The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1533
Chapter 1533: Life Chapter 1533: Life Cain couldn’t suppress a faint, triumphant grin as he watched the energy beam crash into the woman at point-blank range.
The resulting explosion-so bright that it outshone the sun-ignited a cataclysmic upheaval in the sky.
He saw the stellar ocean she had summoned begin to unravel, its vast waters evaporating under the beam’s power.
At the same time, space-time itself seemed to buckle for hundreds of kilometers around them.
In that moment, with the sky shaking and the horizon splitting under cosmic force, a single hopeful thought rippled through his mind: ‘Did I really win?’ Yet, before he could even savor the possibility, a voice howled through the blinding explosion.
“AHHHHH!
YOU FOUL, DISGUSTING BEAST!” The words were raw with agony and rage.
They carried no restraint, no regal authority, only the savage cry of someone hurt beyond measure and who had lost all control over her emotions.
Cain’s stomach lurched.
Whatever flicker of relief he’d felt was snuffed out.
Immediately, he tried to brace himself for another clash, but her retaliatory strike came faster than he could manage: she descended from the skies in less than a millisecond, a cobalt blur of vengeful fury.
Her visage made his heart skip.
The entire left side of her face was a macabre display of blackened muscle, half-melted bone, and charred tissue clinging by threads.
Where her eye should have been, there was only a cavernous, smoking socket.
Even the right side, though less damaged, was seared to a sickly crimson, with patches of gore-laced wounds that refused to heal.
Her once-majestic beauty, which could challenge angelic grace, was replaced by an image so harrowing it might haunt nightmares forever.
The woman’s face was not the only thing wounded as her body suffered even worse injuries.
The left side especially was all burned to such a horrifying degree that the muscles were all blackened, and the left arm hunged loose, without any ounce of strength left behind. And yet, despite those mortal-looking wounds, her Third Realm vitality powered her movements with near-supernatural speed.
The moment her feet touched the ocean surface, she lashed out with her right hand, a strike as swift as a viper’s bite.
Cain, battered and low on strength, tried to dodge, but her approach-closing to melee range-was something he had neither expected nor prepared for.
In a blink, her hand struck his chest.
Anticipating an explosive shockwave, Cain braced himself for the familiar concussive impact that might smash him backward.
Yet what he felt was entirely different-and far more terrifying.
A bone-chilling force expanded outward from the point of contact, invading every drop of liquid inside his body.
It was as though her Laws had pierced his flesh, seizing the fluid that sustained his life.
He gasped, eyes wide in alarm.
He tried to muster the dregs of his power, only to discover he couldn’t move.
It was as if the water in his own body had become a prison.
Normally, he could direct his energy through his meridians and then outward, but that force could not leave, blocked by this invasive technique.
No matter how frantically he struggled, he remained rooted in place, his energy sealed inside his flesh.

He had never imagined water manipulation could become something so sinister, so absolute.
Watching his horror, the woman coughed up blood, lips cracked by her own injuries, but hatred eclipsed any concern she might have had for herself.
She shouted in a rasping, guttural tone.
“Tsunami of Vital Ruin!” No poise or grandeur remained-only ferocity to the point of self-destruction.
Instantly, the Third Realm life form’s power surged through the surroundings, commanding what remained of the vast ocean that had flooded the once-mighty Purgatory Volcano Range.
As if awakened by a demonic summons, that water trembled and then rushed to do her bidding-straight into Cain’s body.
A cold dread lit his gaze as Cain felt water funneling through his pores, open wounds, and even the slender channels of his energy meridians.
The immediate result was a wave of pressure that caused countless tiny blood vessels to explode, sprinkling the ground with droplets of blood.
The pain was excruciating, but the danger was not lethal, as his body could endure the water pressure being sent into him, and trying to make him burst like a balloon was impossible. ‘What is she doing if she’s not trying to burst me like a balloon?’ He got his answer in the next heartbeat.
The watery force wasn’t designed merely to destroy-at least not in the conventional sense.
Instead, it carried an unstable life force, forcibly amplifying the metabolism of his cells.
In a normal scenario, regeneration might heal injuries.
This twisted version, however, goaded his flesh to expand uncontrollably, warping it far beyond safe limits.
“Ahhhhhh!” A strangled cry tore from his throat, half-choked by the blood oozing from his mouth.
As the watery infiltration took hold, his muscles ballooned unnaturally, then tore open from the inside.
Bones fissured under the unstoppable growth, shards occasionally thrusting through the flesh, only for that twisted regeneration to try to re-wrap them.
The result was a horrifying mosaic of lumps, ruptures, and re-formations that made him look less human with every passing second.
On witnessing this, the woman-hideous beyond measure-twisted her lip into a grin that exuded savage delight.
The technique cost her dearly, as her own injuries still bled profusely, but the mania in her eyes suggested she was beyond caring.
All that mattered was seeing Cain suffer.
Cain had teetered on the brink of death once more, and this time, it did not seem that an epiphany was going to save him. “Think…” he commanded himself silently, wrestling with the delirium of his pain.
He had only a few seconds to devise an escape before his entire body reached irreparable ruin.
Over years of mortal peril, he had honed an ability to remain calm in catastrophic situations.
Now, that skill was tested at its highest level.
As his internal organs swelled toward bursting, a single word resonated through his tortured mind with piercing clarity.
Life.
