Chapter 608: Elven Desire (1) [R18]

The familiar weight of Arthur’s hand in mine sent a wave of contentment through my carefully controlled composure. One month. One month since I’d felt this simple contact, and my body remembered every detail—the calluses from sword practice, the warmth that seemed to radiate from his skin, the way his fingers automatically adjusted to provide the perfect grip.

‘Finally,’ I thought, allowing myself a small internal smile while maintaining my serene exterior.

We walked through the academy’s corridors in comfortable silence, a rhythm we’d perfected over the years of our relationship. Arthur understood that I didn’t fill empty air with meaningless chatter, and I appreciated that he never pressured me to perform the bubbly princess act that seemed to come so naturally to Rachel.

‘Rachel, Cecilia, and Rose had all maintained their regular calls with him,’ I reflected without bitterness. They were more naturally inclined toward frequent communication, and that was fine. I had made my choice—isolation training at Mount Hua, knowing it would mean minimal contact but maximum growth.

While they’d been chatting with Arthur about daily life and keeping him updated on their activities, I’d been pushing myself beyond every previous limit. Father and Uncle had initially been concerned about my intensive schedule, but when I’d explained my reasoning, they’d simply nodded in understanding.

I mused about my training as we climbed the stairs toward the dormitory wing. The isolation had been my choice, deliberately undertaken because I’d known Arthur was focused on something crucial at the Ebony Tower. While the others maintained their emotional connections through constant communication, I’d chosen to forge myself into something stronger—a gift I could present upon his return.

Eighteen hours a day of forms, meditation, and combat practice. Not because I was desperately trying to distract myself from missing him, but because I’d recognized an opportunity. Arthur was growing stronger, and I’d be damned if I’d fall behind.

The results spoke for themselves. I could feel the new power thrumming beneath my skin, my Integration-rank abilities crystallized into something approaching true mastery. I was stronger now than I’d ever been, pressed against the Wall that separated Integration from Ascendant-rank with the confidence of someone who had earned their position.

‘All for us,’ I acknowledged as Arthur’s room came into view. The same door I’d visualized during meditation sessions, thinking about this moment when I’d finally get to show him what I’d accomplished.

He released my hand to unlock the door, and I felt the familiar flutter of anticipation that had nothing to do with desperate longing and everything to do with the natural excitement of reuniting with someone I loved after months apart.

The magnetic lock disengaged with a soft chime, and Arthur stepped aside with his characteristic gentlemanly gesture.

The familiar scent of his room enveloped me: clean linen, the subtle fragrance of whatever soap he used, and underneath it all, that indefinable something that was purely Arthur. I’d missed this specific combination of scents, the way they immediately made me feel at home.

The door closed behind us with a soft click, and I felt my carefully maintained public composure begin to shift into something more private, more genuine. This was our space, our time, where I could set aside the ice princess facade that the rest of the world required.

“Sera,” he said softly, and I heard the warmth in his voice that was reserved for these private moments.

I moved toward him with deliberate grace, my hands coming up to rest against his chest as I looked up into his eyes. “I chose the isolation training,” I said simply, knowing he would understand the significance.

Arthur’s expression shifted to one of understanding mixed with admiration. After this long together, he knew my choices were always calculated, purposeful.

I rose on my toes to press my lips to his, wrapping my arms around his neck.

The kiss was warm, familiar, carrying the comfort of a relationship that had weathered years together while retaining the spark that had drawn us to each other in the first place. Arthur’s arms tightened around me, and I felt the rightness of being here, in this moment, with him.

When we separated, I rested my forehead against his shoulder, breathing in his scent and allowing myself to simply enjoy the physical closeness I’d deliberately sacrificed for one month.

“I missed this,” I admitted quietly, the words carrying the weight of someone who had made a conscious choice to endure temporary separation for long-term gain.

I kissed Arthur again, deeper this time, my lips trembling with a month’s worth of pent-up longing. Every ounce of energy I’d channeled into crafting my icy, untouchable facade melted away, leaving only me—Seraphina, the half-elven woman who had forged herself in solitude to return to him as my truest, best self. My silver hair spilled over my shoulders, catching the dim light like a cascade of starlight, and I pressed myself closer, my slightly toned stomach brushing against the warmth of his body. I didn’t care about restraint or appearances anymore. All I wanted was to give him everything—every heartbeat, every breath, every unspoken wish I’d carried for him.

His hands found my waist, strong and steady, pulling me against him until there was no space left between us. My ice-blue eyes met his deep blue ones, and in that moment, I felt seen, utterly and completely. His gaze held a quiet confidence, softened by a tenderness that made my chest ache. My sensitive ears twitched as his breath grazed them, sending a shiver down my spine that felt like a spark igniting kindling. I leaned into him, my lips parting as our kiss deepened, a slow, burning dance of tongues and shared breaths.

My body pressed closer, the soft curves of my breasts against his chest, and I felt a familiar hardness against my thigh—Arthur, unapologetically aroused, his desire as evident as mine. A flush of heat spread through me, pooling low in my belly. We’d been here before, countless times, our bodies familiar with each other’s rhythms, yet every touch felt new, electric. I tilted my head, my silver hair sliding across my shoulder as I kissed along his jaw, savoring the faint stubble that scratched against my lips. His scent—earthy, warm, uniquely him—filled my senses, grounding me even as my pulse raced.

“Seraphina,” he murmured, his voice low and husky, vibrating against my ear. The sound sent another shiver through me, my sensitive ears amplifying every nuance of his tone. His fingers slid beneath the hem of my uniform, tracing the curve of my waist with a reverence that made my heart stutter. I arched into his touch, my skin tingling as his calloused palms grazed the smooth plane of my stomach. He was confident, always so sure in these moments, but there was a softness in the way he touched me, like I was both his anchor and his treasure.

I tugged at his shirt, my fingers fumbling in my eagerness to feel his skin against mine. He chuckled softly, a sound that warmed me from the inside out, and helped me pull the fabric over his head. His black hair fell messily across his forehead, framing those deep blue eyes that held me captive. I ran my hands over his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath my palms. My own heart answered, a frantic rhythm that spoke of need and trust and love.

He guided me backward, gentle but firm, until the backs of my thighs met the edge of the bed. I sank onto the soft linens, pulling him with me, our lips never parting. My blouse joined his shirt on the floor, and his gaze swept over me, lingering on the swell of my breasts, the silver hair fanning across the pillow. “You’re beautiful,” he said, his voice thick with emotion, and I felt a rush of warmth that had nothing to do with the heat of our bodies.

My fingers tangled in his hair as he kissed a path down my neck, his lips brushing the sensitive tips of my ears. I gasped, the sensation sharp and exquisite, like a note struck on a finely tuned string. Every touch was amplified, my half-elven senses drinking in the warmth of his mouth, the faint roughness of his hands as they cupped my breasts, teasing with a gentleness that made me ache for more. I arched beneath him, my body pleading for closeness, for the connection we’d built over countless nights like this.

He moved lower, his lips trailing fire across my stomach, pausing to kiss the faint lines of muscle I’d worked so hard to hone. I felt cherished, desired, every kiss a testament to the man who saw me—not just the ice princess, not just the half-elf, but me. My hands found his shoulders, urging him back up, and our lips crashed together again, urgent and hungry.
