Chapter 1661: Golden Star Crown Prince
“Stellar Obliteration March!” Barely an hour had passed since the beginning of the war when Cain’s voice thundered powerfully across the skies.
All eyes immediately turned upward as the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd radiated an overwhelming intensity brighter than the sun itself. In that instant, Cain transformed into a streak of storm light, flashing across the sky at unimaginable speeds. He struck the massive Golem from every direction, causing pieces of its colossal body to explode violently with each collision.
In less than a breath, the energy around the halberd reached its zenith. Cain swung down with unstoppable force, unleashing a colossal arc of fire-shadow storm light directly into the Golem’s chest.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”
The sky erupted in a devastating explosion of crimson and gold, releasing a blinding brilliance that momentarily froze the entire battlefield. As the blinding flames and radiant glow gradually dissipated, all eyes remained fixed upwards in shock and anticipation. When clarity returned, Cain hovered high above the battlefield, clutching the Golden Star King by his neck.
The old monarch’s figure was drenched in blood, and his aura had dwindled to nearly nothing—utterly powerless. Horrified despair spread rapidly across the faces of Makiela, Arman, and all soldiers of the Golden Star Kingdom. The defeat of their king meant certain doom for them all.
Cain’s expression bore no mercy or compassion. The only thing reflected within his eyes was the vision of a scarlet gate, prepared to drag another soul.
Just as he prepared to carry out the inevitable, Cain’s eyes suddenly widened.
Immediately, he released the old king and raised his halberd into a defensive stance. In that instant, a golden fist appeared, barreling forward with the unstoppable momentum of a collapsing star.
“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!”
A catastrophic explosion tore through the sky, the resulting shockwave violently hurling Cain downward, sending him crashing into the earth below.
Every gaze shifted in astonishment toward the newcomer who had just delivered a staggering blow, sending “The Monster” hurtling away with a single strike.
The figure gently caught and supported the unconscious Golden Star King in his powerful arms. He was a celestial warrior whose presence blazed with unmatched authority and divine wrath.
Short golden hair glowed faintly like strands of sunlight, framing a flawless and youthful face partially marked by glowing fissures, as though his mortal form struggled to contain the sheer energy radiating from within. His dark-golden eyes burned fiercely, filled with judgment, fury, and supreme might.
The young warrior was clad in ornate obsidian-gold armor adorned with intricate celestial engravings, each marking glowing like forged starlight. Around his head floated a halo of divine fire, casting golden rays outward like shooting stars.
“Husband!”
“Golden Star Crown Prince!”
Makiela and Arman shouted simultaneously in excitement and relief, hope instantly reigniting within their hearts and the hearts of every soldier fighting desperately beneath them.
In stark contrast, the forces of the Gu Sect—including powerhouses such as Pation, Karter, and Lancer—immediately adopted grim and cautious expressions. The aura radiating from the Golden Star Crown Prince far exceeded their expectations, feeling no less overwhelming than the power Cain himself wielded.
The Crown Prince briefly glanced down at his father’s battered and unconscious figure, a gentle and reassuring smile briefly crossing his face. “Rest now, Father. I will take care of everything from here,” he whispered softly.
With a casual motion, he placed the Golden Star King safely into a spatial storage artifact, then turned his cold, wrathful gaze upon the Gu Sect’s assembled forces.
Those eyes carried such tremendous anger that the hearts of all who met them shivered uncontrollably—as though they were standing in the presence of a furious deity.
But before the Crown Prince could rush forward and join the broader battle, another powerful explosion erupted from the ground below.
“BOOM!”
Cain emerged slowly from the deep crater his impact had created. Blood trickled from the corner of his lips, evidence of the devastating punch he’d just received. Yet, instead of anger or frustration, a strange and amused smile appeared upon Cain’s face.
“He truly looks like the hero from those old fairy tales,” Cain murmured quietly to himself, half-mocking and half-amused. “Arriving at the last moment to save his people…”
Apex’s voice suddenly echoed sarcastically within Cain’s mind, teasing him mercilessly. “I guess that makes you the villain, boy. Watch out—the noble hero has come to crush the big bad monster.”
Cain chuckled softly at Apex’s remark, quickly erupting into full laughter that confused everyone on the battlefield. He cared little for their confusion or judgment. Instead, Cain simply shook his head slowly, recalling a distant past where he, too, once imagined himself a hero—a protector rushing headlong into danger to defend friends and loved ones.
Yet the harsh reality had stripped him of those illusions long ago. The world was not a simple place, and idealistic dreams often crumbled into bitter disillusionment.
“If the world were that kind,” Cain muttered darkly, “then perhaps I wouldn’t need to burn it to the ground to create a new one.”

He swiftly banished the lingering thoughts from his mind, inhaled deeply, and focused. With a single thought, Cain summoned a dark sphere of power into existence. It rapidly expanded outward, forming a vast force field covering the entire battlefield.
The Crown Prince’s eyes narrowed sharply, immediately feeling his strength suppressed by this strange force field. Though irritated by its effects, he quickly accepted the grim reality: Cain Laurifer was not the type of opponent he could afford to underestimate or allow himself to be distracted from.
Regardless of how much he wished to rush to the aid of Makiela, Arman, and the rest, he first had to triumph over this terrifying adversary standing before him.
With eyes filled with righteous fury and killing intent, the Crown Prince clenched his fists tightly, causing his armor to tremble with barely restrained power. In response, Cain’s halberd erupted violently with scarlet flames, and the golden light shining fiercely within his eyes intensified sharply.
For a moment, oppressive silence dominated the battlefield. Then, as if compelled by destiny, both warriors surged forward simultaneously, their powerful auras colliding violently, shattering the very air around them.
