Chapter 1575: Requiem of the Forgotten
Cain’s cold gaze flickered as he encased the struggling Divine Transcendence Master in a cocoon of shadows, sealing him away in his space ring. His life force and soul force burned brightly, surging through his body, augmenting his strength as he turned to face the rest of Lady Azure’s forces.
Under her command, these cultivators posed a legitimate threat. If they had been just a little stronger, there was a real possibility he would not have been able to escape the dark domain even if he burned his soul and life force.
Yet, the lingering sense of danger did not deter him—if anything, it ignited his fighting will and fueled his killing intent.
The greater the resistance, the more they struggled, the more powerful he would become by slaughtering them all.
“BOOOOOMMMM!”
A milky-white burst of power erupted from Cain’s core, causing the ocean floor to tremble. The power of his Unified Origin Force pushed the strength of his Laws and Star Power to their peak.
Raising the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd, he flashed forward like a comet, zeroing in on the Divine Transcendence cultivators.
Cain had initially targeted Lady Azure, believing that her defeat would spell the collapse of her entire faction. Yet, after witnessing her cunning and resilience, he adjusted his strategy.
Instead of focusing on the old Anima, he shifted his onslaught toward the rest of the Divine Transcendence Masters, intending to cut down their numbers first.
The moment his gaze locked onto them, terror spread like wildfire among the cultivators.
Before arriving at the Gu World, these individuals were at the peak of their domains—worshipped by billions as deities. Even after entering the Gu Contest, they had considered themselves at the pinnacle of the food chain.
Yet now—under the unrelenting gaze of the Monster—they felt no different than lambs before the slaughter.
“What are you waiting for?! Fight or die! Make your choice!”
Lady Azure’s furious roar shattered their paralysis, her energy erupting violently as she conjured dozens of dimensional rifts, launching them straight at Cain.
The determination in her voice shook the battlefield. Her soldiers jolted out of their stupor, gritted their teeth, and steeled their resolve.
Since there were only two paths left, they chose the one that at least gave them a sliver of survival—to fight. On the other hand, Cain only smiled as he was glad to see their determination, as it would make the fight more interesting.
What followed was a bloodbath of unprecedented brutality.
The Divine Transcendence Masters fought with everything they had, unleashing spells of apocalyptic might.
The Divine Transformation Masters, though weaker, worked tirelessly to disrupt Cain’s senses, hurling their fastest and most elusive techniques to hinder his movements.
And Lady Azure—Her power kept rising, her spells multiplying, each one carrying enough force to annihilate an ordinary Divine Transcendence Master outright.
Despite all that power, Cain endured.
With each passing minute, more wounds appeared on his body, his injuries far worse than the ones he had sustained against Karun’s forces.
But, he was not merely taking damage. Cain fought back with ferocity, using his life force and soul force to push his power beyond its limits.
One by one, Cain hunted down the Peak Divine Transcendence Masters, capturing as many as possible while also killing hundreds of the ordinary Divine Transcendence Masters, taking their Gu Insects into the Star Sealing Runic Formation.
As for the Divine Transformation Masters, though they were not his primary targets, many fell victim to his collateral attacks.
Massive spells and area-wide techniques had reduced their numbers from over twenty thousand to less than seven thousand. And, of course, he captured all of their Gu Insects as well.
The battlefield had been drenched in blood for less than thirty minutes, and Cain could already feel his breath becoming ragged and arm heavy.
The prolonged battle had pushed his limits, and even his Tier I Royal Rebirth Mark was beginning to strain under the continuous burn of his life and soul forces.
“I guess it’s time to end this fight.” There was a trace of disappointment in his voice.
The damage he had inflicted was far from optimal, but even he had his limits.

However, just as he was about to retreat, a wave of unimaginable danger assaulted his senses.
Cain snapped his gaze toward Lady Azure, and his eyes widened in shock.
The old Anima burned with golden radiance, her entire body ablaze as she sacrificed her soul force and life force.
Cain’s expression hardened. Thanks to the Royal Rebirth Mark, could utilize both his life force and soul force without fear—but for others, such an act was almost a death sentence.
“She’s really going this far…?”
And then, the battlefield trembled as an unnatural force gathered around Lady Azure.
Her lips never moved—yet a soul-piercing voice rang out across the battlefield, shaking the very fabric of reality.
“Requiem of the Forgotten.”
A monstrous spiritual force descended upon Cain. His eyes widened in horror as he felt hundreds of searing nails piercing into his mind.
It was a soul strike, but not just any soul strike, one of colossal magnitude.
Cain’s vision trembled, his body momentarily paralyzed under the sheer magnitude of the attack.
The Divine Transcendence Masters who had once feared him now stared in shock. The unstoppable killing machine, the Monster that had ravaged their ranks mercilessly, now stood frozen in place.
Their gazes snapped toward Lady Azure. Blood dripped from every orifice of her face, yet a twisted smile curled upon her lips as she watched Cain suffer.
Even though she had sacrificed herself in the process, she had achieved what no one else could. She had forced Cain into a moment of true weakness.
Many of the cultivators felt a complicated mix of emotions.
They could not deny their admiration for Lady Azure’s power and determination, but deep inside, they couldn’t ignore one truth.
Had Lady Azure used this attack earlier, countless lives could have been spared.
Instead, the Anima had waited until Cain was at his weakest, using her soldiers as pawns to reach this moment.
