The Extra Seeks Chaos - Chapter 136
Chapter 136: Start Of The Ceremony
With a sigh, Arin opened his eyes as he stopped controlling his Blood Energy inside his body. Once again, his control over his Blood Energy had increased.
He raised his head as he stared outside and noticed that the day had gotten significantly darker.
He could already hear the chatter of students outside, further confirming that the ceremony was about to begin.
“Time to dress…..”
He got up from the bed and walked towards the window, staring outside.
“Nice…” Arin muttered as he stared at all the lights in the Academy.
Different colors of lights were tied to almost all the buildings, adding an ethereal, almost dreamy feeling to the Academy. And the glow coming from the full moon above further enhanced the beauty.
Most of the students were walking in one direction, dressed in their formal clothes.
Since the ceremony would take place in the same building where the entrance ceremony took place, all the students were walking in that direction.
Arin quickly turned back and walked towards the bed where his clothes were present.
Without wasting time, he began dressing.
“Hmm, these buttons seem to be made out of wood,” Arin noticed as he wore the white button-up shirt.
‘This world isn’t as advanced as Earth, so it isn’t quite surprising….’
Though, because of magic, there were some amazing things in this world that Earth didn’t have.
“Mum really spent quite a high amount of coins to get this shirt and even the suit….”
Normally, suits and shirts in this world could be considered somewhat expensive, unlike tunics.
Within minutes, Arin had finally finished dressing. He stared at himself through the mirror as he arranged his hair.
“Well, I’m not ugly, that’s for sure,” he muttered, “and I’m not also that handsome… Just average.”
Though he knew that he certainly looked better than before, and that was because he was a vampire.
“And in your vampire form, you’re certainly handsome,” Seraphine said with a chuckle.
Arin just shrugged as he walked towards the door and left the room.
Within seconds, he had already exited the dorm building and joined the crowd of students who were walking towards the building.
“The lights are really awesome up close…..” Arin muttered.
“I know, right?”
A voice beside him suddenly said.
Arin turned his head sharply, slightly surprised that the person beside him had heard him.
When Arin looked, he recognized the boy. It was Hector from his class.
“Yes,” Arin replied as he faced forward again.
“Do you have anyone to dance with?” Hector asked.
“No,” Arin replied, “I haven’t asked anyone.”

“I see…..” Hector said.
Suddenly, he stretched his hand towards Arin. “Then take this…..”
Arin looked at his hand and noticed that he was holding two flowers, and he was giving him one.
Hector continued. “Once you see the girl you really want to dance with, meet her and give her this flower, then you ask her if she can dance with you.”
Hector winked, waiting for Arin to take the flower.
Arin furrowed his brows as he collected the flower. ‘Well, I guess I should say something….’
“Why are you helping me?” Arin asked as he stared at the flower he had collected.
It looked very similar to a rose.
“I’m just helping a classmate,” Hector said, “that’s all.”
Arin nodded his head. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome,” Hector said as he quickened his pace. “I also don’t have anyone to dance with, but once I see her, I’ll give her this flower.”
Arin nodded his head as he watched Hector enter the building.
‘That was quite unexpected.’
“At least he gave you some tips,” Seraphine said.
Arin also entered the building along with the crowd of students.
‘Woah…’
As soon as Arin entered the hall, he was instantly mesmerized by the designs and lights.
Beautiful chandelier lights were hanging from the ceiling, illuminating the hall, and a huge crowd of students filled the hall, though there was still more than enough space because the hall was big.
Arin’s eyes darted from left to right, noticing the teachers in the hall. A group of people was at one corner, with instruments in front of them.
It was obvious that those were the people in charge of the music, though they were yet to play anything, so it was just the voices of the students that filled the hall.
Arin walked forward slowly, still observing everywhere. He had already noticed the second-year students, and just like he had told Seraphine, they were all on their own, not bothering to talk to the first-year students.
The first-year students also stayed at another side, too scared to approach the second-year students. Only a few first-year and second-year students were talking to each other. Most of them either knew each other before or put their pride and fear aside.
Arin continued glancing around as he adjusted his black suit. He was looking for a certain someone, but suddenly, the people began playing music, making the chatter of the students pause.
Most of them focused on the music while some continued discussing.
A few seconds later, Orion suddenly stood on the elevated platform at the end of the room, and the music stopped.
“Attention!” he exclaimed, instantly gaining the attention of all the students.
There was complete silence in the hall before he continued.
“All the students are finally here, and it’s time for the ceremony to properly start.”
“So, with that, I welcome everybody to the annual ceremony of Greenfield Academy!”
Instantly, the students and teachers began clapping for seconds before they finally stopped.
“I believe you all know what the ceremony is about,” Orion continued, “so make sure to socialize. First-year students, talk to second-year students, and also, approach each other, make friends, and have fun!”
“Use this opportunity to take a break from normal Academy activities and training!”
Once again, they all began clapping.
Orion glanced at the people in charge of playing the instruments. “Continue, and let us all enjoy this ceremony!”
“Yes!” everyone screamed in unison as the music continued.
With that, Arin went to a corner and rested his back on the wall. “It seems even the original Arin isn’t a fan of crowded places….. just like me on Earth.”
“You always mention this place called Earth and even something about a novel,” Seraphine said. “You still haven’t explained what it is to me.”
As usual, Arin ignored her, avoiding the question.
He continued using his eyes to search for someone, and just as he stared to the right, he finally saw who he was looking for.
‘Woah…’
