Chapter 1665: Late Divine Transformation
An Omega War—this was more than Cain had ever dared to ask for. It was, without a doubt, utterly astonishing, beyond his wildest dreams. A conflict of such scale was not just an opportunity—it was a divine wind that would carry his ambitions forward.
Cain’s vision of the future required more than strategy and cunning. It needed war. Chaos. Blood. The fall of the old and the rise of the new. He needed to dismantle those who opposed him and empower those willing to follow him into the fire. But up until now, his progress had been slow.
Not only was he limited by the strength he could muster, but he also had to tread carefully—not to provoke the wrath of the Omega Lord Tier Organization that ruled over this continent. There were limits, invisible yet absolute. Too much bloodshed, too much devastation, and that slumbering godly force would awaken—and crush him.
Yet now, that very same force had shattered its own chains. The Omega Lord Tier Organization, once a divine shackle around Cain’s neck, was now the catalyst of war. It would be the one to tear the veil of peace and bring forth a storm that would consume entire continents.
In that storm—in that destruction—Cain would find nourishment. Like a predator thriving in the chaos of a dying world, he would feed his growing army and rise.
It took him a few moments to suppress the wild excitement bubbling within him. Slowly, with practiced control, he lifted his head, mirroring the solemn expressions of those around him. He showed no trace of the thrill dancing behind his eyes.
Without further delay, Cain soared into the sky, his scarlet flames dancing around him, healing the wounds that still marked his body. He turned his attention to Pation, Lancer, and Karter.
“Let’s return to the sect,” he said. “This is over.”
The trio paused for a brief second, then nodded in agreement. Though the war against the Golden Star Kingdom had only just begun, they all knew—it could not continue. Not now. Not under the shadow of an ArchDeity’s command. It was time to leave this battlefield behind.
“Wait!”
The voice rang out across the shattered landscape, sharp and full of venom. The Golden Star Crown Prince stood there, eyes ablaze with fury, his aura surging with killing intent.
“You think you can just leave after bringing such havoc and destruction to my home?” he roared, glaring at Cain as if his hatred alone could kill.
Cain turned to face him, his calm demeanor a stark contrast to the prince’s rage. He met the fury with stillness.
“If you want the fight to continue,” Cain said softly, “I’m happy to oblige. All you have to do is throw the first punch.”
The Crown Prince’s eyes widened in realization. He clenched his jaw, his fury giving way to bitter frustration. If he attacked, if he so much as lifted a finger against Cain now, then he would be the one defying Divine Calamity’s command. And that… would be a death sentence.
The ArchDeity had made himself clear—no further conflict would be allowed. To break that order was to invoke destruction from a being who could erase empires with a breath.
The prince’s fists trembled, but he said nothing.
Cain shook his head, unimpressed, and extended his Ego Wave. The invisible force spread across the Golden Star Kingdom’s core, wrapping itself around the members of the Gu Sect still present, and teleported them away with a crimson shimmer.
Cain himself flew several hundred kilometers from the Golden Star Kingdom’s border before stopping. There, he channeled his power once more, sundering space with his halberd. A crimson portal materialized, swirling with energy, leading back to the Gu Sect’s headquarters.
Pation, Lancer, Karter, and the remaining forces of the Gu Sect crossed through the portal. One by one, they vanished into the swirling gateway until only Cain remained.
He lingered for a moment, standing on the edge of the void, before turning his gaze back.
But he didn’t look at the Crown Prince. He didn’t even glance at any of the Prima Deities. His eyes seemed to pierce the very walls of the Golden Star Kingdom and lock onto a lone figure drenched in blood, standing silently amidst corpses, with a sword in one hand and a staff in the other.
The Night Prince.
Or rather, the Sky Sovereign.
Though he hadn’t been the center of command, the Sky Sovereign had played a critical role in the battle—especially among the Soul Realm cultivators. The number of Gu Sect warriors who had fallen to his blade was immense.
Silently, without anyone noticing, the Sky Sovereign and the Scarlet King shared a glance. It lasted but a moment—yet in that second, a profound understanding passed between them. They both nodded, wordlessly acknowledging the tides to come.
Cain then stepped into the portal and vanished.
Once back at the Gu Sect headquarters, all eyes turned to him. Greed shimmered in those gazes—desire, anticipation, and hunger. That included the Prima Deities. Though the war had been interrupted, they had fought. They had killed. They now expected their rewards.
Cain noticed the unspoken expectations but didn’t particularly care. With a casual wave of his hand, a crimson humanoid figure appeared beside him, pulsing with power.
“This incarnation will oversee the Ouroboros System’s rewards,” Cain announced. “Those with the highest merit points may claim their rewards first. As for requests related to Tribulation Enhancement—you’ll need to wait until I return from my cultivation.”

He turned his gaze toward Pation, Lancer, and Karter.
“The same goes for the three of you. I will perform the Thirty-Six Revolution Refinement later. Don’t worry—it will be before the war begins.”
The trio nodded solemnly.
Without another word, Cain’s body flickered and disappeared, reappearing at the top level of the Gu Sect’s central tower. He entered what had once been the private residence of Revered Madness and sealed the room, ensuring no one could enter without his express permission.
Finally, alone, Cain exhaled.
The moment he relaxed, his entire body began to tremble. A powerful surge of energy coursed from his lower abdomen, rippling outward like a tidal wave crashing against a mountain.
A smile broke across Cain’s lips. “My Evolution Core has finally reached the Late Divine Transformation stage.”
