Chapter 1594: Concept Core completed
Cain walked along a rugged, rocky terrain guided by the soft gurgle of a narrow stream that wove across the land. Tiny rivulets of water danced through crevices in the stone, carving tiny pathways over time.
The liquid moved slowly, each drop persistent in its journey forward until it finally disappeared into the ground. As Cain watched this seemingly insignificant stream, a meaningful light appeared in his eyes. He could see the echoes of countless years etched into the earth. Tiny, steady droplets had, over centuries—or perhaps even millennia—forged a massive gorge stretching across the horizon for thousands of meters!
“Perseverance could reshape entire worlds if granted enough time,” Cain murmured to himself. “Its origin was harsh, overcoming unimaginable obstacles, yet it still reached this place and managed to make its mark, altering the landscape one drop at a time.”
A small smile appeared on his face as he spoke. The deep, red flames in his eyes burned more intensely, glowing with a purer and purer light. He found inspiration in that small stream—a symbol of relentless will.
Suddenly, a thunderous roar shattered the tranquility.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!”
A massive explosion in the distance jolted Cain from his reverie. He straightened, casting his gaze far toward the horizon, where a pillar of smoke and fire rose high into the sky.
“It’s quite far,” he noted calmly, “but it seems that shockwave still reached this place. I suppose the faction leaders are clashing with Reverend Madness.”
The Sky Sovereign could see the explosion from inside the Soul Dimension, and a flash of hope arose in his eyes. “Indeed. Their battle is fierce enough to shake the land. If they can fight together, they might at least wound Reverend Madness.”
Cain merely shook his head, maintaining the calm glimmer in his eyes.
“If Core Elder Azure is among them,” he said softly, “then they will fail epically, and Reverend Madness will win.”
The Sky Sovereign frowned in silence. He chose not to question Cain’s statement; something in the young man’s tone spoke of certainty. Whatever the reason, the Sky Sovereign had decided to trust Cain’s instincts.
Still watching the distant burst of light and rubble, Cain heard another voice echo in his mind—this time, a cold, mechanical monotone.
[Concept Core has been completed. Perfect synchronization and synergy between the Concepts of Gluttony, Power, Life, Sundering, and Rage have been achieved.]
The next instant, waves of knowledge, insight, and spiritual information flooded Cain’s mind and soul. He felt as though the very essence of the cosmos was being etched onto his being. It was the final imprint of the Concept Core, delivered via his [A.I. Chip Module].
Thanks to the module’s current power, it took less than a minute for this torrent of information to become fully integrated into his soul. When Cain finally opened his eyes, the red flames within them revolved in a vortex, growing stronger with every heartbeat.
“Amazing,” he breathed, the only word he could muster as the weight of the new power washed over him. The flawless fusion of his Concepts felt like a brand-new sense of self—a more elevated existence.
“ROOOOOOOAAARRRRRRRRR!”
Leviathan unleashed a roar so powerful it made the entire Soul Dimension tremble. Its colossal form did not grow larger, yet intricate, mystical runes now shone across its iridescent scales, each rune embodying an essence of Cain’s combined Concepts. Leviathan’s might expanded and unfurled, radiating an aura of primal supremacy.
Seeing his Alter-Ego rise to such power made Cain smile. Still, he did not lose focus. Achieving true mastery over his new strength would require completing his Ego Core. Only by discovering the ultimate goal of his existence—his true purpose—could Cain forge the catalyst that would harness all that raw potential. With that catalyst, he would ascend into the Third Realm of his Ego Eternal Path of Power!
“I guess it’s time,” Cain muttered.
He turned toward the site of the massive explosion in the distance and began to walk, mind clear and peaceful. Each step he took seemed to bring him closer to absolute doom but also closer to the power he yearned for, the power to carve his name across the universe.
….
Meanwhile, the battle between the Gu Alliance and Reverend Madness raged with apocalyptic ferocity. The earth trembled beneath the onslaught of devastating powers, and the skies themselves seemed to weep fire.
The Gu Alliance had deployed its six faction leaders, each fortified by the energy towers of their respective strongholds. They had elevated themselves to a mind-blowing Half-Step Third Realm battle power through complex arcane machinery.
Accompanying them were thousands of Divine Transcendence Masters, all of them fighting with every iota of power in their bodies and souls. Unfortunately, every member of the Alliance was forced to divert a portion of its energy merely to restrain their Gu Insects. This divided focus left them more vulnerable than they cared to admit.
Worse still, their intelligence had led them to believe they would be facing a lone adversary. They could not have been more wrong.
Reverend Madness was not alone. Hundreds of nightmarish, insectoid abominations flanked him. Each invocation cost him a piece of his life force, yet there seems to be no end to it. These creatures chittered and screeched, brandishing razor-sharp claws and supernatural exoskeletons. Their auras radiated Divine Transcendence levels of might, forming a writhing army that dwarfed anything the Gu Alliance had anticipated.
The faction leaders did their best to coordinate their onslaught.
Lucius unleashed dazzling arcs of sword light, each slash capable of carving massive rifts into the battlefield.
