Chapter 1728: Cain vs Divine Calamity
Divine Calamity’s Omega Clone swiftly traversed the skies, rapidly closing in on the Volcano Tree. During the journey, he familiarized himself with the latest state of the ongoing Omega War.

He was mildly intrigued to learn that Cain Laurifer had managed to defeat Michael, a Peak Prima Deity of Divine Sea Heaven. Such an accomplishment was impressive, yet it did nothing to deter Divine Calamity from his goal.

After all, the Omega Clone possessed strength that surpassed any Prima Deity, no matter how formidable they might appear.

Still, this information provided clarity, confirming that entrusting the task to his son, Andrew, would indeed have been a mistake. Cain was clearly far more dangerous than initially assumed. The decision to send the Omega Clone was undoubtedly the correct one.

It took Divine Calamity’s Omega Clone very little time to finally arrive at the Volcano Tree. His gaze sharpened instantly as he focused on the core of the ancient structure, quickly identifying the presence of a humanoid figure formed from a blend of fire and shadows.

With his immense experience and keen insight, it was obvious to Divine Calamity that Cain had killed Jarkal, stolen his identity, and used it to maneuver effortlessly within the ranks of the enemy forces.

“Scheming and powerful indeed,” Divine Calamity thought with faint admiration, briefly lamenting the lost opportunity. A fleeting trace of disappointment flashed across his eyes—not genuine remorse, but rather the pragmatic regret one feels upon losing a valuable tool.

Yet this brief distraction did not linger. Immediately afterward, Divine Calamity lifted his hand, gathering a dense orb of black gravitational energy. He felt no need to introduce himself, nor did he waste a single word on his intended victim.

In his eyes, Cain was no more than an insignificant insect—someone he could crush whenever and however he desired. Such was the immense arrogance granted by his ArchDeity status.

Without hesitation, Divine Calamity compressed the gravitational orb into a spiraling lance. Despite it being a normal spell, its lethal power was sufficient to obliterate even a Peak Prima Deity who was caught off guard. Unfortunately for Divine Calamity, Cain had long been prepared.

At the exact moment Divine Calamity moved to release his lethal strike, Cain’s eyes sharpened intensely. Without warning, he poured his full power into the heart of the Volcano Tree.

Dozens of meticulously hidden 36 Revolutions Flames within the massive tree exploded simultaneously, filling the surroundings with a kaleidoscopic array of vibrant colors.

A thunderous roar echoed as the Volcano Tree, an ancient marvel that had stood for millions of years, violently detonated into a towering pillar of fire, shadows, and multicolored flames that surged directly toward Divine Calamity’s Omega Clone.

The Omega Clone’s eyes widened slightly in surprise—not merely because Cain had anticipated his arrival, but because he had responded with such astonishing speed, precision, and overwhelming ferocity. An instant wave of irritation and contempt surged within Divine Calamity; in his mind, Cain should have humbly accepted his predetermined fate rather than fighting against it.

Despite these brief emotions, Divine Calamity’s combat instincts remained impeccable. He instantly discarded the gravitational lance, knowing it was no longer viable, and swiftly raised both arms forward to counter the devastating attack.

“Singularity Guard Field!”

A perfectly spherical barrier of compressed gravitational energy manifested around him, intercepting Cain’s fiery assault head-on. The enormous pillar of flames and shadows struck the barrier with a deafening roar, causing space itself to ripple violently.

The impact of the strike was catastrophic enough to annihilate, or at the very least severely wound, even a Peak Prima Deity. Yet Divine Calamity’s defensive sphere not only resisted—it began absorbing the energy from the attack itself, generating a powerful halo around its edges. Clearly, the Omega Clone’s defensive prowess was nothing short of extraordinary.

Yet, before even a nanosecond had passed since the collision, a hidden space formation lit up brightly amid the clouds high above. The formation activated instantly, creating a portal from which Cain plunged downward like a falling meteor.

Flames and stormlight surged around him; his skin turned deep red, muscles bulging with barely contained power, his eyes blazing with focused intensity. Gripping the Shooting Star Dragon Halberd tightly, Cain descended like divine retribution itself.

His Primordial Eyes glowed brightly, allowing him to clearly perceive the defensive barrier’s weakest point. With absolute precision and guided by The Flow, Cain drove the halberd downward, unleashing every ounce of his formidable strength.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!”

A cataclysmic explosion echoed through the heavens, violently shaking the very atmosphere around them. To Divine Calamity’s astonishment, his previously impregnable Singularity Guard Field trembled fiercely under Cain’s assault, flames and stormlight beginning to penetrate through cracks that swiftly formed on its surface.

Divine Calamity’s eyes widened further, astonishment briefly flooding his expression. No Peak Prima Deity, no matter how extraordinary, should have been able to breach his defenses. Yet Cain had achieved the impossible, pushing the Omega Clone to its defensive limits.

Still, Divine Calamity quickly steadied himself, shaking off the momentary shock. He sneered with contempt, staring coldly at Cain. “Not good enough,” he mocked disdainfully, swiftly channeling additional energy into his guard field to stabilize it once more.

However, his confidence faltered abruptly when Cain’s right eye suddenly ignited with an intense, dark radiance—the unmistakable glow of the Dark Moon Eye.

Had the true Divine Calamity been physically present, his overwhelmingly powerful soul defenses would have instantly repelled such a technique. Merely attempting it would have driven Cain into a comatose state due to severe backlash. But this was merely an Omega Clone—powerful but fundamentally limited in comparison to the true ArchDeity.

Instantly, Divine Calamity’s consciousness plunged into a terrifying black-and-white realm. A sinister dark moon loomed ominously overhead, and countless hooks emerged violently from the darkness, viciously piercing his spiritual flesh.

For Divine Calamity, the torment felt like an eternity, his ego ruthlessly tortured within the Omega Clone. In reality, only a single second elapsed before he regained his senses. His gaze sharpened rapidly, and he shook off the terrifying mental attack, stabilizing his shaken consciousness.

Yet, though the Omega Clone’s ego and mind remained intact, the same could not be said for the Singularity Guard Field. The momentary lapse in Divine Calamity’s control was enough. The powerful barrier—already strained by Cain’s earlier assault—collapsed completely, leaving Divine Calamity exposed and vulnerable.
