The Extra Seeks Chaos - Chapter 194
Chapter 194: I love you
From the outside, the arena city resembled a fortress—unyielding, imposing, and impossible to ignore. And the sheer scale of the inside made the four of them speechless.
At the center of this city lay the battleground, a sprawling circular platform where the fights would take place. It stretched wider than any training ground Arin had seen.
If one even looked closely, they would notice a transparent barrier surrounding the battleground. The barrier would protect the students from stray attacks.
The seats rose steeply from the ground of the city, allowing every spectator—whether commoner or noble—to catch every strike, spell, and clash of weapons. Near the center of the amphitheater, a box-shaped structure made with glass was present. It glimmered with gold and silver and was designed with crimson banners that had the Kingdom’s crest on it. Nobles lounged there, seemingly wanting to showcase their status and stay away from the commoners, in other words, students, while guards stood vigilant at every corner.
“~OOOHHHHHOOOHHHHH~!”
Almost all the students were singing a certain song in unison, bringing a certain vibe to the arena.
‘It’s just like how fans sing in a football stadium, hell, it’s almost as if I’m in a football stadium with a match about to start,’ Arin thought. ‘The only difference is that this place is as big as a city, and rather than a football match, it’s a fight.’
“Let’s go,” a voice suddenly snapped the four of them out of their surprise.
It was the royal guard who brought them here.
Without wasting time, they followed him as they walked towards a building that was not too far from where the carriages were parked.
“Enter inside and wait,” the guard said. “You’ll be given instructions.”
They all nodded their heads as they walked inside the building. They were instantly greeted with a dark hallway, but they continued walking towards the light they could see in front of them. They could also see that the light was actually coming from a door.
Immediately they reached the light, they were greeted with a wide room. About fifty individuals, including them, were present in the room.
As soon as they walked in, all eyes were instantly on them.
As soon as a boy saw the insignia on their uniform, he suddenly chuckled, breaking the already existing silence. “Who would’ve thought that students of one of the most prestigious Mage Academies in the Kingdom would be the last participants to arrive.”
Arin and the other three didn’t reply. Instead, they just located a seat in the room and they all sat down.
The boy just shook his head and decided not to say anything else.
Ignoring him was the best option, after all, Orion had specifically stated that they shouldn’t cause trouble or get into any fight before and after the tournament.
‘Replying to him will also be stupid,’ Arin thought. ‘He has already proved that he’s a troublemaker.’
Apart from the boy, no one else said anything, not because they were afraid, but because they were too occupied with thoughts of the tournament.
Yes, all of them in this room were the ones participating in the tournament.
Some of them had big builds, and they were more likely to be warriors.
But apart from that, there was a certain vibe in the room… A certain feeling that made it obvious that every single person in this room was powerful.
“I guess Principal Orion was right,” Ron muttered to the others as they nodded their heads in agreement.
“Let’s all do our best,” Alex said. “We have to win, no matter what.”

Among the crowd of students in the arena, two students were looking around frantically, with their hands intertwined.
“It seems we’ve gotten lost, Hector,” Lina said as she breathed heavily.
“Yeah, let’s just keep looking,” Hector said.
The students of each Academy were given a certain spot among the uncountable chairs where they would occupy, but because of Lina’s curiosity to see the other parts of the arena, she eventually got lost along with Hector who followed her.

Lina was currently holding a stick of roasted meat which Hector bought for her from one of the sellers in the arena.
She kept munching on it while complaining about how they were lost. Hector was about to ask her how she was still able to eat even while they were trying to look for the area where they came from, but he decided against it. He didn’t want her to get angry at him.
As they were walking in-between the uncountable chairs filled with students, a boy rushed towards them with a wide smile.
“Haha! Good citizens of this Kingdom, welcome!” He exclaimed.
Hector furrowed his brows, wondering what the boy wanted.
“You are lucky to meet me, because I’m the only one in this world who gives out these free Magic bangles!” He exclaimed again, raising the blue-colored bangles for them to see.
“With this bangle, you can think of the person who you want to win in this tournament, and the person will win!”
Lina’s eyes gleamed. “Ouhhh, give me one, no, two.”
The boy laughed. “Ha, you’ll have to give me 10 bronze coins!”
Lina’s eyes darted before she eventually looked at Hector who had a deep frown on his face.
Hector didn’t even need to ask her to know what she was already trying to say.
“Lina, seriously?” Hector muttered in a tired voice.
Lina’s eyes widened as she leaned closer to him, placing her lips just beside his ear. “H.. Hector… Please.”
Hector’s cheeks instantly turned red. “Uh, fine.”
He reluctantly brought out 10 bronze coins from his pocket and gave it to the boy.
The boy laughed again as he handed the two bangles to Lina.
“Be ready to behold the power of the wonderful magic bangle!”
Lina smiled excitedly as she began convincing Hector to wear the second bangle while the boy left with a smile, already searching for the next person to scam.
“You do know you just got scammed, right?” Hector said as he finally agreed to wear the bangle.
Lina smiled. “Now we’re wearing the same bangle…”
Hector suddenly realized that Lina wanted him to buy the bangle, not because of the non-existent effect, but because she just wanted them to wear the same bangle.
Hector instantly turned to look at her, but before he could even say anything, she had already placed a kiss on his cheek.
“I love you…”
