The Extra Seeks Chaos - Chapter 226
Chapter 226: Aura Farming?
Arin closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, taking in the scent that the wind carried.
It was a certain kind of damp scent that all of them in the carriage could also scent.
Riya folded her arms as she stared at the trees.
“The rainy season is almost here…” she muttered.
“True. The rain’s gonna be falling for quite some time from now on,” Tessa said.
In this world, there were two seasons.
The sunny season, and the rainy season.
In the sunny season, the sun would shine a lot, though occasionally, it would rain a bit, but not anything serious.
As for the rainy season, rain would fall the majority of the time, and sometimes, it would take a long time for the sun to shine, and even then, it wouldn’t shine for long.
If the rain even stopped, the clouds would still be dark, blocking the sun.
‘Hmm, because of this, the Vampires would be able to attack in broad daylight,’ Arin thought.
“And it might be like that for a long time if this so-called rainy season usually lasts for long,” Seraphine said.
Arin, Seraphine, and even the others in the Vampire Realm were still unaware that Vaelric and the Vampires that were with him could now utilize Mana and even cover their Blood Energy with it.
So even though it wasn’t the rainy season, they would still be able to attack in broad daylight.
The only difference would be that they would be weakened when fighting in broad daylight because they would fight with only their Mana and a bit of Blood Energy.
If they try bringing all their Blood Energy out, the sun would affect them.
But now, since the rainy season was already here, they would fully be able to fight in their Vampire form in broad daylight, after all, it would be raining most of the time.
The carriage continued moving for a while, and occasionally, when they had to change direction to the path at the right or left, Ethan would come down to control the carriage to change its direction.
They continued moving until finally, in the distance, they could see a wooden wall.
“Normally, we would have to pass some villages to get to the destination, but thankfully, I knew another route there, so we were able to avoid those villages and reach here directly,” Riya said.
Leon grinned.
“As expected. A beautiful lady like you would certainly be intelligent!”
Ethan looked at Leon weirdly, but Leon didn’t even care.
How did he know that the lady was beautiful when he couldn’t even see her face?
Riya’s black cloak covered her figure, and her brown hair was tied in a bun.
Together with the mask that covered her face, she was pretty much unrecognizable to them, except for Ethan and Arin who already knew that she was the one.
Arin chuckled.
‘I wonder what his expression would be when he finds out that the lady he was flirting with is Riya… His teacher.’
“Thank you,” Riya said to Leon.
Leon’s eyes shone in ecstasy just from a simple “thank you”.

The carriage stopped and they all came down from it.
“I’ll be right back,” Ethan said as he directed the carriage into the forest to park it.
As soon as he returned, the five of them began walking towards the direction of the wooden wall.
Arin had already briefed them on what he intended to do, so none of them asked any questions on the way.
As they walked, Leon kept showering Riya with compliments, while receiving weird stares from Ethan.
Tessa and Arin could only shake their heads.
Finally, they got closer to the wooden wall, but that was when they noticed the gap on it.
It was as if someone punched a huge hole in the wall.
But then…
Arin squinted his eyes, and from the look on the faces of the others, it was obvious that they could also sense it.
“Vampires…” Leon muttered.
Arin furrowed his brows.
“How the hell did the Vampires get here?…”
He decided to think of that later.
For now, they all had to see what was going on.
“I don’t hear any sound of battle yet,” Tessa said.
“You’re right. Maybe they just arrived,” Ethan said as he gripped his large hammer he had been carrying.
Riya nodded. “There’s only one way to find out.”
They all looked at Arin who began walking towards the gap in the wall.
“Let’s go…”
With that, the five of them passed the gap and entered the village.
Tessa had already brought out her new sword that she received as a reward for winning the tournament.
Leon also gripped his axe.
Arin quickly summoned his own sword that he received as a reward.
As for Riya, she wasn’t with any weapon.
From this distance, Arin could already see the twelve Vampires who were walking towards thirteen individuals.
The thirteen individuals were all holding weapons, and they were clearly tensed as they watched the Vampires approach.
Suddenly, another individual joined them, and their expressions became less fearful.
Though, they were still shaking.
By this time, Arin and his team had already gotten closer to the twelve Vampires.
His eyes were fixated on them as he walked forward, showing no sign of stopping or reducing his speed.
As expected, he didn’t even have to do anything. The Vampires naturally sensed a group of people approaching and instantly turned.
Meanwhile, the fourteen individuals who were holding weapons and still formulating a plan also saw Arin and the other four.
“Who are they…?” one of them muttered.
The moon was shining brightly, so even though it was still nighttime, everywhere was still quite bright, making it possible for the fourteen of them to see clearly.
And because of this….
“Wait… Isn’t that….”
The Vampires were now focused on Arin who was approaching.
Since he didn’t release his Blood Energy, they didn’t know he was also a Vampire.
‘The look on their faces… I don’t need to ask what they came here to do,’ Arin thought.
And because of this, he wasn’t planning on holding back.
One of the twelve Vampires grinned as he stared at Arin.
“Hey you! Filthy human, stop there!” the Vampire said.
The other Vampires just watched in amusement, waiting to see how this human would be put in his place.
The village was eerily silent with only the sound of Arin’s footsteps and the howling wind.
The Vampire furrowed his brows as Arin continued walking forward.
“Human! I said stop!”
Rage was beginning to fill the Vampire’s eyes, because he could already see that his fellow Vampires wanted to see how he would subdue this human, and yet, the human kept walking forward.
The human’s appearance was quite menacing because of the mask and cloak, but at the end, he was just a human.
And this Vampire who was getting filled with rage decided to show this human how to be respectful.
Arin was still quite a distance away from the Vampire, but the Vampire believed in his speed.
He would certainly be able to grab this human before he would even be able to dodge.
Though, before the Vampire decided to dash towards Arin, he made a slight mistake.
He blinked.
Just a blink.
And Arin was no longer present.
“Huh?”
Before he could even think, he suddenly felt a cold hand on his neck.
And then…
PUFF!
His head was uprooted from his neck, followed by a spray of blood.
The Vampire’s body fell on the ground with a thud, revealing Arin who was standing behind him, holding the Vampire’s uprooted head.
His expression was calm… just too calm.
He glanced at the other Vampires behind him from above his shoulder.
And they heard just four words.
Four words that for some reason, sent a chill down their spines.
“One down… Eleven left…”
