Chapter 1679: A queen of gods
“Let’s go.”

With those two simple words, Divine Calamity gave the command—and ascended into the sky above the Sea of Misfortune, his gaze fixed toward the distant horizon of the Endlessdeath Continent. He didn’t wait to see if the others followed. There was no need.

He was an ArchDeity, a being whose will shaped reality itself. When he gave an order, it was obeyed. Not because of fear—though he was certainly feared—but because the very fabric of the universe seemed to respond when he spoke. His words were law. His commands, inevitability.

And so, just as Divine Calamity expected, the armies of the Lord Tier Organizations began to move. Millions of Divine Cultivators took to the sky, crossing the Sea of Misfortune like divine legions marching across the void. Though they were traveling together, the Lord Tier factions kept their distance from one another, always gauging their rivals, unwilling to fly too close.

Despite the looming war, centuries of rivalry and bloodshed could not be ignored. None among them had reached their exalted status without stepping on others along the way—and many had clashed multiple times over the last few thousand years. Old wounds were not easily forgotten.

Unfortunately for them, that careful formation didn’t last long.

“All those from the Endlesslight Continent, come to me.”

The command was spoken by the Hell Clan woman who had accompanied Divine Calamity—her voice rich with demonic elegance, but pulsing with authority. The moment she spoke, Auramyth and the other Prima Deities from the Endlesslight Continent turned toward her.

There was hesitation, visible in their complex expressions. Approaching one another after millennia of silent feuds and ancient grudges was not an easy ask. But any resistance quickly vanished the moment a flash of killing intent passed through the woman’s eyes. Blood surged in their veins, and their instincts screamed in response.

Without another word, they obeyed.

Cain and the rest of the Prima Deities from the other continents couldn’t help but glance at one another. Their focus shifted toward the hybrid son of Divine Calamity and the Abyssal Clan overlord beside him. It was becoming clear that leadership over the warfront was being divided among the trio.

The only question was: Who would command whom?

Then came the answer.

“All those from the Shadowcradle Continent, come to me,” the hybrid declared, his voice calm but filled with irresistible power.

The powerhouses of the Shadowcradle Continent responded without resistance. Having lived under the rigid hierarchy of the Noctis Spire Monarchy, they were accustomed to obedience. Nullavir, Queen of the Forgotten Name, led the contingent with regal poise and a graceful smile, guiding her people toward the son of Divine Calamity.

Cain couldn’t help but release a silent sigh of relief. He had no interest in being under the direct command of the ArchDeity’s heir.

Sons of supreme figures often felt the need to prove themselves—craving glory, perceiving every rising star as a threat. Cain wasn’t chasing fame, but he was destined to rise during this war. His path required bloodshed and dominance. Being beneath the heir’s leadership would have only complicated matters.

His thoughts shifted when he felt the deep gaze of the Abyssal Clan man—the third of Divine Calamity’s elite entourage—fall upon him.

Without hesitation, Cain, Alucard, and Martin moved, leading the Everlife Continent’s forces toward the man. It wasn’t long before they stood just ten meters from him. The three leaders adopted solemn expressions, and their troops remained quiet and disciplined behind them.

As they drew closer, the oppressive weight of the man’s presence became unbearable. It wasn’t spiritual or magical—it was the sheer density of his flesh and blood, the physical power of his existence, pressing on them like the gravity of a dying star.

Even Prima Deities struggled to breathe in his proximity.

The man didn’t acknowledge their discomfort. He simply spoke, his voice like shadows grinding through stone.

“I am Zoro. I will be your leader.”

Cain, Alucard, and Martin’s eyes narrowed slightly, but they said nothing. The moment was too heavy for pride.

Zoro’s eyes sharpened as he stared at the leaders of the Eclipse School, Golden Star Kingdom, and Gu Sect.

“I was tasked by Lord Divine Calamity to guide you in this war. But I am not your babysitter, nor your shield. My command is simple: Fight. Kill. Win.”

He paused, his voice turning colder.

“If you perform, we’ll have no problems. If you don’t… even if you survive the war, I will end you myself.”

He turned away after speaking, offering no further explanation.

Cain, unshaken, remained composed. He didn’t fear Zoro’s threats—he had come here to kill, to rise. This war was his crucible.

Alucard and Martin showed complicated expressions. They had power, enough to play it safe and survive under normal circumstances. But safety was no longer an option. Not under Zoro.

The march resumed in silence.

Hours passed.

No one spoke. No one dared. Every cultivator was focused on themselves, sharpening their energy, enhancing their state, and reaching for their peak condition. Even the idle thoughts of conversation felt sacrilegious in the charged atmosphere.

And then it happened.

Without warning, the senses of everyone—from the lowest Divine Ascension cultivator to the mightiest Prima Deity—flared in unison. The air froze. The world darkened.

Even Divine Calamity himself… stopped.

His face turned solemn, his eyes narrowed.

A presence unlike any they had ever felt was approaching. It wasn’t a cosmic storm, or the eruption of a sun, or the awakening of an ancient beast.

No.

It was a woman—barely two meters tall.

Her face was regal and composed, yet her glowing red eyes burned with a fierce, unwavering gaze — the gaze of a goddess who had witnessed centuries of war and emerged undefeated.

She wears a magnificent golden crown adorned with crimson spikes and sacred motifs, marking her as a queen not just of nations, but of gods.

Her expression was stern, fierce, and noble, reflecting unmatched authority. She doesn’t just lead armies — she is the judgment that ends wars!
