The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1542
Chapter 1542: A way to fix the Astral Rebirth Path of Power Chapter 1542: A way to fix the Astral Rebirth Path of Power As soon as the severed arm fell within range, the World Tree Sapling reacted like a ravenous beast, instantly sensing the immense power contained within it.
The severed limb, despite its charred and lifeless appearance, radiated an overwhelming essence of Laws, a testament to the Third Realm master it once belonged to.
Without hesitation, the sapling’s branches shot forward, coiling around the amputated arm, locking it in place like a predator claiming its prey.
Immediately, the absorption process began.
Waves of pure vitality and refined essence surged from the severed arm, flowing into the World Tree Sapling’s roots, which then channeled the energy into the Inner World.
As the sapling devoured the remaining life force and Law imprints, Cain could feel his Inner World gradually stabilizing, the fluctuations of his Evolution Core beginning to subside.
Cain watched, a satisfied grin spreading across his face as his Inner World and Evolution Core started to heal, albeit slowly.
Each passing minute saw the Evolution Core grow brighter, its once dim and flickering light now stabilizing, radiating a renewed aura of strength.
However, even though the arm was only a fraction of the woman’s full power, its Law-infused flesh was so potent that it took nearly five full hours for the World Tree Sapling to completely consume it.
When the final remnants of the limb disintegrated, the sapling trembled violently, and a wave of raw energy erupted outward, surging through the Soul Dimension.
Cain narrowed his eyes as he observed the immediate changes.
The sapling’s size had nearly doubled, its branches now covered in lush multicolored leaves, each shimmering with the faint aura of the Laws.
The once thin, fragile tree had now developed into a small but solid entity, far more resilient than before.
Though it was still far from its next evolutionary stage, it had taken a massive step forward-a step that would have otherwise taken decades of cultivation.
Cain exhaled deeply, his smile widening further.
The Inner World and Sacred Organs were no longer in critical condition.
While they were still far from fully healed, the damage to his life force and soul force had been reduced to less than 15%.
With the Tier I Royal Rebirth Mark, he knew that the remaining injuries would gradually heal over time, restoring his power to its peak.
But the benefits did not stop there.
Cain could feel the residual effects of the Law absorption, sensing how his attunement to the Laws of Water and Life had significantly improved.
While these were not Laws he focused on for his combat techniques, their refinement would further enhance the stability of his Inner World, reinforcing his foundation.
This was a massive victory.
Yet, despite the relief flooding his mind, his expression soon darkened, his gaze turning toward the final unresolved issue.
His Rebirth Heart.
Thanks to the Primordial Path evolution and the Indestructible Herculean Technique, his vitality had greatly increased, allowing the Rebirth Heart to recover significantly.
However, it was still badly wounded, and the healing rate was far too slow for his liking.
The Darkmist Force flowing from the [Gluttony Module] helped sustain him, but it was not nearly enough to fully repair the damage.
Cain could not help but frown.
Unlike his Essence Evolution Path, he did not possess any suitable treasures that could aid in healing his Astral Rebirth Path of Power.
Additionally, with his Alter-Ego sealed, the full capabilities of his Concept of Gluttony were severely limited, leaving him with even fewer options.

Yet, Cain was never one to accept limitations.
His mind shifted toward his spatial ring, where an ancient corpse lay waiting.
Floating within the ring were the decrepit, skeletal remains of the Sky Sovereign.
Though Cain had released the Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star from its seal within the corpse’s heart, the body itself had not been destroyed in the process.
Cain had carefully extracted the heart before placing it deep beneath the Purgatory Volcanic Range, ensuring that the corpse remained intact.
Now, without the heart contained in the Astral Supremacy Star, the corpse had lost nearly all of its vitality, appearing as little more than a lifeless husk-the remains of someone who had perished tens of millions of years ago.
In its current state, the corpse held very little value.
But Cain had already devised a way to make use of it.
A method that could potentially fix all of his remaining problems.
However, before he proceeded, there was one person he needed to consult first.
His avatar manifested inside the Soul Dimension, and his gaze locked onto the Sky Sovereign.
Cain’s expression was solemn as he addressed the ancient being.
“I intend to use your corpse to repair my heart.
If this is a problem for you, I am willing to discuss it.” Cain had no intention of disrespecting the Sky Sovereign, especially after the aid he had provided during the battle against the Third Realm woman.
The Sky Sovereign glanced at Cain, his expression calm as he shook his head dismissively.
“Don’t concern yourself with such matters.
Do as you wish.
I have no attachment to that body.” Cain’s eyebrows furrowed slightly at the unexpected response.
“You truly don’t care what happens to it?” The Sky Sovereign let out a soft chuckle, a faint smile forming on his lips.
“The only reason I ever cared about my corpse was because of the Tier 9 Astral Supremacy Star sealed within it.
Now that the star is gone, the body is meaningless to me.” A profound light flickered in his phantom eyes, his voice steady, unwavering.
“Flesh and blood matter little after death.
What defines me is my soul and spirit, which are here.
Whatever happens to the corpse is of no concern to me.” With that, the Sky Sovereign turned his gaze skyward, resuming his destruction of the Karmic Seal.
Cain studied the man for a long moment.
In that instant, he couldn’t help but compare him to the woman who had attacked him.
The difference between their mindsets was as vast as night and day.
Where the woman burst into range at the sightless grievance or wounds in her body, seeking revenge at any cost, the Sky Sovereign had long since transcended such attachments, understanding that true existence lay beyond the physical form.
Cain gave him one final glance, nodding slightly in acknowledgment before closing the window to the Realm World within the Soul Dimension.
While a degree of trust had undoubtedly formed between them, Cain was not so naïve as to reveal all of his secrets just yet.
