The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1547
Chapter 1547: Testing Chapter 1547: Testing A deafening explosion erupted in the skies above the desolate desert plain, echoing like thunder across the barren landscape.
“BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!” Karlo had just attempted to evade a massive arc of dark flames, only to find himself engulfed by its devastating fury.
He barely managed to summon his Star Power, his body growing obsidian and muscular as he blocked the attack with everything he had. His cells had transformed from mortal tissue to a metallic-like compound-an adaptation that drastically enhanced his physical resilience before being blasted into the sky.
Karlo managed to regain control over his body fast, but still, he trembled from the impact, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Yet, despite these grievous injuries, a flash of fierce determination ignited behind Karlo’s eyes.
He had survived the worst of the flames, and though wounded, he realized that the damage was not catastrophic.
“I can endure his attacks!” That thought barely crystallized in his mind before Karlo’s battle instincts warned him of a presence behind him.
He spun, but before he could fully adjust his stance, another arc of dark fire slammed into his back, sending him tumbling helplessly through the sky like a ragdoll.
“Arrrghhh!” A roar of pain and anger tore from Karlo’s throat.
He unleashed a burst of power, forcibly breaking free of the dark flames that clung to him like smoldering tendrils.
His vision swam as he locked onto the distant figure of Cain, standing calmly with a massive halberd in hand. “You’re strong,” Karlo snarled, his voice still raw from pain, “but nowhere near as strong as the legends claim!
Maybe you’re crippled from that battle with the Third Realm woman… or maybe the rumors exaggerated your power.
It doesn’t matter!
I’ll kill you here and now-then my name will flood the entire continent!” A surge of fierce aura exploded from Karlo’s body as his Star Power roared to life.
His obsidian skin grew even darker, muscles bulging with renewed strength.
With a guttural roar, he dashed forward, leaving a trail of cracked earth beneath his feet.
Cain observed the man’s wild charge with a small, almost bemused smile.
He held the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd at his side, apparently lowering his guard.
The sight of Cain’s relaxed stance caused Karlo’s killing intent to spike.
He interpreted this lack of defense as an insult, a sign of utter contempt.
Fueled by rage, he pushed his speed even further, crossing the last dozen meters in a mere instant.
His fists crackled with raw energy, each blow carrying frightening power.
Yet, even as Karlo’s star-infused punch arced forward with lethal intent, Cain moved-but only by a single step.
It was an incredibly fluid motion, barely the width of a hair, yet enough for the punch to whistle harmlessly past Cain’s head.
Karlo’s eyes widened in shock.
That was more than just martial skill-it was as though space itself parted to accommodate Cain’s effortless dodge.
A sense of dread rippled through Karlo’s mind.
He had left himself wide open to a counterattack, expecting Cain to strike.
But instead, the young man smiled and made no move to retaliate, as if encouraging Karlo to keep trying.
“Arrghhh!” Karlo refused to retreat, launching a relentless barrage of punches, kicks, and blasts of Star Power, each more ferocious than the last.

But no matter what type of strike he used, Cain evaded them all with the slightest movements.
It was as though he’d perfectly synchronized with the currents of the world around him.
In truth, after Cain’s battle with a Third Realm woman, his comprehension of The Flow had reached incredible new heights.
Although he still lacked the perfection needed to redirect energy flawlessly, his attunement to the universe’s frequencies had soared exponentially.
Right now, he was communing with the environment, moving as the atoms shifted around him, allowing every one of Karlo’s strikes to miss by the narrowest margin.
“The power of The Flow truly has reached an impressive level,” Cain mused silently, watching Karlo’s frustration mount.
“If I can attain the same flawless attunement I had during that one moment in the Third Realm battle, I’ll gain an immense power.” While the main reason for facing Karlo was gathering information, Cain also sought to test the limits of his abilities in the process.
Finally, Cain stopped dodging, coming to a standstill as Karlo closed in once more.
Confusion flickered across Karlo’s face, quickly replaced by a fierce grin.
He gathered every ounce of his strength, channeling immense Star Power into a single, devastating punch aimed squarely at Cain’s face.
“BOOOOOOMMMMMM!” A violent explosion rippled outward the moment Karlo’s fist collided with Cain’s face.
Dust clouds swirled around them, and a shockwave rattled the sky.
Yet, Karlo’s confidence instantly disintegrated.
Utter shock replaced it-his mind reeled as he realized that Cain hadn’t even flinched.
Though the blow had landed directly on the young man’s face, there wasn’t so much as a scratch.
“H-how is that possible?” Karlo gasped, his voice shaking with disbelief.
“There isn’t even a bruise…” Cain touched his cheek with the back of his hand, tilting his head faintly.
“That hurt,” he remarked in a casual tone, not in any way surprised that the attack had barely injured his skin. Before Karlo could even register the statement, Cain lifted his halberd, eyes narrowing as he activated Primordial Eyes to observe the weak points in Karlo’s body.
A network of red lines became visible across the Godslayer Human’s form, each line representing a vulnerability in his obsidian-like flesh.
Cain exhaled, then lowered the halberd in a seemingly gentle motion.
It barely looked like he put any force into it, but the weapon struck a precise weak spot on Karlo’s torso.
The obsidian skin shattered at that point, sending out a spray of dark blood as Karlo’s entire figure was launched downward.
“AAAAHHHHHH!” With a pained bellow, Karlo crashed into the sands, leaving a massive crater in his wake.
Debris and dust billowed into the air, obscuring him from view.
