The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 1723
Chapter 1723: Accusations
Cain didn’t allow his focus to waver for long. His eyes moved to the final section of the System report, reviewing every detail with analytical precision. What immediately caught his attention was the improvement to his Laws.
“My Law of Shadows improving makes sense, given the constant use and training,” Cain mused aloud. “But the Law of Wind? I haven’t focused on that recently, nor have I absorbed anyone proficient in it.”
After a moment of reflection, a calm, satisfied smile crossed his face.
“So this is the result of my enhanced attunement to the world and the energy around me… it’s naturally improving my understanding and comprehension of elemental Laws.”
He was truly thrilled. His transformation into a Primordial wasn’t just a boost in power—it was a fundamental evolution that continued to reward him in unexpected and valuable ways.
As he pondered further, Cain’s thoughts drifted back to the faint silver star that had manifested during the last second of his battle with Michael. Though it had barely appeared, its effect was undeniable—his punch had carried enough force to destroy the Deus Behemoth’s nearly indestructible form. And that physical boost, he knew, was just the beginning.
“There’s something more hidden in that star,” he thought. “If I can fully awaken it, it will grant more than raw strength… it may unlock a new realm of potential altogether.”
Still, such advancement would require time—and patience.
“Time to return.”
Cain rose to his feet and looked skyward. His eyes glowed with golden light as he prepared to leave the Encroaching Darkness. For most, escaping this sea of miasma would be a Herculean task, a near-death trial. But for Cain, a master of The Flow, it was a simple task.
He aligned his movements with the currents of the corrupted energy, letting it carry him upward like a leaf on the wind. Within minutes, he emerged from the darkness into clear skies.
Without wasting a second, Cain turned toward the distant horizon and shot forward at full speed.
There wasn’t a hint of worry in his expression. Now that he had become a true Primordial, his presence had changed completely. Unless a Prima Deity personally focused their eyes on him, even they would only detect a passing breeze or a whisper in the air. And that was just the beginning.
Cain’s connection to the world had deepened to such an extent that the very elements spoke to him. Wind, stone, water, and even trees shared their senses with him, expanding his perception across hundreds of thousands of kilometers. He was no longer a man moving through the world—he was part of it.
His first destination was the Volcano Tree.
He focused his perception on the main cultivation chamber and found Jarkal’s figure resting peacefully inside. Of course, this Jarkal was merely a clone.
Cain had arranged for the clone to return to the Volcano Tree after the battle in the mountain range. If Jarkal had mysteriously vanished along with Michael, suspicion would have immediately fallen upon him. By sending the clone back and ensuring everything appeared normal, Cain had covered his tracks perfectly.
After confirming that no one had investigated or disturbed the area, and the clone remained undisturbed, Cain turned and headed toward the true center of power in the Endlessdeath Continent: the headquarters of Divine Calamity Heaven.
The distance was vast, but Cain’s speed had increased dramatically after his transformation. It didn’t take long before he arrived, floating calmly above the massive fortress.
Almost immediately, a thunderous voice echoed across the sky.
“YOU!”
The roar shattered the air like a divine thunderbolt, drawing the attention of every cultivator present.
The speaker was none other than Zoro, the Inferno Daemon, and one of the three leaders of Divine Calamity Heaven. His eyes blazed with fury as he launched himself into the sky, heading straight for Cain with murder in his gaze.
Zoro had taken time to analyze the recent events, and the more he thought about it, the clearer it became: Cain had intentionally led him into a trap. The warning about hidden dangers behind their position had prevented a retreat. The sudden enemy ambush ahead had stopped pursuit. It had all been orchestrated.
Though Zoro still didn’t fully understand Cain’s reasons, there was one thing he knew for certain—he had been used. And that was something he would never tolerate.
Cain stood still, utterly calm as Zoro flew toward him. There was no fear in his expression—only a serene, almost amused smile. He gave a small, respectful nod.
“Is there a problem, Lord Zoro?”
Zoro was prepared to make an example of Cain in front of everyone. But those words—and the peaceful demeanor behind them—gave him pause. Normally, those who attracted Zoro’s wrath cowered, begged, or at least showed some concern.
Cain showed none of that. He was relaxed, confident—too confident.
Zoro’s instincts screamed for caution. He extended his perception, pushing his psychic power toward Cain in an attempt to gauge his strength.

But he couldn’t.
“It’s like trying to peer into an elemental storm…”
Zoro’s heart skipped a beat. The young man’s aura was unreadable, as if nature itself was obscuring him.
Still, Zoro couldn’t back down. Not now. The entire army had turned their eyes toward him. What he’d intended as a public shaming was now a trap of his own creation. If he retreated, he would appear weak.
The Inferno Daemon took a breath, his gaze sharpening.
“What was the meaning of your actions?” he demanded. “You gave false information that led us into an unnecessary battle, then continued misleading us to prevent withdrawal or pursuit. Was that your plan all along?”
Every Prima Deity present turned their focus toward Cain, their expressions mixed with suspicion and tension. It was a heavy accusation. The atmosphere thickened.
Yet Cain’s smile didn’t fade. He raised an eyebrow and replied with a single, calm question:
“Do you have any proof to support your accusation?”
Zoro’s eyes widened. He had none. The logic was sound, the events suspicious—but there was no concrete evidence.
And before he could respond, another voice cut through the tension.
“Zoro is part of the Triumvirate of Divine Calamity Heaven. His word is evidence enough!”
