The Extra Seeks Chaos - Chapter 232
Chapter 232: Zamir
“Please… Kill me…”
“Huh?”
Tessa and Arin instantly looked at the Vampire who had tears streaming down from his eyes.
“I…I said sob kill me…”
The tears increased.
The Vampire was suddenly crying like a little child who had his candy stolen.
Tessa was clearly confused, and Arin was also quite shocked.
He walked closer to the Vampire.
“What is the issue?”
The Vampire slowly raised his head, a look of pain in his eyes.
“If you let me go, I won’t be able to face my Master anymore because not only did I fail my mission, but I also revealed information, and I… I also don’t want to stay here… I don’t want to feel that pain anymore.”
As the Vampire spoke, more tears began coming out from his eyes, but it was the look in his eyes that was more noticeable.
Pain…
“Kill… Me…”
Arin glanced at Tessa and noticed that she was staring at the ground.
Her fists were clenched, and she was trembling slightly.
It seemed like the Vampire’s current condition and the pain in his eyes was making her feel uncomfortable.
“Tessa… I’m sorry you had to see th-”
“No, no, Chaos,” Tessa said, quickly raising her head. “I was the one who decided to stay here. You don’t have to apologize for anything.”
Arin nodded.
He looked at the Vampire who was still crying.
He really wanted Arin to kill him.
Arin closed his eyes for a second, before his sword appeared on his hand.
Immediately the Vampire saw the sword, he smiled.
“Thank you…”
Arin stared at him for a few seconds before saying the same thing.
“Thank you.”
And then…
SLASH!
The Vampire’s head was cut off.

Arin and Tessa both stood in silence for a few seconds, and then, Arin began untying the Vampire.
Immediately after that, he placed the body on a spot where a lot of leaves fell.
“The look in that Vampire’s eyes…” Tessa said as she stood behind Arin.
“I don’t know, it just… It just felt genuine.”
“I understand, Tessa.”
Arin perfectly understood what Tessa was saying, after all, he also saw it.
The both of them began walking out of the forest.
They had gotten a lot of information from the red haired Vampire, and one of them was that the Vampires were shared into groups.
“This means that apart from the five cities that have already been attacked, Vampires are still in other locations.
“What makes it even more scary is the fact that they will be able to walk together with humans without anyone detecting them because they can now use Mana,” Tessa said.
Arin furrowed his brows.
This was also the most shocking information for him.
Who would have thought that the Vampires will ever be able to use Mana?
Though, it was just the 500 of them that came to the human realm that were able to use Mana, but that was still a lot.
“And he mentioned that it was an old man who imbued Mana into them and even taught them how to use it,” Arin said.
“I believe he was forced to do it,” Tessa said.
She continued,
“But if he was aware that the Vampires he was teaching how to use Mana wanted to come to the human realm to start another war, shouldn’t he have tried to slow them down? Not by fighting but by intentionally making the process of imbuing Mana into them slow. I don’t know if that makes sense, but you understand what I’m trying to say, right?”
“I understand,” Arin said. “Who knows? Maybe he actually made the process slow, and eventually, they still arrived in the human realm now.”
“Hmm, that’s true.”
Finally, they entered the village.
As they walked towards Fang who they could see standing near one of the buildings in the village, they continued talking.
“We’ll have to inform the others about this,” Tessa said as she folded her arms.
“I know,” Arin said. “But that will be when the day is finally bright. Everyone should have a good night sleep for now.”
Arin, and Leon didn’t quite need to sleep, but Tessa, Riya, and Ethan were still humans, so they would need to sleep.
Finally, they reached where Fang was standing.
“You guys took quite some time,” she said as she stared at Arin and Tessa.
Arin didn’t want her to start getting suspicious again, so he quickly spoke.
“Yeah, we left one of the Vampires unconscious because we wanted to question him,” Arin said, making Fang raise a brow.
“We just finished questioning him before killing him,” Tessa added.
“What did he say?” Fang asked, curious.
“If possible, can we discuss it when the day is bright? I’ll like to say everything when everyone is finally awake and together,” Arin said.
Fang nodded.
“Makes sense. Okay.”
She then turned back.
“Follow me, I’ll show the both of you your rooms.”
A few minutes later, Arin was inside a room.
It wasn’t too big, but it wasn’t cramped either.
It was just comfortable enough.
All the buildings in the village were made of wood, including the building he was now.
There was a bed, a chair, and a table in the room.
The window was also open, making the chilly breeze enter the room.
The building was a one storey building and had six rooms in total. Two bathrooms were on the top floor, one for male and the other for female.
Five of the six rooms were already occupied by Arin and the others.
Arin was currently seated on the bed as he stared at the window where Roxanne was standing.
“New view…” She said with a small smile.
Arin smiled and shook his head.
“You can stare all you want.”
With a sigh, he lied down on the bed.
‘The plan was successful… We now have the level of freedom we want…’ he thought.
‘But there’s a very high chance that the King will be after me and Tessa as soon as he finds out that we’re missing.’
