The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 992
Chapter 992: True Name Chapter 992: True Name Relin showed a grand stance and a mighty aura as he uttered those words before turning to the castle’s exit.
“It would be easier to teach you in a place where we don’t have to worry about collateral damage.
Follow me.” Cain nodded to the old man, and they both left the castle before rising to the sky and flashing away from the fortress.
It did not take long for Cain and Rellin to reach a desolate forest far from any populated center.
A solemn expression appeared on the old man’s face as a scholarly aura arose from his eyes, prompting a similar sharpness and focus to rise in Cain’s eyes as he understood that the lesson was about to start.
Rellin wasted no time in delving into the heart of the matter.
“The Level System, the primary strength system of the human race and nearly all races in the Crimson World, is a crucial element of our existence.
Its key lies in the energy pool, a unique dimension nestled within your brain.” Cain did not say a word and remained silent as he continued listening to Rellin’s words with utter focus.
“For most people, the energy pool is born empty, and you must fill it with your Spirit Power, which takes the form of a gray liquid.
This Spirit Power is the lifeblood of the Level System and the barrier that determines your level cap.
There are myriad forms of training and improving your Spirit Power.
However, your innate talent and vitality limit its growth.” A small smile appeared on Cain’s face as he finally learned the name of the gray water that had filled his energy pool, and he nodded to Rellin, indicating his understanding.
“After raising enough Spirit Force, you can start to fill it with one of the myriad energies that flood the Crimson World.
Once you choose an energy, you must decide the type of path you wish to follow.
The more mainstream energies are mana, which commonly gave birth to mages and inner force, the main power of warriors.” Rellin extended his right hand as a sky-blue energy emanated from it.
“I am a mage, and as you can see, my energy pool is filled with mana.” After that, Rellin extended his hand into the distance, and his mana changed.
It took the form of a massive fireball that the old man shot into the distance, making it clash with a large tree and bursting it to pieces in a second. “Mages have access to a myriad of spells we can use to display immense destructive power and surprising energy defenses, making us greatly superior to warriors.
Of course, warriors can specialize in different paths as they grow stronger and obtain all sorts of unique abilities.
Saying that mages will always triumph over warriors will be foolish and depend on the individual fighting.” Rellin made a small pause at this point, giving Cain time to understand his words before carrying on.
“In the end, there are dozens or even hundreds of paths you can follow and specialize in, but ultimately, their goal is simply to provide you with a way to raise your Spirit Force and then transform this one into a specific energy so you can rise in the Levels.” Cain’s understanding of the world became more and more clear.
The Level System was straightforward and did not require all the transformations and unique alterations of the Essence Evolution Path of Power and Astral Rebirth Path of Power.
However, it lacked flexibility in the range of abilities it granted.
It was significantly limited by talent, which seemed to be determined during your birth, with almost no way to change it.
His memories of his last exploration of the Crimson World were still clear.
He remembered the woman and warrior on horseback fighting the stone dragon.
The female was clearly a mage, and the warrior must have been some sort of specialized class of the warrior path.
They were able to cover each other’s weaknesses and display immense power, showing the importance of teamwork.
After a moment to fully integrate this new information, Cain nodded toward Rellin, indicating that he should carry on.
“Once you reach Level 18, a cultivator gains the title of Sky Master as their energy pool becomes strong enough for them to fly through the sky.
Those with great talent can awaken an Innate Ability.” As Rellin reached this point, he focused on the third eye on Cain’s forehead, which expressed a powerful devouring intent.

“These Innate Abilities are determined by your inner traits, personality, and course through cultivation.” Cain showed a small smile as he heard those words.
It was clear that an Innate Ability like the Eye of Gluttony would not be born in an innocent and naive person.
Rellin did not dwell too long on the subject before carrying on with the final part of his explanation.
“Once you reach Level 20, your Spirit Force will have reached its limit, and you will earn the title of Sky Lord.
To continue advancing in your Level and becoming a Legend, you must rely on something greater than your Spirit Force to contain your energy.” Immense focus and eagerness rose in Cain’s eyes as he heard those words.
He needed a way to keep growing in power if he wanted to leave Trinity Island and reach the mainland.
Rellin stared directly into Cain’s eyes, and his voice was solemn as he expressed the key behind the rise to Legend.
“To rise beyond Level 20, you must awaken your True Name.” Cain could not help but adopt a solemn stance, and a feeling of awe assaulted his heart.
He did not know why, but his instincts told him that power would do wonders for him, pushing him to obtain it no matter what. “Can you tell me more about the True Name?” Cain knew Rellin was stuck at Level 18, but he hoped the man would have something he could use to guide himself into the Legendary Realm.
