Chapter 1591: The right path
Laughter echoed for several seconds before the trio finally calmed down. A faint smile appeared on Cain’s face as he shook his head. “That was a good joke,” he said softly.
“Yes, it did ease the mood,” the Sky Sovereign agreed. Although Apex’s suggestion moments earlier had sparked their merriment, both Cain and the Sky Sovereign knew right away it was never meant to be taken seriously.
After all, even if Cain somehow managed to locate every faction before Reverend Madness could claim them, everyone already knew he had come here to kill them all.
Cain had earned a notorious reputation, antagonizing many powerful individuals. Admittedly, in the face of an apocalyptic threat like Reverend Madness, previous enmities could sometimes be set aside for the sake of survival.
Yet that led directly to another problem: what if Reverend Madness offered salvation to the strongest warriors, granting not only survival but also a chance to join his new force and learn the mysteries of the Third Realm? Would the cultivators of the Gu Sect, known to care only for themselves, truly resist that temptation? Or would they seize the offer, join forces with the ancient monster, and betray those they once called allies?
Even if, by some miracle, unity against Reverend Madness prevailed and they somehow achieved victory, Cain himself would likely be wounded and exhausted after such a battle.
Would the Gu Sect show gratitude for his efforts to save them, or would they turn on him the instant he was at his weakest—stealing his belongings and handing his corpse over to Marlin, thereby reaping even greater wealth in the process?
Considering all of these possibilities—and undoubtedly more that the trio had not fully analyzed—it was clear that attempting to rally the Gu Sect’s warriors against Reverend Madness could only be viewed as a jest.
After the amusement subsided, Cain’s mind relaxed, and a meaningful light began to glow in his eyes, growing brighter as a new thought took form. Then, in a calm and authoritative tone, he posed a question: “System, what is the current state of the Concept Core?”
Ever since he had come to this sealed world, Cain had been unable to rely on the [A.I. Chip Module] to its full capabilities, despite how useful it could have been. Its processing power had been diverted into forging the Concept Core, a monumental task that demanded immense resources. It did not take long for a robotic voice to resonate within Cain’s mind.
[Concept Core: 91]
A wide grin spread across Cain’s face as he absorbed the progress report from the Absolute Life Form System. Normally, forging a Concept Core would require years—possibly decades—of dedicated focus, yet the system was on the verge of completion in less than three months.
“It will only be a matter of days before the Concept Core is finished,” Cain whispered to himself. A light full of determination shimmered in his eyes as he considered what that meant. Without hesitation, he sent another command through his thoughts.
“System, scan me.”
Instantly, the robotic voice echoed once more in his mind.

As soon as the diagnostic finished, Cain found his gaze fixed on the numbers representing his Ego Wave. Even without the system’s explanation, he knew his values were already extraordinarily high—beyond what 99.999% of Divine Transcendence Masters could ever achieve.
“My willpower, combined with Leviathan’s strength, has already reached a level sufficient for the evolution into Mind and Body as One,” he murmured. “And the Concept Core is nearing completion.”
Cain paused for a moment, reflecting on the additional requirements for his next step. “My Ego Core is all that remains to forge my true Path. I must decipher my ultimate goal.”
With that realization, the light in Cain’s eyes intensified to a brilliant blaze. In a heartbeat, his consciousness vanished from the Soul Dimension, leaving the Sky Sovereign perplexed and alone in the swirling emptiness.
“Where is he going?” the Third Realm Phantom muttered, disoriented by Cain’s sudden departure. “We haven’t figured out how to handle Reverend Madness yet.”
A distant, low chuckle reverberated through the dimension. Apex’s voice, both ancient and teasing, rose from the darkness. “Hahaha… Little phantom brat, the boy has already found his way.”
“Good,” Apex added. “You’ve chosen the right path, brat.”
With those words, Apex’s presence vanished as well, leaving the Sky Sovereign more perplexed than ever. He still had no idea what was taking place in Cain’s mind, nor did he comprehend why the young man would so abruptly leave without devising a clear strategy against Reverend Madness.
Meanwhile, at the ocean’s surface, Cain’s body emerged from the depths of the water. Droplets slid off his clothes, shimmering in the faint light as he stood upright on the waves as if on solid ground. There was no haste in his movement nor any hint of urgency—only a deep sense of serenity and resolve as he began to walk forward.
