Chapter 1619: The Sky Sovereign’s mission
Cain’s eyes glowed as he analyzed the potential now displayed by the Sky Sovereign, already envisioning the immense possibilities ahead.
“If he can push the evolution of the Scarlet Leviathan further, his talent might even ascend to the Third Order, giving him a significant chance to reach the peak of the Prima Deity Rank and perhaps even a faint chance of reaching the elusive Archdeity Realm,” Cain mused inwardly, his thoughts filled with anticipation. The stronger the Sky Sovereign became, the more invaluable and indispensable he would become in Cain’s grand ambitions.
Not losing his focus for long, Cain quickly addressed the Sky Sovereign, clarifying the coming steps. “Inside the Scarlet Leviathan resides every memory and insight belonging to the Night Prince. Soon, they will flood your mind and soul, granting you access to everything the young prince knew and experienced throughout his entire life.”
The Sky Sovereign softly nodded, his expression solemn yet resolute. He could already sense new fragments of memories appearing in his consciousness.
Although Cain himself had not directly consumed the Night Prince’s soul or ego, Reverend Madness had done exactly that during his rebirth, thereby indirectly transferring all of the young prince’s accumulated knowledge and experiences into Cain’s possession. Now, through the Scarlet Leviathan Seed, these same insights were becoming accessible to the Sky Sovereign as well.
Once everything had been clearly laid out, the Power of Order surged fiercely within Cain’s eyes, eradicating any lingering traces of emotions and projecting an intense, oppressive pressure onto their surroundings.
This power felt like a tangible force, bending reality itself into submission. The Sky Sovereign involuntarily trembled as he caught sight of Cain’s eyes, and fear gripped his heart.
He had battled countless opponents across his long existence, but never before had mere eye contact provoked such profound dread. Even though they were allied, the Sky Sovereign harbored no illusions regarding Cain’s true nature.
He understood with absolute clarity that he was dealing with a being of unparalleled ruthlessness—someone who could slaughter billions without a second thought, whose rage and vengeance alone could freeze the blood of even the mightiest demons. The Sky Sovereign recognized with absolute certainty that betrayal would result in a fate infinitely more harrowing than death itself.
“Your mission will not be easy, but it is straightforward,” Cain declared, his voice cold, sharp, and unwavering. “Infiltrate the Golden Star Kingdom. Become one of them, learn their deepest secrets, and evaluate their defensive capabilities. When the time comes, regain your former strength as a Prima Deity and seize control of the kingdom.”
Cain’s orders left no room for negotiation or hesitation. While commanding someone to take over an organization at the Lord-tier was undoubtedly an incredibly challenging endeavor, the Sky Sovereign understood it as the necessary price he had to pay if he desired Cain’s assistance in eventually confronting an Archdeity.
“I understand and fully accept this responsibility,” the Sky Sovereign responded firmly, offering a deep, respectful bow. After a moment of silence, he raised his head once more, curiosity evident in his eyes as he asked, “What is your vision for the Golden Star Kingdom once it’s under my control?”
Cain nodded appreciatively at the Sovereign’s immediate dedication and resolve, acknowledging his seriousness. His voice retained its authoritative tone as he spoke clearly and decisively.
“I’m not a hypocrite. I have no moral issue with warriors following either a demonic or righteous path. If you embark on the path of power and immortality, you must be ready to face death at any moment.
However, there are rules I will enforce strictly. I will never tolerate xenophobia or the deliberate harming of mortals. If anyone’s heart is so corrupted by racial hatred or lust for mindless slaughter that they cannot accept these conditions, their souls will become parts of my throne.”
Cain’s path was undeniably ruthless and demonic. His growth relied upon devouring enemies without hesitation, and this pattern would undoubtedly be emulated by those who joined him, especially now that they possessed access to the Scarlet Leviathans.
Yet, there was an essential difference between pursuing power through conquest and destruction versus mindless prejudice and violence against innocents. He expected his followers to uphold this distinction without compromise, or else he would consume their bodies and souls without hesitation.
The Sky Sovereign nodded gravely, approving wholeheartedly of Cain’s philosophy. Born and raised in a universe where xenophobia and racial conflict were deeply ingrained, the Sovereign himself had once harbored profound prejudice against the Dark Races during his youth.
Yet, as he grew stronger and attained deeper insights into existence, he found such feelings increasingly narrow-minded. Now, having been reborn, experiencing the world anew with broadened perspectives, the Sky Sovereign saw racism as a shallow, naïve, and dangerous flaw. Moreover, the irony was never lost on him that the individual he hated most passionately was not a foreigner but another member of his own Godslayer Humankind race.
Seeing that his orders had been thoroughly understood, Cain relaxed slightly, allowing a small smile to appear on his face. “Excellent, we are finished here. However, before you leave, there is one more thing I require from you,” Cain added calmly, his voice returning to its usual confident tone. “Share with me all of your knowledge and mastery regarding rune crafting. Send everything directly into the Scarlet Leviathan. I will access it from there.”
The Sky Sovereign tilted his head slightly, showing mild surprise at Cain’s request. “Certainly, that’s no problem,” he responded immediately. “I didn’t know you had an interest in rune crafting yourself.”
Cain quickly shook his head. “It’s not for my own use. I already have more than enough on my plate with Genetic Coding and Tribulation Enhancement. Dividing my attention any further would be unwise and counterproductive. No, the knowledge is intended for a member of my family.”
Accepting the explanation without further question, the Sky Sovereign nodded once more. A moment later, his powerful Ego Wave surged forward, flooding directly into the Leviathan Sovereign within his Soul Dimension.
Within this torrent of psychic power was the entirety of his profound understanding of runes, accumulated over millions of years. The knowledge, techniques, and principles of rune crafting flowed effortlessly, rapidly becoming available for Cain to assimilate.
