Chapter 1750: Three Great Virtues
Buddha Shaky’s serene smile remained unchanging as he nodded calmly. “If that is your will, we shall follow you.”

Cain stared at the tranquil figure before him for a few more seconds, searching deeply for any hidden emotions or concealed intentions. Yet, no matter how intensely he examined the monk’s aura, there was no way to truly decipher the profound depth behind his gentle demeanor.

Sighing quietly, Cain decided it was better to proceed rather than linger on uncertainties he could not resolve at the moment.

“Do it,” Cain finally uttered with authority.

Without hesitation, Meylin stepped forward, swiftly arriving at an empty clearing deep within the continent’s heart. She held the Dark Root firmly in her hand, radiating an intense energy that caused the air around her to ripple. With determined eyes, Meylin plunged the Dark Root deeply into the earth.

Immediately, a cataclysmic upheaval erupted throughout the continent. The ground shattered, and a tremendous surge of dark power spread across the land as the massive Dark Tree violently emerged from beneath the surface. Its trunk grew rapidly, towering skyward, while roots thicker than mountains penetrated deeply into the ground.

Yet, despite the devastating transformation around them, the millions of monks remained perfectly calm, continuing their peaceful meditation without interruption. They seemed entirely undisturbed by the cataclysm occurring mere meters from them, perfectly aligned with the universe’s natural flow.

Cain closely observed Buddha Shaky throughout the entire event, searching for any subtle shifts in his demeanor. Still, the elder monk continued to maintain his calm expression, a faint yet unwavering smile permanently affixed to his lips. It was clear that even something as monumental as planting a Dark Tree was insufficient to disrupt his profound inner harmony.

Seeing this unwavering calmness, Cain felt compelled to learn more about their methods. He turned toward Buddha Shaky with curiosity burning in his golden eyes.

“What is the cultivation technique you practice?” Cain asked directly, dispensing with any false modesty. “How did you achieve such perfect harmony with the universal frequencies, allowing them to flow seamlessly through your very flesh and blood?”

Buddha Shaky turned slowly to face Cain, still smiling gently. “We Buddhas cultivate the Three Great Virtues, teachings passed down to us directly by the Enlightened One.”

As he spoke, Buddha Shaky gently waved his hand. An ancient parchment appeared before Cain, seemingly ordinary yet radiating an extraordinary aura. The profound presence contained within those simple words astonished Cain, immediately captivating his attention.

“The depth of these teachings surpasses the Prima Deity Rank,” Cain whispered, feeling his pulse quicken with excitement. “This profundity rivals cultivation techniques at the Arch-Deity level!”

Cain clenched his fists, took a deep breath, and carefully grasped the parchment, quickly immersing himself in its contents. As he studied, a deep frown gradually formed across his brow.

The Three Great Virtues were separated clearly into three profound yet deceptively simple teachings:

“Not to commit evil, to cultivate good, and to purify one’s heart,” Cain muttered, carefully reflecting on each principle. Each virtue contained profound mysteries, yet their fundamental essence remained straightforward.

“‘Not to commit evil’ means abandoning sin and desires, purifying oneself from any karmic impurities that could corrupt one’s mind or soul,” Cain analyzed quietly, shaking his head. This alone posed immense difficulty for him. Cain did not turn away from sins—he embraced and harnessed them, using them as fuel on his path of conquest.

“The second virtue, ‘to cultivate good,’ is simpler to comprehend. To perform righteous deeds, uphold justice, and promote fairness—this I can achieve,” Cain continued thoughtfully. Yet as his gaze reached the final virtue, his expression darkened.

“‘To purify one’s heart’… it enables the soul and body to become conduits for universal power. But to truly master this virtue, I must abandon resentment, let go of vengeance, transcend all negative feelings, and achieve absolute purity in my heart, soul, and will.”

Cain’s frown deepened further as he pondered this requirement. The more he analyzed the teachings, the more apparent it became that he was fundamentally incompatible with the Buddha’s path.

His mentality and personality were deeply established, already firmly set upon a path filled with ambition, dominance, and control. Such purity of heart and complete surrender to universal harmony seemed impossible for him without betraying the very core of his being.

Yet despite this heavy realization, Cain did not succumb to disappointment. Instead, a profound, determined light appeared in his eyes.

“Even if I cannot follow these teachings exactly,” Cain whispered thoughtfully, “perhaps I can grasp their essence. If I penetrate to their core, I may still evolve The Flow without sacrificing the essence of who I am.”

Cain’s lips curled into a determined smile as he turned back to Buddha Shaky. “Is there a way for me to speak directly with the Enlightened One?”

Buddha Shaky considered the request thoughtfully before finally responding with gentle sincerity. “The Enlightened One rarely intervenes directly in the First Realm. However, if you genuinely desire an audience, you can seek him at Mount Nirvana. I am certain he would gladly welcome your visit, Dreamwalker.”

“Mount Nirvana…” Cain nodded, acknowledging the information without pressing the monk further.

Turning his attention back to the majestic Dark Tree, Cain watched silently as it finally completed its growth. Its colossal roots extended deep into the continent, entwining with the very fabric of the land itself. As soon as it finished growing, the entire continent trembled violently for an instant.

“RUMBLE!”

Then, everyone present felt it—the undeniable shift of the entire landmass.

“It is moving,” Cain announced confidently, a broad smile illuminating his features. Now, all nine continents of the First Realm in the Crimson World had Dark Trees implanted within them, initiating their convergence. Slowly but inexorably, the continents drew closer together, moving steadily toward complete unification.

“Now, there is nothing left to do but wait,” Cain murmured thoughtfully, reflecting on his situation. With his cultivation paths already at their peak, further training would yield minimal benefits until this unification concluded.

Finally, after some contemplation, Cain’s expression softened, and a gentle smile appeared on his face. He moved silently toward Meylin, appearing at her side in an instant. The Depravita was momentarily startled, but one glance into his calm, confident eyes revealed his intentions clearly.

Understanding him perfectly, Meylin smiled warmly in return, gently grasping his outstretched hand. Together, they rose slowly into the sky, ascending gracefully above the continent.

They both knew that once they ascended to the Second Realm, battles far bloodier and more ruthless would await them. Moments of tranquility like this would become increasingly rare.
