Chapter 1617: The Sky Sovereign’s rebirth
Cain’s eyes glowed with excitement and anticipation. Countless hours of experimentation, the full power of the [A.I. Chip Module], and the unfathomable sea of knowledge extracted from an entity with hundreds of millions of years of experience in this field had finally borne majestic results.
“With this seed, I’ll forge the first wave of an unstoppable army, laying waste to anyone daring to obstruct my vision of the world!” Cain whispered, his voice brimming with a cold and absolute resolve. A glint of ruthless determination flickered briefly in his gaze, reflecting his intention to conquer all obstacles.
His attention shifted toward eighteen special scarlet seeds floating gently before him, each radiating far more potent and dense energies than their ordinary counterparts. Actually, creating each of these eighteen unique seeds had consumed nearly as much origin energy as forging five hundred standard seeds. The sheer effort and resources that had gone into their creation were astounding, highlighting their significance.
“Special and crucial,” Cain murmured thoughtfully, fully aware of the immense potential these seeds held for his most trusted generals and closest allies.
Not wanting to waste too much time, Cain waved his hand, sending all the seed into his Soul Dimension before manifesting an avatar inside it.
His gaze then settled upon a large, scarlet cocoon emanating intense waves of life and soul force. It pulsated rhythmically, responding to Cain’s attention, as if eagerly awaiting its liberation.
“It’s finally time for you to awaken,” Cain declared firmly, raising one hand. As his words resonated, powerful streams of life force erupted from Lord of Conquest Leviathan, saturating the cocoon. The cocoon trembled violently, its surface fracturing before shattering completely and revealing the figure inside.
From within emerged a handsome young man with dark hair and eyes swirling like endless vortices of shadows. At first glance, his appearance, aura, and even soul essence perfectly mirrored the Night Prince.
Of course, this person was no longer the original Night Prince. Instead, it was the Sky Sovereign, whose soul had been flawlessly fused into this body by Cain’s immense mastery. The fusion was so seamless, so perfect, that not even Third Realm beings could detect any discrepancy.
Cain gestured calmly, transporting the newly reborn Sky Sovereign from the Soul Dimension into the Gu World itself.
“How do you feel?” Cain inquired, already confident the fusion had succeeded. Yet, despite his assurance, he still wanted explicit confirmation to avoid any unforeseen complications.
The Sky Sovereign paused briefly, closing his eyes to thoroughly inspect his new vessel before answering in a tone filled with genuine amazement. “It feels extraordinary. I sense complete attunement to this body—as if it’s always been an extension of my very soul. There’s none of the discomfort or resistance typically associated with possession. It feels entirely natural, harmonious.”
Cain’s lips curved into a satisfied smile. The better the Sky Sovereign adjusted to this body, the more effectively he could carry out his role as a key general in Cain’s future campaigns. Without delay, Cain gently waved his hand again, summoning one of the special scarlet seeds from his Soul Dimension.
Instantly, the Sky Sovereign’s eyes sharpened, focusing intently on the seed. Even though his soul force and perception hadn’t fully recovered to his peak state, he could still sense the enormous power and extraordinary potential emanating from it. Clearly intrigued, he silently awaited Cain’s explanation.
Cain sensed the man’s curiosity and wasted no time satisfying it. “This is a Scarlet Leviathan Seed,” he began, methodically explaining its intricate details and capabilities. He elaborated on how the seed functioned, its potential growth trajectories, and its fundamental connection to Cain’s own Alter-Ego, the Lord of Conquest Leviathan, and the Scarlet Throne.
After Cain’s detailed explanation concluded, the Sky Sovereign stared at him in stunned awe. Creating a new species, even one that relied heavily on a host, was an extraordinary achievement. Few beings, even among the pinnacle Prima Deities, possessed the capabilities or the audacity required to create life forms at this level. Although the Leviathans weren’t entirely independent, their potential for power and evolution was genuinely groundbreaking.
Cain, noticing the awe in the Sky Sovereign’s eyes, couldn’t help but smile faintly. Yet, he maintained humility, knowing full well the seeds were remarkable but not yet comparable to the creation feats achieved by the legendary Samsara Lord. After all, that man created actual supreme races, the Neo-Demons and the Depravitas.
He paused, making direct eye contact before continuing seriously, “This seed is particularly special. It’s a Royal Scarlet Leviathan Seed. Its uniqueness lies in its ability to establish a stable direct link with my Alter-Ego, Lord of Conquest Leviathan, thereby granting you a fraction of its extraordinary power. It can harness roughly twenty to thirty percent of Leviathan’s power, enough to render you invincible in the Soul Realm.”
A tremor of excitement visibly passed through the Sky Sovereign, whose thoughts were already racing through the possibilities. The man had seen Lord of Conquest Leviathan’s power. He knew twenty to thirty percent of such immense power was enough to allow a cultivator in the Divine Transcendence rank to hold their own against weaker Prima Deities, maybe even push the fight to a draw.
Before the Sky Sovereign could become overly enthusiastic, Cain’s voice grew solemn, tempering expectations with a warning. “However, you must understand the risks. Using this Royal Scarlet Leviathan Seed to channel Leviathan’s immense power will place extraordinary stress upon both your body and soul. In the best-case scenario, you’ll be left in a coma for several months, unconscious as your body attempts to adapt. In the worst-case scenario, you could end up crippled, requiring substantial resources and my direct intervention with Tribulation Enhancement to stabilize you.”
Though his initial enthusiasm was tempered by Cain’s cautionary words, the Sky Sovereign wasn’t too surprised. The universe always seeks balance, offering great power only at significant risk or cost. Despite these dangers, his desire for such extraordinary strength had not diminished in the slightest, as it would make his path back to the Third Realm much easier.
