The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order - Chapter 995
Chapter 995: The Dark Brotherhood Chapter 995: The Dark Brotherhood The distance from the Arshop Dukedom to the Saint Trinity Realm was vast, and there were no teleportation formations or artifacts of that sort on Trinity Island, forcing the duo to fly.
Although it was boring, Cain enjoyed the journey as it was relaxing for him to fly without a care in the world, something he could not really do in Aether.
Cain and Rellin took the shortest route to the Saint Trinity Realm.
Still, they avoided fortresses and other important areas, as neither wanted to be detained or arouse suspicion from the powerhouses of the Trinity Kingdom.
The duo passed through large cities and towns, with the people in them constantly bowing as they passed.
The Trinity Kingdom’s population was small for the size of the land they occupied, only reaching a few dozen billion.
It did not take long for Cain and Rellin to reach a massive desert full of deep canyons.
Its name was the Grotto of Sorrows due to the weeping sound the air made as it passed through its crevices.
The Grotto of Sorrows was full of powerful magic creatures, but the duo was not worried as none of those could pose a danger to Sky Masters.
However, a sharp and cold light appeared on Cain’s face as he stopped his advance, making his sword appear in his hand as the Eye of Gluttony began to inspect the terrain.
Rellin frowned as he saw Cain suddenly stop.
Noticing the wariness in the young man’s eyes, he knew something was wrong, and his wand and mana rose, ready to strike at any second.
Cain did not say a word and continued surveying the terrain with his Eye of Gluttony before finally focusing on a large aperture on the side of a canyon.
Without hesitation, he waved his sword, sending an arc of fire that blasted into the area.
“BOOOOOM!” Flames and dust spread in all directions as the attack destroyed the crevice, blowing a good piece of the canyon’s wall.
None of that mattered to Cain as his eyes focused on the three figures that rose from the explosions, all of them deploying a powerful aura.
Soon, the Eye of Gluttony could see beyond the dust and caught the figures of the trio.
They were two men and a woman, the first two Sky Masters, while the last used the energy pool of a Sky Lord!
The woman brandished two small daggers, one of the men wielded a sword and shield, and the last gripped two ominous dark scepters.
Their eyes, cold and full of killing intent, locked onto Cain and Rellin.
The one thing they all shared was the dark handprint on their chests.
Cain’s brow furrowed as he observed these strangers.
While their identities remained a mystery to him, their avaricious gazes hinted at nefarious intentions.
What puzzled him more was their choice of battleground.
The Grotto of Sorrows was certainly vast and devoid of life, but it was also next to the Saint Trinity Realm, so the fact there were thieves in it showed just how weak the security of the Trinity Kingdom was and how little respect these people had for it.
Unlike Cain, Rellin was able to recognize this group, and a flash of dread soon appeared in his eyes as he spoke in a solemn voice.
“The Dark Brotherhood.” Although the power of the trio made him fearful, Rellin’s eyes soon regained their focus, and he attempted to raise his aura as much as possible before shouting in a deep and powerful voice, “I am Rellin Arshop, Duke of the Trinity Kingdom, answering a summoning from the Saint Trinity Realm.” Rellin hoped that the trio would show some apprehension upon learning that he was traveling to the Saint Trinity Realm, but instead of showing fear, the Dark Brotherhood members’ killing intent only increased.
“Words are futile now.
I will handle the man and warrior.
You focus on the spellcaster.” Cain’s voice was icy, his body and weapon enveloped in lightning and fire.

Rellin was not naive and understood that it would be impossible to leave this place without taking down the other side.
As for trying to run, only a fool would show their back to people known for their ambush and assassination skills.
The trio from the Dark Brotherhood began to raise their aura, a powerful energy covering the warrior while a frost energy surrounded the mage.
As for the Sky Lord, her figure became blurry, making it harder and harder to perceive her.
Cain did not waste time, and as soon as his energy reached its zenith, he flashed toward the enemies.
His first target was the woman, as she was the one that gave him the most dangerous feeling.
The woman immediately tried to put some distance between herself and the young man, her figure vanishing.
Yet, to her surprise, that stranger’s third eye was able to keep a lock on her.
Luckily, before the young man bathed in fire and lightning could reach her, the man with a sword and shield flashed forward.
An annoyed expression appeared on Cain’s face as he saw the warrior flash toward him, forcing him to redirect his attack.
He dodged the sword that was aimed at his neck with a single move before striking with his own weapon.
The warrior was able to raise his shield just in time, but the moment the fire sword made contact, a massive explosion took place, sending him flying away while puking mouthfuls of blood.
Cain was not too happy about sending the warrior flying away, as the intervention made him lose sight of the woman.
A deep frown appeared on his face, as losing sight of an opponent was something new for him.
Cain had fought thousands of battles with all sorts of enemies, but he could always keep track of them thanks to his Ego Wave and the scanning abilities of the [A.I.
Chip Module].
However, he no longer had those cheat-like abilities.