Arin got up from the bed.
He was restless and currently didn’t feel like staying in the room.
Because of that…
“Hey, I’m going outside. You can stay here with Seraphine,” Arin said as he quickly summoned Seraphine.
“Ah, fresh air once again,” Seraphine said as soon as he appeared.
“Alright, I understand,” Roxanne said.
Arin nodded and smiled before jumping out from the window.
He landed on the ground with a small thud.
Instantly, his eyes moved towards the highest building in the village.
The storage room.
It was a two storey building also made of wood, but unlike the other buildings, the roof was flat.
“Perfect…”
Swiftly, Arin dashed towards the building.
Adding force to his legs, he leaped up, and landed on the wall of the building, very close to the rooftop.
Thankfully, his claws made him able to hold on to the wall, and he quickly arrived on the rooftop.
He was now standing on the flat wooden roof.
“Ah, I can see all the buildings in the village from here,” Arin muttered.
Suddenly, he saw someone approaching.
“Riya…”
She got to the building, and looked at Arin from below.
“Catch it.”
Before Arin could even say anything, a Water Whip instantly left her hand and flew upwards.
Arin quickly catched it.
Of course, it was already obvious what Riya was planning to do.
Arin gripped the Water Whip and began pulling it.
Riya who held the other end of the whip was now getting pulled upwards by Arin, and finally, she arrived at the rooftop.
Arin frowned, though, it wasn’t visible because of his mask.
“You’re quite heavy, you know. Just how much do you weigh?”
Riya furrowed her brows.
“Don’t ask a lady about her weight…”
“Yeah, yeah,” Arin rolled his eyes.
Unlike Arin, Riya was no longer wearing her mask and cloak.
Riya glanced at Arin and grinned.
“I can actually get to this rooftop by myself… I just wanted you to drag me.”
Arin walked towards the edge of the rooftop and sat down.
“And you’re proud to say that….”
Riya smiled as she walked forward and also sat down.
There was silence for some seconds before Riya spoke again.
“I know you’re a Vampire, you know that, right?”
Arin smiled beneath his mask.
“I guess it was easy for you to know.”
Riya shrugged.
“It was really easy, actually. I mean, the day you fought Alex in the Academy, everyone tagged it as ‘The Vampire Attack’. That says everything, you know.”
Riya added. “And apart from that, I always knew that there was something you weren’t telling me.”
“I hope you aren’t angry that I didn’t tell you by myself…”
“I am, actually,” Riya said.
She suddenly stood up, and walked behind Arin.
“But there’s a way for you to apologize.”
Arin raised an eyebrow.
“And what is that?”
“Your long hair… I want to see it.”
He sighed softly. There wasn’t really a reason to refuse—but even so, he hesitated.
Still, under Riya’s steady gaze, he nodded and allowed the shift to happen.
His body tensed as his Blood Energy stirred. Thankfully, anytime he changed to his Vampire form, only a little leaked out. His claws extended slightly, and his hair slowly turned stark white, flowing down to his lower back.
Riya’s eyes sparkled. She stepped closer, running her fingers through the strands.
“Wow… it’s soft,” she murmured, brushing the hair gently aside.
“But it might hinder you in battle, so…” She trailed off, lifting her hand with a teasing smirk. “I’ll cut it.”
“Huh?” Arin blinked, instinctively turning back—but she placed a hand firmly on his shoulder, making him to sit still.
“Didn’t you hear me? It’s for your own good.”
Arin frowned slightly. The sensation of someone touching his hair like this… it was strange. Familiar in a way he hadn’t felt in this world.
‘It’s not that important anyway,’ he thought, eyes flicking toward the moon.
“Alright. Go ahead.”
Just as Riya raised her hand again, he added quickly, “Wait… Don’t cut everything. Okay?”
“Alright, alright,” she chuckled. “I understand.”
A small blade formed from Water appeared in her hand. With practiced ease, she began trimming the ends.
For a while, only the faint whisper of hair brushing against the rooftop broke the silence.
Then Riya spoke, almost absentmindedly.
“You know… I heard some villagers say that the Vampire attack was just a prank.”
Arin smiled faintly.
“Everything might just be a prank,” he said, his voice distant.
He wasn’t really talking about the village, or even the attack. Sometimes, he still wondered if this—his reincarnation—was all just an elaborate joke. A dream he hadn’t woken from.
But deep down, he knew it wasn’t.
This world was real.
The blood.
The battles.
The people.
Everything.
Still, Riya misunderstood his comment. Her brow furrowed as she suddenly slapped his back.
“Huh? So you think everything is a prank?”
Arin blinked and turned to her. “No, that’s not what I mea—”
“So if I told you that I’m in love with you, you’d think that’s a prank too?”
Her voice cut through the air like the water blade in her hand. Arin froze, the words catching him off guard.
His heart thudded once.
“H… Huh? What do you mean…?”
Before she could answer, a soft noise was suddenly heard.
Their eyes snapped downward in unison.
Riya’s expression darkened.
“What the hell…?”
