Chapter 1631: Evolving the Thirteen Stars of Doomsday (I)
One of them was an Inferno Daemon gripping a majestic sword that radiated demonic ice, chilling the very air around him. The other was a Godslayer Human clad in imposing armor that emitted gravitational waves powerful enough to crush mountains and reshape landscapes.
Although these two extraordinary figures stood at the forefront of opposing armies, the hidden truth was that they both secretly served the same master.
In fact, these warriors were none other than the two strongest members of the Thirteen Stars of Doomsday, elite cultivators whose names echoed throughout Aether.
The Inferno Daemon wielding the ice-enchanted sword was Zero Mint, an ancient hero revered throughout the Inferno Daemon Race. Beside him stood Gabriel Typhon, the former Godslayer Human King-Emperor of Aether, a warrior whose mastery over gravity allowed him unparalleled dominance on any battlefield.
Though their current confrontation appeared real to the untrained eye, it was merely a façade, a carefully staged conflict meant to conceal their shared allegiance and true purpose.
Cain, observing them from atop the colossal Void Creature, narrowed his eyes thoughtfully as he analyzed the depths of their cultivation and power. After a moment, he softly nodded to himself, quietly satisfied with his assessment.
“They have already reached the Late Divine Transformation Rank,” Cain murmured, “but their actual strength far surpasses that. They could certainly hold their own against cultivators who have stepped into the Early Divine Transcendence.”
While such prowess would typically be seen as extraordinary—placing them firmly within the upper echelon of all known cultivators—in Cain’s eyes, it was merely adequate.
The future he envisioned required generals far stronger than merely adequate. Thus, without hesitation, Cain waved his hand, causing two shimmering Royal Scarlet Seeds to manifest in midair.
The two warriors noticed Cain’s gesture and stood perfectly still, respecting their master’s intent and trusting him implicitly. Without another word, Cain propelled the Royal Scarlet Seeds toward Zero Mint and Gabriel. The seeds effortlessly penetrated their foreheads, quickly embedding themselves deep within their Soul Dimensions.
Zero Mint and Gabriel instantly felt overwhelming pressure as immense scarlet suns exploded into existence inside their minds, instantly filling their entire consciousness with a powerful, devouring force.
The initial impact was so overwhelming that both warriors nearly fainted from the intense energy drain, but Cain swiftly intervened, carefully controlling the sudden influx of energy by channeling his own immense psychic force.
The two warriors’ eyes widened in astonishment as they watched the scarlet suns grow exponentially, becoming so large that cracks began to form across their radiant surfaces. Then, in a brilliant flash—
“BOOM!”
—the scarlet suns burst apart, sending fragments of luminous scarlet energy cascading throughout their Soul Dimensions. From within the radiant aftermath emerged a majestic demonic winged serpent bathed in scarlet flames.
“ROAR!”
The Nascent Scarlet Leviathans unleashed a deafening roar within their minds, triggering an intense, insatiable devouring force. Immediately, Zero Mint and Gabriel felt their cultivation speeds skyrocket as their bodies began ravenously absorbing surrounding energies, all thanks to the newly-awakened Concept of Gluttony within their Scarlet Leviathans.
Yet Cain did not stop there; he continued to feed psychic energy into the serpents, rapidly causing them to grow until each Leviathan reached over ten thousand meters in length.
A second surge of energy triggered another evolution, transforming them into even more powerful forms: Ascendant Scarlet Leviathans.
As the Ascendant Leviathans solidified, they not only exponentially magnified the devouring force but also awakened the Concepts of Life and Power within the two warriors.
Zero Mint and Gabriel stood frozen in awe as an invisible, primal force surged through their flesh, bones, and souls, remolding them completely from the inside out and granting them power beyond their wildest dreams.
Yet even after witnessing such an extraordinary transformation, Cain’s expression remained stern. Turning sharply toward Zero Mint and Gabriel, he asked directly, “The organizations you infiltrated—are their leaders truly beyond redemption, as your initial information indicated?”
Hearing Cain’s solemn question, both warriors quickly composed themselves. A heavy seriousness settled over them as they remembered the cruelty and atrocities they’d witnessed firsthand. Zero Mint spoke first, disdain and disgust filling his voice.
“They’re irredeemable, my King,” he declared bluntly. “Their xenophobia blinds them completely, and their cruelty is matched only by their reckless incompetence. They deliberately send loyal soldiers into battles where death is certain, sacrificing their own followers without hesitation or remorse. They truly care for no one but themselves.”
Gabriel Typhon nodded grimly, his eyes filled with cold contempt. “Zero Mint speaks the truth, my King. These individuals are beyond salvation. Their hearts are blackened with cruelty and malice.”
Cain nodded in silent understanding. He had intentionally dispatched his trusted followers into these corrupt organizations, knowing full well the depths of their depravity. Infiltrating such evil groups would present attachment to be forged, and make it easy for his men to consume them.
Suddenly, Cain’s eyes glowed fiercely, and in the blink of an eye, he vanished. Only a few seconds passed before he reappeared, effortlessly restraining two powerful figures: one elderly man and a younger man. They struggled furiously, desperate terror etched across their faces, but Cain’s grip remained utterly unbreakable.
Zero Mint and Gabriel stared in shock, momentarily overwhelmed. They despised the two captured leaders deeply, but they had to admit they were powerful Late Divine Transcendence Masters. Yet seeing them reduced to helpless prisoners by Cain’s mere presence drove home just how vast the gap between them truly was.
Cain paid little attention to his captives, turning instead to his sons, Rylanor and Magnus, who had been quietly observing from the side.
“Rylanor, Magnus—when you follow the path of Gluttony, always aim to consume the wicked. Not only will this lighten the burden on your conscience, but more importantly, few mourn the deaths of truly evil beings. Their loved ones, if they have any, seldom seek revenge.”

The two boys solemnly nodded, internalizing their father’s lesson deeply.
Cain’s eyes flashed again, and the Ascendant Scarlet Leviathans emerged from Zero Mint and Gabriel’s minds, hovering menacingly above their captives.
The demonic serpents’ crimson eyes blazed with insatiable hunger as they regarded the two terrified masters. Utter horror engulfed the prisoners as the Leviathans lunged forward, their monstrous jaws opening wide.
Normally, the two captives possessed more than enough power to crush such creatures, but under Cain’s absolute suppression, they couldn’t even summon a spark of resistance. In their current state, frozen and helpless, they could only watch in silent dread as the Ascendant Scarlet Leviathans devoured them alive.
