final step, he would gain a body impervious to attacks from ordinary Peak Divine Transcendence Masters-a tremendous boost in both endurance and defensive might.
Of course, such durability would still be far from sufficient to withstand the full onslaught of a Third Realm life form, but it would remain a pivotal advantage in any high-stakes confrontation.
Unfortunately, the last step of the Second Level demanded an infusion of Law of Life into his body, providing a surplus of vitality that would trigger a qualitative change in his cellular structure.
Although the World Tree Sapling in Cain’s Inner World had granted him a fundamental familiarity with many Laws, his grasp of the Law of Life was nowhere near deep enough to accomplish this transformation.
Completing that requirement in just three months was simply impossible.
Though it disappointed him, Cain understood that certain limitations could not be bypassed overnight.
He accepted the constraint and turned his focus to other methods of self-improvement: refining his dual-cultivation technique and advancing his genetic and tribulation skills.
He pushed all extraneous worries from his mind, adopting the unwavering resolve that had kept him alive thus far.
A Revolution Flame erupted in Cain’s right hand, a vortex of shimmering, multicolored fire that sparkled as though it contained tiny galaxies.
Meanwhile, his left hand manipulated a floating pool of genetic components: strands of DNA, esoteric serums, and curious organic substances harvested from the myriad enemies he had slain or subdued over the years.
This dual process-flame forging and genetic recombination-would be daunting for most cultivators, but Cain had long since transcended the conventional limits of multitasking.
Hovering nearby, the Sky Sovereign quietly observed Cain’s frenetic activity.
The ancient phantom’s gaze held a contemplative light.
At the same time, he continued weaving destructive runes into the Karmic Seal above.
“He truly pushes himself to the limit,” the Sky Sovereign mused inwardly, glancing from the swirling genetic pool to the evolving flames in Cain’s hands.
During the next few weeks, Cain allowed the pool in his left hand to grow ever larger, pouring copious amounts of genetic resources into it.
Each reagent, cell sample, and DNA chain shimmered with potential.
From an outside perspective, the sheer volume of materials used would make ancient Genetic Coders weep-some due to envy, others out of heartbreak at the waste.
Cain, however, approached the problem with brutal efficiency: a dead man could not enjoy wealth.
If he did not invest everything into elevating his power, survival against a possible Third Realm threat was a dim hope at best.
However, what most captured the Sky Sovereign’s curiosity was the Revolution Flames Cain was forging.
Over time, Cain refined 28-colored flames, producing thousands of orbs packed with scorching power.
Now, he had begun working on 29-colored flames, each one taking a bit less time to create than the last as his skill improved.
These Revolution Flames were no trivial creations.
Forging them demanded both meticulous control and profound understanding of Tribulation Enhancement.
However, the Sky Sovereign did not quite understand the purpose of forging so many of them.
Though intrigued, the Sky Sovereign had little time to delve deeper.
He was busy with another colossal project: engineering Echo Runic Formations from the mountain of evil treasures Cain had given him.
One by one, the ancient phantom arranged the artifacts by energy intensity, carving elaborate runes onto each item.

Though the runic patterns looked superficially similar, the minor variations reflected careful adjustments to harmonize with each artifact’s unique power signature.
If this elaborate network of malevolent items functioned as planned, it could unleash monstrous attacks capable of challenging even top-tier opponents.
Meanwhile, Cain’s focus was hardly less divided.
He was simultaneously manipulating genetic materials, forging Revolution Flames, and advancing both lines of his dual-cultivation approach-Astral Rebirth and Essence Evolution-following the guidelines of the Shooting Star Dragon Cultivation Technique.
At the Divine Ascension Stage, the technique posed little difficulty for him.
He already exceeded the Law comprehension requirements for Fire, and his Star Power was similarly advanced.
The challenge lay in applying those laws to shape the landmasses in his Inner World, infusing them with the Law of Fire until they reached an extreme threshold.
Afterward, he stabilized and enhanced the territory using Space-Time and Shadow Laws, creating what he called the “Flaming Shadows Landmass” as the core of his Inner World.
For his Astral Rebirth side, Cain bathed his flesh and blood in dense waves of Star Power, purging weaknesses and elevating the density and resilience of his cells.
While this did not increase his cultivation base, it did grant him access to new abilities and, most importantly, the second portion of the dual-cultivation technique.
However, upon reaching the next tier-Divine Transformation-the road became considerably steeper.
His Essence Cultivation demanded the reforging of his Inner World’s core, weaving in the Law of Fire and blending it with the Law of Shadows, while Space-Time Laws would serve to stabilize and refine the mixture.
The result would be a Fiery Shadow Planet, a powerful realm that would unleash a truly pure and powerful Essence Origin.
Simultaneously, his Astral Rebirth path required him to condense Fire Star Power in his Star Cores to an even higher degree, culminating in something known as a Shooting Star Cores.
This condensed star nucleus would birth a new form of Fire Star Power akin to a cosmic forge within his body.
If Cain mastered these steps, his Essence Origin-born of the Fiery Shadow Planet-and his Astral Origin-emanating from the Shooting Star Cores-would merge into a single, Unified Origin Force.
This unified energy would enhance his physical abilities and Law-based attacks, allowing seamless synergy between his Inner World and his body.
“The Unified Origin Force would be a significant leap,” he thought, eyes focused as he prepared for the fight.
“It would act like a catalyst for everything I do, from raw physical might to the Laws.”
