The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1601
Chapter 1601: World Doom!
“You are strong, Cain Laurifer. I can accept that. Your power and talent exceed anything I’ve ever seen throughout my entire life. However, never forget—you are facing a World King!” Reverend Madness roared, his voice shaking the very heavens as his sinister aura merged seamlessly with the world itself.
“Ooowaaahhh!”
An instant later, a sorrowful, anguished cry reverberated throughout the atmosphere, a lament of absolute agony that made Cain frown deeply.
As a World King, Cain had accessed the strength of the Aether and bonded with the world’s energy countless times before. Yet, the scene unfolding in front of him was fundamentally different—unsettling, even disturbing.
When Cain drew upon the power of the world, there was a harmonious bond, a symbiotic relationship that allowed mutual growth. But here, Reverend Madness did not merely channel the world’s strength. Instead, he ruthlessly tore it from the very fabric of reality itself, causing immense suffering to the Gu World.
Streams of immense spiritual energy surged violently from the earth, skies, and oceans, rushing relentlessly into Reverend Madness’ body, elevating his already monstrous power to heights unseen.
The ancient monster’s grin widened even further, his confidence fully restored as the unprecedented influx of energy continued to empower his physical body and soul. He felt as if every cell in his being had transformed into a vessel of raw cosmic power, his body glowing ominously as though he had truly become an incarnation of the world’s wrath.
Despite the oppressive aura emanating from Reverend Madness, Cain’s gaze remained unflinching, his resolve firm. There was no fear in his eyes, only an unwavering determination.
“Far from enough,” he whispered coldly, every syllable ringing with authority and absolute conviction.
Seeing Cain’s undisturbed resolve, Reverend Madness’ smile faded. His grip on the dark trident tightened fiercely, veins pulsing visibly on his hand as his killing intent surged once more. With a furious roar, he unleashed his power once again.
“Thousand Gu Feast!”
A violent eruption of spiritual energy radiated from Reverend Madness, shattering the ground beneath him as he plunged his nightmare trident into the continent.
Immediately, the land itself trembled violently, as if the planet screamed in anguish. Without warning, from deep beneath the shattered earth, one thousand monstrous Gu creatures emerged simultaneously, each beast colossal, terrifying, and brimming with sinister strength.
Their massive maws opened wide, displaying fangs sharper than swords, as they lunged fiercely toward Cain, intent on devouring him whole.
Cain’s eyes narrowed sharply. He waved his halberd decisively, creating tremendous arcs of scorching red flames that instantly incinerated nearly one hundred of these terrifying creatures. But the moment he felt a surge of triumph, the essence of those slain beasts flowed seamlessly into the remaining monsters, dramatically increasing their power and ferocity.
Cain frowned deeply as he recognized the troublesome nature of this attack, but his intuition suddenly screamed of imminent danger. Reacting with godlike precision, he spun around swiftly, intercepting Reverend Madness’ trident aimed directly at the back of his head.
The clash between their weapons generated a catastrophic shockwave, obliterating dozens of the monstrous Gu beasts instantly and hurling countless others away.
Time seemed to halt momentarily, the two weapons held in stalemate, crackling with unimaginable energy, before violently separating only to collide once more.
“BOOOM!” “BOOM!” “BOOM!”
With every subsequent clash between Cain’s Shooting Star Dragon Halberd and Reverend Madness’ nightmarish trident, earth-shattering explosions erupted, annihilating dozens of Gu monsters each time and casting the continent into perpetual upheaval.
Cain’s golden eyes blazed with both enlightenment and fiery determination, each strike from his halberd hotter and more forceful than the last, carving blazing wounds into the ancient monster’s flesh, wounds which refused to heal no matter how desperately Reverend Madness tried.
Cain gradually regained control of the battle, leveraging The Flow and his vastly enhanced mental abilities to predict and deflect each strike, reclaiming the offensive initiative step by step. Yet something felt increasingly odd.
He couldn’t shake the unsettling feeling regarding the Gu creatures relentlessly lunging toward them despite their constant annihilation. Their behavior made no sense—their strength was trivial before Cain’s overwhelming power, and Reverend Madness had no need to waste such considerable energy without purpose.
Cain finally obtained his answer once only ten Gu monsters remained. Having absorbed the life essence of their fallen brethren, these final survivors had rapidly evolved, growing resistant to the very flames and psychic force Cain wielded.
Cain’s eyes flashed with a brief moment of astonishment as he saw the ten Gu monsters finally entering the battlefield, attacking him simultaneously from all directions, completely shifting the balance of the battle.
“Damn it!” Cain cursed inwardly. Each swing of his halberd sent these resilient monsters flying back, but the injuries inflicted were shallow. Worse yet, Reverend Madness seized this precise opportunity to launch an even fiercer offensive.
The ancient monster’s trident moved faster and faster, its strikes starting to pierce Cain’s defenses and leaving bloody wounds across his body.
Yet, despite Reverend Madness’ best efforts, the wounds he inflicted were far from lethal. Cain’s body was not only supremely resilient but was continuously nourished by the Concept of Life. This profound force flowed through every single cell, regenerating injuries at a speed visible even to the naked eye, rendering Reverend Madness’ efforts almost futile.
A flash of ruthless determination appeared in Reverend Madness’ eyes as the battle advanced lower than he expected, which was very bad since this enhanced world-energy state had a finite duration. With an enraged shout, he unleashed everything he had left.
“ARGHHHHHHH!”

Gathering all his remaining power, Reverend Madness swung his trident upward, violently striking Cain’s halberd and sending the young Prima Deity soaring high into the heavens.
Immediately after creating this brief opening, Reverend Madness’ eyes glowed ominously.
The ten surviving Gu monsters trembled before they swiftly merged with his body. Each of these terrifying creatures was nearly as massive as a small moon. Yet, all ten of them impossibly fused into Reverend Madness’ flesh, infusing him with overwhelming and catastrophic power.
For a split second, Reverend Madness feared his body would burst from the tremendous energy surging within him. However, relying solely upon his formidable willpower, he stabilized himself, allowing his right arm to swell dramatically, tripling in size and radiating apocalyptic power.
With a final roar filled with brutal triumph, Reverend Madness raised his trident high, the weapon glowing intensely with ominous, black starlight.
“World Doom!”
With those terrifying words, the ancient monster unleashed his devastating attack, casting a veil of complete darkness that blanketed the entire continent, signaling the arrival of true annihilation.
