The Extra Seeks Chaos - Chapter 211
Chapter 211: Massive and Majestic
Alex’s eyes widened as he stared at the drawer he just opened. The inside of the drawer was the same, except that a particular something was missing.
“Where the hell is Sandy…”
His precious Raven that he was feeding with his Mana daily was no longer in the drawer.
Alex couldn’t believe it, so desperately, he began checking around the room.
“No… It’s still in the room, right?… It should still be here.”
He kept gaslighting himself as he checked the entire room, but as minutes went by, he was slowly realizing it.
The egg was, indeed, missing.
His breathing suddenly became ragged as he remembered what happened last night.
“Before I pursued that Vampire, I’m sure that the egg was still here,” Alex muttered. “But…”
He squinted his eyes as he remembered something.
“But did I lock the door?”
“If I didn’t lock the door, then that means…”
The heavy truth dawned on him.
“It was stolen.”
***********
Outside the dorm building, everyone was already gathered, and the lady who woke them up told them to wait for the announcer.
They had all freshened up, so none of them were looking tired.
Arin’s eyes darted to Alex who had a frown on his face.
‘As expected… He won’t ask anyone about it,’ Arin thought.
Alex wouldn’t be able to ask anyone about the egg because he got it from a Raven nest while returning back from the castle where he went to see the King.
Him having a Raven egg meant that he stole it from the mother.
Yes, it may not look that bad, but in this world, there were rules related to Beasts.
And one of those rules was that the eggs of Beasts, especially bird type Beasts shouldn’t be stolen from their mothers.
In fact, the rule still covered the offspring of other Beasts. It made sense, after all, the little Beasts wouldn’t even be able to fight or defend themselves, so the rule was put in place that they shouldn’t be harmed or stolen from their mothers.
This rule was especially made because of Ravens.
It was discovered that female Ravens do not attack humans, so the rule was implemented.
Since then, if anyone came across a female Raven in a forest, they usually left it and its eggs alone.
But Alex…
‘That’s why he won’t be able to ask anyone about the egg…’ Arin thought.
“Good morning, everyone. Sorry to keep you all waiting,” the announcer said as soon as he arrived.

“Follow me,” he added as he began walking towards the direction where the main arena was.
The students followed him, and within minutes, they arrived at the battlefield.
They climbed the small stairs and arrived on the platform.
“The King will meet you all here,” the announcer said.
And just seconds after he said that, two guards were spotted. One of them was walking behind the King, and the second one was walking in front of the King.
The King reached the platform, and without wasting time, the students and the announcer lowered their head and said in unison, “Greetings, my King.”
Rowan raised a hand, gesturing for them to raise their heads.
They obeyed as they watched the King move to the front, now standing in front of them.
“Great students of this Kingdom,” Rowan began, his gaze fixated on the 56 students. “You all did well, and have shown that you are worthy to be called Mages and Warriors of this Kingdom.”
Some of the students smiled in response to his words. At least, their loss wasn’t that painful anymore if the King had recognized them.
“While only one Academy won, that doesn’t mean that you are weak,” Rowan said. “It simply means that you can push yourself harder, and achieve greatness.”
Rowan’s words were filled with confidence and trust, making it clear to the students that he really believed in them.
Most of them were instantly determined, and swore to train harder.
The King continued talking for almost an hour, before he finally concluded.
“So, the participants of Greenfield Academy should wait behind, while the participants of other Academies can leave now.”
His gaze hardened. “But make sure to remember my words. You all are the rising stars of this Kingdom.”
“Thank you, my King!” They all exclaimed as they began leaving the platform.
A teacher from each of their Academies was already waiting with a carriage at the entrance of the Arena city, so they all began walking towards their respective carriages.
Now, it was remaining Arin, Tessa, Ron, and Alex.
“Alex,” the King began. “You are powerful…”
Alex didn’t know why but he could already sense where this was going.
“But the other three were the ones who won for the Academy. Because of that, they will be the ones to get the final reward.”
