Chapter 1676: Into the Sea of Misfortune
The Eclipse School had been in an unusually tense state ever since the arrival of Cain Laurifer. Though nothing outwardly hostile had occurred, the atmosphere was thick with unease.

The Third Realm Masters kept a deliberate distance from Alucard’s residence, and all the members of the sect couldn’t keep their eyes from drifting toward that place again and again. Whispers filled the halls, speculations swirled in hushed tones, and the weight of the unknown settled heavily over all.

Then things escalated.

Without warning, Grand Elder Alucard appeared before the entire sect and demanded that every single evil treasure be brought to him—a very odd request under normal circumstances. He vanished just as quickly as he had appeared, disappearing back into his personal residence with the collected trove. That act alone was strange, but things soon reached a new height.

Suddenly, the sky and earth began to tremble.

“RUMBLEEEEE!”

Shock spread like wildfire. Alarm swept across the Eclipse School. Most believed a battle had erupted between Cain and Alucard. But then, wave upon wave of world energy surged down from the heavens, flowing directly into the Grand Elder’s estate.

“…Tribulation Enhancement?”

The words left the lips of one of the Prima Deities, his voice filled with disbelief. As the signs became clear, others began to recognize it too. The fluctuations of world energy, the manner in which it moved—there was no mistaking it. Someone was performing a Revolution Refinement.

Yet, even understanding what was happening didn’t lessen the shock. In fact, it only deepened it.

None of the sect’s Prima Deities was a Tribulation Enhancer, but their experience was more than sufficient to recognize the scale of the process unfolding. The amount of world e | nergy being drawn in could only be summoned by someone at the Prima Rank in the Tribulation Enhancement profession.

And there was only one person in the entire residence capable of such a feat.

Cain Laurifer.

Hours passed under the cloud of silent awe before the figure of Cain finally emerged from Alucard’s estate. His expression was calm, collected, and entirely unfazed by the storm of emotions rippling through the Eclipse School. Without a word, he turned away and vanished at astonishing speed, leaving only a lingering pressure in the air behind him.

Cain returned swiftly to the Gu Sect, a slight smile touching his lips as he saw the entire sect already mobilized and ready to march. Everyone stood in formation, disciplined and alert. The sight brought a sense of satisfaction to his eyes—but he didn’t reveal his presence right away. First, he made a detour.

Cain traveled directly to the [Samsara Arsenal Module], appearing before the Sacrificial Grounds. Without pause, he sent every single evil treasure he had acquired from Alucard into the Samsara Flame. As the artifacts were consumed, a massive wave of Fortune filled the hall.

Moments later, the castle within the module shimmered as it gave birth to thousands of new treasures. Though all of them were Tier III Gifts, their quality was nothing to scoff at. They would serve well in strengthening the Divine Transcendence Masters within his forces.

“Excellent,” Cain muttered, pleased. “This will serve perfectly as the foundation of the Ouroboros System during the war.”

Just as that thought passed through his mind, the remaining Fortune converted into Merit, which surged into his right hand and merged with his Rebirth Mark. Unfortunately, while the mark expanded slightly, it remained far from its next evolution.

Cain stored all the newly generated treasures within his Inner World, then immediately teleported out of the module and reappeared above the Gu Sect.

“Everyone, prepare to march!” Cain’s voice thundered across the skies, echoing with unquestionable authority.

Not even a minute passed before over sixty thousand cultivators ascended into the sky. Each one was a Divine Master, standing tall with pride and determination. Approximately twenty thousand of them were members of the Gu Sect, while the rest belonged to Holy Tier organizations under its command.

Though the number was impressive, Cain knew it still paled in comparison to the larger armies of other Lord Tier organizations. The Gu Sect had suffered enormous losses during the Gu Contest, especially among its Divine Cultivators.

But Cain didn’t care.

What mattered was not quantity, but quality—and his forces were elite, disciplined, and equipped with superior gear. Besides, he knew all too well that even a flawless Divine Army would barely register in the grand scale of a war that involved ArchDeities. Still, the act of moving this force had its purpose. War was the perfect catalyst for evolution. From among these soldiers, new Prima Deities could emerge.

Once the full army was assembled, Cain took his place at the forefront. He summoned the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd and slashed down with its full power.

“ZNNNNNNNN!”

A massive tear ripped through the fabric of space. Under the control of Cain’s Royal Supernova Space-Time Eye, it stabilized instantly, transforming into a massive, gleaming portal.

As the soldiers gazed into it, solemn expressions overtook their faces.

On the other side of the portal stretched a vast, dark river—so massive it would have been called an ocean if not for the fact that it sundered continents. This was no ordinary river. It separated the Everlife Continent from the Endlessdeath Continent, acting as a natural barrier of mythic proportions.

This was the Sea of Misfortune, the place designated by the ArchDeity Divine Calamity for the assembly of all forces—and most likely the starting ground of the Omega War.

Without fear or hesitation, Cain stepped forward through the portal, immediately followed by Pation, Lancer, Karter, and tens of thousands of Divine Soldiers.

Upon arriving at the Sea of Misfortune, Cain’s senses instantly sharpened. They were not the first to arrive.

Another Lord Tier Organization had already gathered.

Cain’s eyes quickly locked onto the figure standing at its head—a towering Deus Behemoth, a perfect fusion of celestial grace and primal might.

The figure stood robed in flowing garments embroidered with golden constellations. His skin was a regal obsidian hue, and from his back extended enormous feathered wings, brilliant and divine. His head bore the majestic features of a lion and a ram intertwined, crowned with spiraling black horns that radiated strength, wisdom, and dominion.
