Chapter 987: Into the Dream World Chapter 987: Into the Dream World Book 11 – A Journey Through the Dream World — Cain’s eyes opened as he found himself above a mountain range.

His body was composed of a powerful Ego Wave that became a red humanoid force field.

His eyes wandered around the world, and a smile appeared on his face.

“I am back!” Cain had finally returned to the Dream World!

Since Cain was bound to spend years sleeping during the ascension of Aether to the Nine Empyrean Sun Universe, it was the perfect chance for him to visit this realm.

This was a new place that seemed to hold power on an equal level with the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, as there were entities capable of sundering entire continents with a single spell.

After a closer inspection, Cain realized that his current location was different from the one he had vanished from the last time.

Back then, Cain had been forced to hastily shut down his dream since the winged man seemed to have noticed his presence, and he feared that the powerhouse had a way to harm his willpower.

As a body made of energy, Cain could freely move across mountains and the sky.

He was ready to embark in a direction when a deep frown appeared on his face, and he felt that something was different this time.

Cain glanced at his body, which was made of energy.

‘I am much more solid than the last time.’ That made sense since his Ego Wave had been at the Second Realm of the Ego Eternal Path of Power the last time he entered the Dream World, and now it was Mind Over Soul, but Cain felt something else bothering him.

‘It is not just the amount of energy.’ An odd expression appeared on Cain’s face, and a strange sensation emerged in his mind.

It was as if there were chains around his body.  Cain could not quite put the feeling into words, but his instincts told him that if he managed to break these chains, something amazing would happen.

As soon as that thought crossed his mind, everything inside him urged him to do it, to forcefully break these chains and free himself from the restraint.

The feeling was becoming stronger and stronger, to the point that it was starting to become an innate drive.

Cain frowned, and the next second, he began to fly away, moving from any populated area as fast as he could.

The drive to break the chains around him was growing more and more powerful, confusing Cain.

He kept advancing until he finally saw the shore and kept moving forward, finding himself above a large body of water with no one around.

It was at this point that Cain stopped resisting the drive.

He took a deep breath before shouting with all his strength, unleashing every ounce of power inside his willpower to break the chains that were limiting his existence.

“AHHHHHH!” No real sound emerged from that shout as Cain was simply a humanoid energy field, but as the energy inside him burst with overwhelming power, the sky above the sea began to change.

Massive storm clouds covered the sky, all of them surrounding Cain’s figure as the energy he unleashed kept rising.

Cain’s gaze displayed a sense of madness as if the drive to break the chains was taking hold of him.

No matter what, he needed to succeed, as failure was not an option.

He kept shouting with more and more strength as his willpower rose with power, making the storm around his figure broader and more powerful.

As Cain’s willpower reached its zenith, something amazing began to happen.

His body, which was an invisible red force field, began to change, his figure slowly transforming beyond a mere energy wave and into an authentic physical body!

It finally became clear to Cain where the impulse and drive that nearly drove him insane came from.

It was a fundamental instinct engraved in the deepest part of his soul, one that all people have: the drive to be born.

Cain’s rising willpower was nearing the point where it could break beyond the limits of an energy form and truly step into the Dream World in a fleshly body.  That realization made a fierce and crazy smile rise on Cain’s face as he pushed his willpower with increasing strength, driving the process forward, using everything he had.

If he could interact with the Dream World, he could do more than just search for Beelze.

‘I can devour it!’ Cain’s madness and desire only grew stronger as he pushed forward.  The storm’s power kept growing as the world’s energy seemed to form a vortex around Cain’s physical materialization, flooding his body and helping him break free of the chains that restricted him.

An energy vortex the size of a city had formed around Cain’s materializing figure, with lightning constantly falling from the sky, crashing on him, pushing the process forward.

Finally, after several hours and pushing himself harder and harder, the last dot of the energy force field transformed into a physical form.

“BOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!” At that point, a massive explosion took place, blasting away the energy vortex and the massive storm that had extended for thousands of meters.

A flaming figure flashed down from the sky and crashed into the sea.

After that clash, waves spread in all directions, but they went unnoticed since no one was around and the shore was dozens of kilometers away.

The sea soon returned to its calm state until a figure rose from it.

The one that appeared was a naked young man nearly two meters tall with white hair and yellow eyes.

‘I am flesh and blood again.’ Cain’s eyes were glowing with awe and excitement as he saw the state of his body.

His appearance was remarkably similar to the one he had on Aether, but he lacked his Collapsing Space-Time Eye.

A sense of utter thrill began to rise in his heart as he realized just how mind-blowing this was.

The Dream World had an energy cap much higher than Aether, and it would be a perfect place to train and enhance his power while his world rose to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

However, Cain did not let those thoughts cloud his judgment.

The first thing he did now that he held a physical body was try to connect back with his body in Aether, and relief appeared as he felt the connection with it.

He also felt the ability to leave this place at will but did not do it.

First of all, Cain did not know what would happen with this body once his willpower returned to Aether.

And if he did return, he would fall unconscious and could not return to this place until Aether fully ascended into the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

While there were a lot of things that Cain needed to figure out, the idea of exploring an entirely new realm full of wonder and mighty entities filled his heart with excitement.

Yet, soon, just as he attempted to move, a frown appeared on his face, and a sense of weakness assaulted him.

‘What is happening?’ A flash of worry appeared on Cain’s face as he felt so weak, but upon closer inspection, there was nothing wrong with him.

He was used to having a body even more durable than a continent and capable of flashing at a fraction of the speed of light, yet right now, he felt barely strong enough to shatter a small mountain.

‘This new body is much weaker than my real one, but that is not everything.’ A solemn expression appeared on Cain’s face as he glanced around the world, and a deep frown appeared as he realized he could not perceive anything.

Cain’s mastery over the Elemental Laws and Space-Time Laws was so powerful that with a simple gaze, he could pierce into the functions of the world’s phenomena.

Yet now, he perceived absolutely nothing other than a crushing pressure that severely limited his already weak body.

‘The same limitations that restricted the people of this world seem to be applying to my body.’ Cain still remembered how the strength the people of this world could unleash was severely hindered.

However, he also remembered very well how those in the higher realms could unleash much greater power.

The rules that seemed to reign over the Dream World were completely different from Aether’s Laws, and Cain would need to figure them out on his own as in this place he did not have the Absolute Life Form System to help him.

‘I need to leave this place before doing anything else.

I do not know how the people of this world handle anomalies like me, and I don’t want to find out until I am powerful enough.’ Cain turned around and attempted to continue rising, but an odd smile appeared as he realized he could not fly.

Without any other way, Cain simply began to swim, going in the direction of the shore as fast as he could.
