The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1660
Chapter 1660: Golem
Cain could not have cared less about the stunned expressions on the trio’s faces. Instead, he displayed only a subtle smile in response to the robotic voice that echoed in his mind.
[Hacking completed. 500 Spiritual Destiny Force consumed. Energy formations of the Golden Star Kingdom’s capital have been deactivated.]
It had cost him dearly, yet he knew very well that victory over a Lord Tier faction would grant him far more Spiritual Destiny Force than a mere five hundred points.
Cain’s gaze swept calmly over the trio still suspended in shock mid-air, taking in their disbelief with satisfaction. He rose slowly and confidently into the sky, his aura intensifying rapidly with each passing second.
As his presence expanded, everyone below—be it the soldiers of the Golden Star Kingdom or the warriors of the Gu Sect—watched him with varying emotions: dread, awe, horror, admiration, and even reverence.
Cain’s abilities were simply too overwhelming and outrageous, leaving all who witnessed him incapable of doubt.
The next second, the young man’s voice resonated powerfully across the battlefield, carrying authority that was impossible to defy.
“Gu Sect, hear my words clearly. March into the core of the Golden Star Kingdom’s castle and eliminate everyone at the Divine Tier—but do not harm anyone else.”
Surprise flickered through the ranks of the Gu Sect’s soldiers. They were part of a demonic faction, after all, one not known for its discipline or restraint. Collateral damage and wanton destruction were common practices, and Cain Laurifer himself was no saint. The sheer number of lives he had personally ended could easily fill oceans.
Yet, despite their surprise, none of the nearly twenty thousand men and women voiced any disagreement or hesitation. Every soldier silently nodded, fully aware of the terrifying consequences that awaited anyone foolish enough to defy “The Monster.”
Cain’s wrath was known to be far crueler and more torturous than mere death, and no one intended to put his patience to the test.
After giving his orders, Cain cast a brief but meaningful glance toward Pation, Lancer, and Karter. Immediately after that, his body then transformed instantly into storm light, blurring as he appeared directly in front of the still-dazed Golden Star King.
Without pause, Cain struck fiercely, blasting upward with the old monarch into the high sky, far above the city.
Makiela and Arman could only react belatedly, too slow to interfere effectively. By the time they gathered their wits, their king had already been forcibly separated from them. But the two had no time to consider the king’s fate—Pation, Lancer, and Karter suddenly surged forward, their tremendous power and burning killing intent blazing brighter and hotter than a star.
Pation, wielding his massive bastard sword, moved to directly engage Arman. His weapon exploded with a gravitational force powerful enough to distort space-time itself. Meanwhile, Makiela was swiftly cornered by the combined assault of Lancer, who had assumed his massive wingless dragon form, and Karter, whose body burned fiercely with destructive flames.
The supreme powerhouses of the Gu Sect fought with astonishing ferocity. Yet, despite their overwhelming assault, they remained extremely careful and controlled. They guided Makiela and Arman away from the city, deliberately limiting collateral damage and adhering strictly to Cain’s instructions.
High above, the Golden Star King bellowed in fury.
“Let go of me!”
Golden flames erupted within his eyes as his body unleashed a violent surge of psychic power, rippling through every fiber of his being.
“Liberación Total: Golem!”
Immediately, the Golden Star King’s body expanded exponentially, transforming into a colossal entity crafted entirely from dense earth and stone. Majestic circular runes, imbued with ancient and unyielding strength, appeared all across the towering form.
The sheer force of this transformation hurled Cain backward, yet he swiftly regained his balance, eyes focused intently on the gigantic figure now before him.
“Die!” roared the Golden Star King, launching a massive, rocky fist toward Cain with force sufficient to shatter mountains.
Cain’s eyes narrowed in slight surprise at witnessing the king’s ability to perform Liberación Total but did not allow it to affect his composure. Cain channeled immense energy into his Shooting Star Dragon Halberd, igniting the weapon in dazzling crimson flames before meeting the gigantic fist head-on.
An explosive collision filled the sky, sending shockwaves of golden and scarlet flames cascading outward. Yet, after just a brief stalemate, Cain decisively pushed the Golem’s fist away. A puzzled look flickered briefly in Cain’s eyes as he registered the Golem’s weaker-than-expected offensive capability.
“His endurance is impressive,” Cain murmured to himself, “but his attack power remains almost unchanged despite using Liberación Total.”
Realization soon lit Cain’s expression, his eyes glowing with enlightened clarity.
“You sacrificed your future,” Cain spoke out loud.
The Golden Star King’s eyes twitched uncontrollably, fury burning fiercely within his heart as he heard those words. Indeed, he had crippled his future potential by selecting a path far weaker to meet the stringent requirements of Mind and Body as One.
“Shut up, you insignificant ant!” The towering Golem’s voice thundered angrily, again launching an earth-shaking strike toward Cain.

Cain responded unflinchingly, crimson flames raging along his halberd as he countered each blow with ruthless efficiency.
“BOOM!” “BOOM!” “BOOM!” “BOOM!”
The explosions reverberated across the sky as Cain repeatedly clashed with the enormous golem. Each successive strike chipped further away at the massive figure’s defenses.
While the Golem’s durability and resilience were indeed extraordinary, Cain’s Sundering Concept specialized precisely in cutting through the impossible. Every strike opened deep fissures in the Golem’s form, leaving scarlet flames behind—flames that consumed the earth and stone, widening and deepening the wounds even further.
Below, the war between the Gu Sect and the Golden Star Kingdom erupted into fierce carnage, but it quickly became evident that the conflict would not be prolonged.
The Gu Sect’s Divine warriors rapidly overwhelmed their opponents within the city’s core, slaughtering their counterparts mercilessly. Although many Gu Sect warriors also fell in battle, visions of the majestic treasures promised by the Ouroboros System drove them forward relentlessly, extinguishing any hesitation or fear of death.
The advantage was even greater among the peak powerhouses. Pation easily suppressed Arman, while the combined might of Lancer and Karter pressed Makiela increasingly toward an inevitable defeat.
In fact, the battles might have ended far sooner had Pation, Lancer, and Karter not deliberately aimed to capture their foes alive. Driven by the irresistible allure of earning a 36 Spiritual Revolution Refinement, they cautiously restrained their lethal strikes, striving to preserve their valuable captives.
