Chapter 1717: Impaled
“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!”

A tremendous explosion of golden radiance burst from Michael in the very next instant, surging outward like a tidal wave of pure, cleansing power.

This energy was not only immense in magnitude but also held an inherent ability to erode and obliterate everything the Deus Behemoth deemed impure.

Cain could not help but clench his fists tightly as he felt the overwhelming might of Michael’s Soul Bloodline pressing against him.

However, in the following instant, Cain’s eyes ignited fiercely with blazing crimson flames, and his own energy erupted violently.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!”

An enormous blast composed of storm-light interwoven with scarlet flames surged forth from Cain’s body, radiating a terrifying heat potent enough to consume entire stars.

Cain and Michael locked gazes, their auras colliding brutally in mid-air, the scarlet storm-light flames crashing violently against the purifying golden radiance.

“THUMP!” “BOOOM!”

Thunder and lightning echoed wildly through the dark miasma as the two primal forces clashed with unimaginable intensity, energizing every atom between them with power enough to split mountains and fracture small planes.

Their violent collision, filled with palpable hatred and murderous intent, sent shockwaves rippling through their surroundings, creating a catastrophic deadlock neither could immediately overcome.

This stalemate drew a confident smile upon Cain’s face, contrasting sharply with Michael’s bitter scowl of frustration.

“I’m too wounded and exhausted,” Michael thought grimly, recognizing that his battle power had significantly diminished, scarcely maintaining seventy-five percent of its peak due to the lingering effects of his prior encounter with Zoro.

For sixty grueling seconds, their energies relentlessly battered each other, illuminating the pitch-black miasma with chaotic flashes of crimson lightning and radiant golden thunderbolts. But as the sixty-first second approached, both warriors abruptly broke the stalemate, charging directly at one another with unyielding ferocity.

Cain’s body transformed into storm-light, moving forward at blinding speeds, while Michael’s entire form shone brilliantly, radiating as if every cell in his body had transformed into pure celestial light.

Their confrontation was instant and devastating. Michael’s fist collided with Cain’s halberd, generating an immense shockwave that shattered the nearby void.

Despite the overwhelming force, neither side retreated; their eyes locked in a deadly contest of wills, each determined to annihilate the other.

Cain’s eyes narrowed sharply, noting with astonishment how Michael had effortlessly blocked the deadly edge of his halberd using nothing more than his bare hands.

“His arms’ refinement surpasses even the strength of Peak Prima Deity Treasures,” Cain thought urgently, swiftly shifting tactics.

With lightning precision, Cain twisted sideways, breaking the stalemate as his halberd swept dangerously toward Michael’s exposed face.

Michael instinctively ducked, narrowly avoiding decapitation before counterattacking with a swift, spinning kick, unleashing a razor-thin horizontal blade of pure radiant energy capable of slicing through everything in its path.

Cain reacted instantly, The Flow enhancing his movements, narrowly dodging the deadly beam and responding immediately with a ruthless arc of storm-light aimed directly at Michael’s throat.

Michael deflected the attack with a glowing forearm, immediately countering with a powerful thrust that sent another blade of searing energy slicing toward Cain’s abdomen.

Cain deflected the strike with a swift rotation of his halberd, immediately retaliating with a downward slash that threatened to cleave Michael’s shoulder, aiming at the wounds he had left behind in their first clash.

Michael pivoted gracefully, evading the blade and launching a rapid succession of punches, each infused with explosive radiant power. Cain expertly parried each punch using the feedback from The Flow, returning fire with fierce horizontal sweeps that forced Michael into increasingly precarious evasions.

For several exchanges, their moves escalated, becoming progressively more lethal and precise, showing the skill and battle awareness of the duo.

Cain lunged forward, aiming a piercing strike toward Michael’s chest. Michael dodged just in time, responding immediately with a vertical chop of his hand that sliced through space toward Cain’s head.

Cain sidestepped, narrowly evading the deadly strike, before launching a spinning counterattack that forced Michael to leap backward urgently.

Neither slowed nor faltered; every attack was immediately followed by a savage counter, each dodge accompanied by a lightning-fast strike aimed directly at the other’s life.

Finally, an arc of sundering flames from Cain’s halberd collided with a blade of light from Michael, generating a massive explosion that sent the two flying away for several kilometers.

That only made their killing intent grow stronger. Cain’s halbeard burst with a red flame that consumed more and more energy from the surroundings, while Michael’s fists glowed with a light that grew more and more intense.

Their confrontation turned into a mesmerizing dance of death—each move executed at blinding speeds, each attack a hairsbreadth away from ending their enemy’s life. Halberd strikes clashed with fists capable of shattering mountains, their furious blows continually repelling and attracting each other in equal measure.

Every collision generated explosive energy, pushing them back temporarily, only to drive them forward once again with more strength, propelled by sheer killing intent.

At the ninth consecutive clash, the scarlet flames around Cain’s halberd reached their zenith, and Michael’s fists shone with a celestial brilliance unmatched in intensity.

Cain roared, channeling every accumulated ounce of power into a devastating final blow:

“Final March!”

A burning arc of fire-shadow storm-light surged forth, tearing violently through dimensions themselves, aiming to annihilate Michael completely.

Michael’s response was equally devastating, his voice echoing powerfully as his fist erupted forth.

“Supernova Blast!”

An incandescent wave of energy burst from his fist, shining with a brilliance surpassing that of an exploding star, its destructive force potent enough to obliterate entire planets.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!”

Their combined energies exploded with cataclysmic fury. Had this collision occurred anywhere else, the ensuing devastation would have shaken the entire continent. Fortunately, it remained hidden within the oppressive miasma, unnoticed by any other living being.

Before the blinding explosion even faded, Michael propelled himself forward at unimaginable speed, his antlers glowing like divine lances piercing through residual energy and defying natural laws.

“ZNNNNNN!” A piercing shriek reverberated throughout the darkness as Michael’s antlers impaled Cain’s torso.

Although Michael narrowly missed piercing Cain’s heart and skull, he clearly felt his antlers tearing through the lungs and liver—vital organs. A triumphant smile broke across Michael’s face as victory seemed certain.

“I won!” he declared confidently.

Yet, his triumph vanished abruptly. Cain, seemingly unfazed, gripped Michael’s antlers tightly, pulling himself forward, positioning his right eye directly before Michael’s stunned gaze.
