Chapter 1620: Aether’s evolution
With everything taken care of, Cain waved his hand, generating a new portal. “This will leave you in the void close to the Everlife Continent. Do not go near the Nightmare Kingdom. Among the faction leaders, only the Night Prince remains unaccounted for, so I am sure that the Patriarchs of the Gu Sect are keeping a close eye on his home. As a matter of fact, it is better if you head straight into the Golde Star Kingdom. ”
The Sky Sovereign nodded respectfully to Cain. While there were treasures he could exploit and relations he could take advanced from the Nightmare Kingdom, it was not worth the risk of drawing the attention of Prima Deity. After all, his mission required absolute secrecy, and everything would go to waste if Cain was forced to save him.
After performing a deep bow, the Sky Sovereign stepped through the portal and vanished from the Gu World.
Cain was completely alone in the Gu World now, though that solitude was short-lived. He took a deep breath, and immediately afterward, a vast sea of Ego Wave erupted from his form, rippling through the surroundings.
It swiftly consolidated a few meters before Cain, coalescing into a perfect duplicate of himself. The aura radiating from this clone was so overwhelmingly potent it seemed capable of effortlessly defeating even Peak Divine Transcendence Masters.
Cain and his clone exchanged a glance, acknowledging their mutual understanding. “This should be sufficient to control the defenses and cloaking capabilities of the Gu World, ensuring no one can locate or access it before my return.”
With everything now securely arranged, Cain took another steadying breath and vanished from the Gu World, instantly reappearing in the endless void. His gaze swept across the boundless expanse, perceiving nothing but violent waves of chaotic energy surging through the emptiness. However, thanks to the memories he inherited from Reverend Madness, Cain knew precisely where the Gu World resided.
“Its cloaking abilities are even more advanced than those of the World Veil,” Cain remarked to himself. “I suppose it makes sense; after all, when Reverend Madness crafted it, he was an Archdeity.”
Cain confidently nodded, reassured of his course, before surging forward. Space itself seemed to tear apart in his wake as he effortlessly cleaved through spatial storms and turbulent energy waves, pushing toward his destination with astounding speed.
After only a brief interval, Cain reached the concealed location of Aether and swiftly passed into it.
“RUMBLE!!!”
A deep rumbling reverberated throughout the world the very instant Cain entered its boundaries, causing him to frown momentarily. He had deliberately suppressed his overwhelming energy to avoid harming Aether’s fabric of reality.
Yet, to his surprise, the trembling wasn’t due to harm or strain; rather, it was an exuberant resonance—the world itself was becoming stronger!
Cain’s eyes brightened with enlightenment as realization dawned upon him. He perceived the World King Avatar—the manifestation of his willpower anchored within Aether’s World Will—rapidly growing stronger, harmonizing itself with his newly elevated Alter-Ego.
The next moment, a colossal phantom emerged behind Cain, emitting a resonant, primal roar. It was none other than the mighty Lord of Conquest Leviathan, whose towering figure extended across millions of kilometers, casting a shadow capable of shrouding entire continents. With a deafening roar, the Leviathan poured boundless waves of power directly into the ocean of psychic energy that formed the World Will.
Simultaneously, the pure, revitalizing energy from Aether surged through Cain’s body and soul, replenishing every ounce of energy he expended. Cain couldn’t suppress a smile as radiant might glowed brightly in his eyes. Encouraged by the exhilarating cycle of energy, he exerted even greater power through the Leviathan, intensifying the mutual empowerment.
Across Aether, countless beings felt the sudden quake and tremors beneath their feet. Panic briefly surged among the populace as confusion spread, but that fear quickly dissolved. They felt an influx of pure, invigorating energy enveloping their world, enhancing its vitality and strengthening the Laws governing their existence.
Soon, smiles spread across the population as people felt the world growing stronger.
This continuous cycle of power and mutual strengthening between Cain, Leviathan, and the World Will persisted for a full five hours. Finally, the strength of the World King Avatar ascended to an entirely new echelon, and the trembling that had engulfed Aether gradually ceased.
Cain’s eyes now shone with profound enlightenment, clearly sensing his enhanced attunement to the fundamental Laws of reality. He might not have deepened his understanding of his most dominant Laws significantly, but the myriad of other Laws had etched themselves into every fiber of his being, dramatically elevating the potential of his Inner World.
“Hahaha, welcome back, World King!”
A friendly voice resonated nearby, jolting Cain from his reflective state. Turning around, he saw the smiling visage of an elderly man who exuded wisdom and tranquility. It was Ao, the sentient core of the World Will, the conscious mind of Aether itself.
Ao gazed toward the vibrant sky and the endlessly expansive ocean, and his expression filled with serene contentment as he felt the pulsating strength surging through them. “I never imagined I would evolve to such heights this soon.”
Cain softly nodded, sharing Ao’s sentiment while sensing the powerful currents of vitality that now surged throughout Aether. Though the Gu World had possessed far greater raw energy and advancements in the past, it lacked the invaluable sentience of Aether and its immense potential.
With thoughtful pride, Cain remarked, “So you’ve ascended to the level of a Secondary World. That is truly impressive.” Although the origin of the improvement was his Alter-Ego, Cain knew that the stronger Aether became, the more he and his people would benefit from it.
“It is all thanks to you, World King,” Ao responded sincerely, his eyes sparkling with genuine gratitude. He clasped his hands and bowed respectfully to Cain, his figure gradually becoming ethereal before vanishing entirely. Ao returned once more to the boundless sea of psychic energy from which his consciousness had originated, content and empowered by the transformation.