Alex’s eyes burned with rage as he lowered his head. He was struggling to contain his anger.
‘This bastard…’ Alex thought. ‘I don’t know why he’s doing this, but he seems to be forgetting something very important…’
Alex’s lips curled up as his anger quickly diminished. ‘I see… Then I’ll just take matters into my own hands. From now on, I will do what I’ve always wanted to do… No more pretense.’
He raised his head with a smile on his face.
“I understand, my King,” Alex said.
Rowan nodded his head, his eyes fixated on Alex.
“Good. I’ve prepared a royal carriage to take you back to the Academy.”
Alex nodded as he spotted the carriage. After smiling at Arin and the others, he left the platform and walked towards the carriage.
Arin watched as the carriage began levitating towards the gate, heading to Greenfield Academy.
‘Two more changes, huh?’ he thought
In the novel, Alex participated in the tournament and received the reward along with the others who won for the Academy, but now, he didn’t even participate in the tournament, and didn’t receive any reward.
As for the second change…
‘The carriage that’s supposed to take us to the castle is supposed to be outside the Arena City,’ Arin thought. ‘But I can clearly see it here.’
He looked at the right, and he could see the carriage that was far more luxurious than any other carriage he had ever seen.
“Okay, without wasting much time, you all will be coming to the castle to receive the rewards,” Rowan said.
He pointed at the carriage Arin was looking at a few seconds ago. “That carriage will take the three of you there.”
They all lowered their head as the King came down from the platform and walked towards another carriage that was even far more luxurious than the one Arin was looking at.
The King entered the carriage, and after a few seconds, it began levitating, moving towards the gate.
Quickly, Tessa, Arin and Ron entered the carriage that was reserved for them.
“Hmm, I feel bad for Alex,” Ron said as the carriage began levitating. “It’s not like he was the one who decided that he wouldn’t participate in the tournament.”
Tessa just glared at him and shook her head. It was obvious that she was stopping herself from saying something… Probably an insult, after all, to her, Alex was the worst person in existence.
Arin saw this and just smiled. He folded his arms and focused on the journey.
The silence in the carriage was peaceful to both Arin and Tessa, but for Ron, it was sickening.
Unable to take it anymore, he finally spoke.
“What do you think the castle will look like?” He asked. “And I’m not just talking about the appearance… I’m also talking about how it will feel.”
“Hmm, I don’t know,” Tessa said.
Arin shrugged. “The building will definitely be majestic. As for the feeling, I guess we’ll find the answer to that when we get there.”
For some reason, Arin’s response increased Ron’s excitement and he grinned. “I can’t wait…”
Tessa stared at Arin, observing his face and his calm expression.
Suddenly, a grin formed on her face.
*********
“I…. I…. Woah!”
Ron couldn’t stop himself from exclaiming immediately he set his eyes on the castle.
Yes, he already knew that it was definitely going to be massive and majestic, but still, seeing it with his own two eyes was another thing.
“It’s big…. That’s for sure,” Tessa muttered, her eyes fixated on the castle.
Arin’s gaze was also fixated on the castle as the carriage approached it.
Finally, they reached the gate, and exited the carriage.
The guards standing in front of the gate opened it, and allowed them to enter.
Immediately they entered, the large door opened, revealing a maid who walked towards them.
“Greetings, great students. Please, come with me,” she said.
The trio followed her into the castle, and as expected, the inside was luxurious.
They immediately reached the stairs and began climbing while admiring the luxurious lights in the castle.
Finally, they arrived in a hallway, and a door was at the end of the hallway.
After a few seconds, they reached the door, and the maid knocked.
“The students are here, my King.”
“Come in,” Rowan’s voice was heard.
As the maid was opening the door, they instinctively gulped, unsure of what they would meet.
Finally, the door opened, and as soon as they stepped inside, a certain pressure suddenly overwhelmed them.
‘W… What the hell…!?’
