Chapter 1690: Secondary Astral Supremacy Star: Singularity Howl
“System, scan me!”
The first thing Cain did before diving headfirst into the hunt was assess just how far he had progressed. In his mind, there was no better assistant for that task than the system itself.
In less than a heartbeat, a cold, robotic voice echoed in his consciousness, clear and resonant.

Cain’s lips curled into a wide grin, his expression practically glowing with excitement and anticipation. Seeing the new heights his body had reached filled him with a thrill he couldn’t suppress.
While his strength and agility had only grown moderately, his vitality had skyrocketed. That incredible boost was the result of him finally unlocking the first phase of the Indestructible Herculean Technique’s Third Level.
“And soon,” he murmured to himself, “the Unified Reinforcing Force Field will temper every particle of my being… harmonize all external and internal forces… and complete the second phase.”
The technique wasn’t just a physical defense—it was the core of his survivability. In a warzone where death loomed at every corner, the Indestructible Herculean Technique could be the difference between life and oblivion. That thought alone was enough to make the fire in Cain’s chest burn brighter.
Yet it wasn’t just his body that had advanced. His Ego Wave had broken through the 1,000-point barrier, marking a critical milestone.
“I’m barely at the bottom of the Middle Stage,” Cain thought, his eyes glowing with an intense crimson flame, “yet my power can already challenge those in the Late Stage of Primordial Deity rank.”
It wasn’t arrogance—it was calculation. He had already proven it in battle and the system now confirmed it with raw data.
Then his gaze slid to the Astral Supremacy section, and his grin widened. Two stars now coursed through his essence. The Cinderheart Ruin, his original star, bolstered his flesh and blood with raw, brutal might. But now he also wielded Singularity Howl—an Astral Supremacy Star that granted access to Gravity Star Power.
Unlike Cinderheart, which was deeply embedded in his body, Singularity Howl could only be channeled through his techniques, skills, and spells.
Thankfully, the Scarlet Throne had already assimilated every memory, insight, and echo of Alexander—the previous bearer of Singularity Howl. With all that knowledge transferred to him, Cain now had vast potential to refine and utilize the star’s full capabilities.
Of course, he was far from the peak. There were still Deities—especially those ruling the Divine Sea Heaven’s army—who vastly outmatched him. But if Cain stayed out of their direct path, he was confident he could handle any other threat on the battlefield.
Without further delay, he withdrew from his system report and focused his attention outward. Even if it was just a cover, he needed to fulfill his role as a scout.
He activated the scanning tool of his [A.I. Chip Module], choosing not to rely on his Ego Wave. Though his willpower could scan far more area, it was significantly more detectable. Subtlety mattered now.
The Endlessdeath Continent was in many ways a mirror of the Everlife Continent. It was full of countless small sects and factions—each serving Holy Tier Organizations, which in turn bowed to Lord Tier Organizations above them.
Cain ignored the lesser forces. The risk of exposure outweighed any benefit in killing and consuming them. But he didn’t let the opportunity go to waste, either.
Whenever he passed one, he infiltrated them from the shadows—sending waves of his Soul Law into their minds, quietly reading every thought. Then, using the Absolute Lifeform System, he compiled a complete intelligence report and moved on.
For two straight days, he worked like a ghost—unseen, unheard, untouchable. By the time the third day arrived, Cain had a razor-sharp mental map of the region’s right flank.
He pulled a small black crystal from his space ring. Its surface shimmered faintly under the dusky light.
“Commander Zoro,” Cain said softly, “this is all the information I’ve gathered.”
Without waiting for a reply, he sent a stream of spiritual energy into the crystal. The data contained within was more than just a map. It held detailed knowledge of terrain chokepoints, patrol routes, ambush sites, and movement patterns of the Primordial Deities stationed in the area.
The crystal flared once, signaling successful transmission.
A moment later, a curt but approving voice echoed in his mind.
“Good job. We mobilize in three hours. Report any anomalies that arise.”
Zoro’s words were sharp and precise, as always. Though he didn’t say it outright, there was an unmistakable note of approval in his tone. Cain noticed—but didn’t care.
Whether Zoro liked him or not didn’t matter. What mattered was that in three hours, the other Primordial Deities would make their move.
That would draw the attention of every major force in the area—leaving Cain to move unseen in the shadows.
