Chapter 1708: Archdeity Rank Techniques
Immediately, the eyes of the Prime Deities narrowed upon hearing Andrew’s words. Though they had fought fiercely during skirmishes against the forces of Divine Sea Heaven—with lethal intent and no shortage of bloodlust in every single one of them—it was also true that most had placed a higher priority on survival than on exterminating their enemies.
That approach, it now seemed, was no longer sufficient for Divine Calamity Heaven. The powers at the top sought to push the war forward, leveraging their warriors’ greed as a motivator.
Judging by the look on the Prime Deities’ faces, it was working very well.
Andrew allowed the tension to settle in the air before raising his hand once more. A massive scroll materialized in a flash of golden-black flame before the pyramid, unfurling midair for all to see.
“This is the list of treasures and techniques available. Analyze it.”
No sooner had Andrew spoken than dozens of Ego Waves surged outward from the gathered Prime Deities, probing the parchment. By focusing on the names of the listed treasures and techniques, each deity received a personalized spiritual message detailing the nature of the item and the requirements to claim it.
Cain’s eyes gleamed with hunger as he swept through the list. He saw legendary weapons forged from mythical materials, spiritual treasures imbued with ancient power, and battle techniques that could grant an immense boost to his killing power. The further he scanned, the more intense his awe became—until he reached the final three techniques.
Their names alone carried overwhelming weight:
Sacred Sword Excalibur. Endless Layers of Abyss. Worldcell Ascension Method.
Each name evoked unimaginable power. But what truly stunned Cain was the revelation that all three were Archdeity Rank Techniques—abilities that could reshape reality and elevate their user far beyond the bounds of the Laws.
A surge of overwhelming desire slammed into Cain’s heart as he imagined what it would mean to master even one of these techniques. His thoughts focused, laser-sharp, on the last of the trio.
[Worldcell Ascension Method.
This technique reshapes the user’s body at the cellular level, forging each individual cell into a self-contained microcosmic world. Each cell acts as an independent elemental engine, capable of sustaining Law, Star Power, and vitality at a cosmic scale.
Completion: Grants the Rakshasa Immortal Body, which can ignore all physical damage beneath the Archdeity Rank.
Transcendent Mastery: Grants the Primordial Mazinger Indestructible Body, allowing the user’s flesh and blood to ignore 90% of the damage from attacks at the Early Archdeity Rank.]
Cain’s breath caught in his throat as he read. His ambition surged like a storm-tide. If he could complete this technique, he would be invincible among Prime Deities. If, somehow, he attained Transcendent Mastery, he would become a walking catastrophe, immune to nearly any threat the battlefield could throw at him.
“It couldn’t come at a better time,” Cain thought, his mind racing. His Indestructible Herculean Technique had reached its peak. It had served its purpose well, reinforcing his body to a terrifying degree—but further improvement was impossible without ascending to the Prime Deity Rank through the Astral Rebirth Path of Power. Unless, of course, he discovered a higher-tier body transformation technique…
And now one was being offered—by none other than Divine Calamity Heaven in exchange for killing Prima Deities, something he was already doing for free.
But Cain’s excitement swiftly faded into solemnity when he read the cost of such power.
“…So that’s why they’re offering Archdeity Rank techniques so ‘freely’… They never expected any of us to claim them.”
He laughed internally, the sound bitter and sharp. To unlock any of the three Archdeity techniques, one could not simply kill several Prime Deities from Divine Sea Heaven’s ranks. No, the requirement was far more impossible: one had to personally slay a member of the Triumvirate—the ruling trio of Divine Sea Heaven’s army—such as the white stag Deus Behemoth.
Previously, Cain would have dismissed the idea entirely. Though confident in his strength and cunning, even he had never underestimated the power of the Triumvirate. Each of them was not only a Peak Prime Deity, but they were also backed by the most elite techniques of the Everstrife Empyrean World. Add to that their god-tier artifacts, divine protections, and countless contingency plans, and the notion of slaying one of them bordered on madness.
But now… things had changed.
“Maybe—just maybe—if I play my cards right… there is a chance,” Cain mused. “It won’t be easy, and success would mark the beginning of a death race. But… it might be worth it.”
His mind began forming a plan—not just for the assassination, but for his survival afterward. Escape routes, identity shifts, political manipulations. It would take everything he had and more.
Still deep in thought, Cain continued scanning the parchment, and his eyes fell upon another entry—a Peak Prime Deity Rank technique named Blood Burst.
As Cain examined the technique, Andrew’s voice cut back in, echoing with authority and something else—fervor.
“Thanks to my father’s generosity, you now have access to treasures you could never have imagined. So prove yourselves on the battlefield. Let the blood of our enemies rain from the sky!”
Cain barely registered the speech, as he continued analyzing the technique, but made sure to make it seem as if he was listening.
Andrew wasn’t finished. His tone shifted—growing sharper, more dangerous.

“I want to see improvement. If there’s none… then know this: greed will not remain the only incentive.”
The warning sank like ice into the crowd.
A heavy silence fell over the Prime Deities. The implication was crystal clear: Divine Calamity Heaven was not relying solely on rewards. This was the classic carrot and stick. The treasures were the carrot. But if results didn’t follow, the stick would strike.
The tension began to rise. Everyone had been given both a goal and a threat. Soon, blood would spill like never before.
“Now return to your posts.” Andrew dismissed the gathered Prime Deities with a wave of his hand.
But before the others could disperse, Cain stepped forward.
