Chapter 1536: Marlin Chapter 1536: Marlin The fiery shockwaves exploded in all directions, incinerating everything near the massive sun.

Luckily, everyone and everything that had once been near the Purgatory Volcanic Range had fled long ago due to the explosive fight between Cain and the women.

The only sentient life form struck by those flames was Alucard.

Yet, instead of being harmed, he watched as the runes covering his body began to glow, and an immense amount of power coursed through his veins and cells.  Shock and awe appeared in the eyes of the Atrox, not because of his body’s reaction to the flames since his cultivation path allowed him to harness heat and use it as a source of strength.

No, the true shock came from the sheer magnitude of energy that now surged within him.

For the flames to have such an effect on him could only mean one thing.  “That is not a sun…

It is a Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star!” As an Atrox Rebirth Third Realm Master, it took but a second for Alucard to figure out the true nature of the phenomenon he was watching.  Witnessing one of the cosmic forces that reigned over reality manifest in the middle of the continent was staggering, even for a Third Realm life form and a master of a Lord-Tier Organization.

But the sight raised more questions than answers.  He had been summoned here by a Soul Realm life form to discuss his son, yet instead of a simple meeting, he now stood at the edge of a battlefield meant for Third Realm entities-where an Astral Supremacy Star had been released, obliterating everything in sight.

Confusion filled his mind, yet his sharp eyes focused ahead as he dashed forward, drawing closer to the radiant, all-consuming star.

No matter what, he needed to see that person, as he could not allow his son to die.

Alucard allowed his body to absorb the heat, feeling the power coursing through his runes and veins swell with every step, making every cell burst with power, which he might need, given how bizarre everything was.  The heatwaves bursting from the Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star did not slow his speed in the slightest.

Just as he was seconds away from the massive sphere of fire and radiation, his eyes narrowed.  A figure was emerging from within the flames.  A woman-her legs and left arm missing, the rest of her body scorched beneath the radiant and powerful Star Power-rushed out from the top of the burning sphere.  “Marlin?” Alucard’s eyes widened, and he could not stop himself from uttering the name.

Though her body was beyond recognition due to the burns, he had met and fought this woman before, so he recognized her soul aura.

He knew her as one of the Patriarchs of the Gu Sect.  As he wondered what could have reduced her to such a deplorable state, he turned his gaze toward the edge of the Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star.

A young man flashed out, his life force and soul force visibly unstable.

He had burned a considerable portion of them, and wounds covered his body-including a missing right hand and forearm.  Yet, unlike the woman, the rest of his body was fine.

It was clear he had withstood the fire and heat of the Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star far better than the Third Realm Master.  “The one who summoned me!” Alucard’s eyes narrowed as he detected a spirit wave within the young man-a wave similar to those found in the death Divine Transformation and Divine Transcendence Masters.  His instincts screamed at him to capture the man immediately.

However, just as he was about to move, the young man who flashed into the distance turned back for a brief moment, his eyes burning with red flames.  Alucard froze.  For an instant, the Third Realm Master of the Eclipse School hesitated-not out of fear, but out of calculation.  ‘Those eyes…’ In them, he saw monstrous willpower, an absolute dominance that evoked pure strength.

A heart of steel, unyielding, untouched by fear or hesitation.  It was a rare thing for a Soul Realm Master to push his instincts into cautious mode.

And yet, Alucard was no fool.

He figured out what had happened here.  The one who had inflicted those grievous wounds on Marlin was none other than this young man.  Then, as if triggered by fate, Alucard recalled the words the boy had spoken to him before.  “If you let me go, the debt for sparing your son’s life will be paid, and I will owe you a favor.” That morning, the favor of a Soul Master had seemed insignificant in Alucard’s mind.

But now, standing before the devastation, witnessing the strength and tenacity that radiated from the young man…  That favor suddenly felt like it might be invaluable.  Marlin groaned, her burned face contorted in pain, hatred, and absolute rage.  Her wounds were grave-truly life-threatening-but despite her horrific injuries, power still coursed through her body.

It was a testament to just how absurdly strong the life force of a Prima Deity was.  Her eyes were gone, burned away in the battle, yet even without them, she could still locate Cain’s presence fading into the distance.  The hatred in her heart was so immense that she was prepared to chase after him, even in her broken state.  She was certain that Cain had no more trump cards left, and there was no way he could survive another clash with her.  Yet, just as she was about to move, her senses detected a new presence.

Her attention shifted immediately, and shock and confusion surged through her soul as she realized the identity of the newcomer.  “Alucard!?” Marlin could not understand why a Third Realm Master from the Eclipse School was here.  Then, a sinister, cunning thought flickered in her mind.

A slow, wicked grin twisted the remains of her burned face as she turned toward Alucard.  If she couldn’t kill Cain herself…  Perhaps she could convince the Third Realm Master to do it for her.
