- Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 They both stood beside her like bodyguards
Chapter 104: They both stood beside her like bodyguards Chapter 104: They both stood beside her like bodyguards Alice, with her head faced towards the dark and ominous sky, sighed and opened her eyes, gazing at the giant eyeball that had been silently mocking her from above.
“Shall we begin the final battle, Evil Eye?” “Kekeke,” the deep-toned mockery of this demon resounded throughout the skies and the desolate world that had become of her motherland.
“Tell me, human.
You are the last one standing.
How do you think you can defeat me, even with all your measly powers combined?
When you were plenty, you stood no chance.
And now that you are one, you stand even lesser chances.
So, how will you defeat me?
Kekekeke!” Alice slowly got up and stretched her arm out sideways to summon her hammer.
“You know, you sound so annoying.” She said and caught her hammer, causing a gush of wind to blow around her and the surface she stood on.
“You talk big for an eyeball with no mouth.
I wonder what you’d say when I finally burst that big eyeball of yours.” She smirked, her entire demeanor changing into that of a maniac.
Her eyes lit up gold flames, her hair glowed golden as well and so was the rest of her body.
The power of a saint was already manifesting in her, and not just that.
The power of one particular person seemed to be dominant and it changed her personality.
One could say she was changing because of too much loss, and another could say that she decided not to hold back anymore since there was no need to take precautions anymore.
But it was all thanks to the title ‘the unhinged king’ that she had acquired through the ritual and sacrifice for a saint.
And so, she went crazy.
“So…” She looked at her hands flowing with power and the excitement that was ringing in her blood.
“…this is what it’s like to be the unhinged king in battle.
Ah, I feel so fired up!” She laughed but even through her laughter, her bitter tears still fell, knowing the source of this incredible power and what had to be done to get it.
Mark.
Oh, Mark.
Will I ever see you again?
“Today, I stand before you, the last human on Earth,” she yelled, pointing her hammer at Evil Eye.
“…and I vow that I will defeat you.
I will make you pay for what you and your kind have reduced mankind to.
I will kill you, even if it’s the last thing I do!
My new name is Alice Reinhart, and I swear by my mother’s name, as well as many other incredible people who have died for the great cause, that I will not go down before you.
Try and stop me but you will never succeed!” Golden rings surrounded her and she slowly floated from the ground, her body shining as she embraced her new powers.

And thus, the last battle between man and demon began.
Back to present!
Alice looked at Mark, who held a straight face with his eyes closed, and then to Devon, who looked ever ready to take a step into action.
They both stood beside her like bodyguards, giving her no room to act on her own intuitions because that would only create trouble.
They said.
Gosh, what did they take her for?
She sighed.
Thankfully, the gate had still not opened so they didn’t have to be on their toes.
The agency had also arrived, measuring both gates.
“So, pretty girl, what did you want to talk about?” Fiona asked, her full set of teeth on display with her smirk.
She had white hair and tanned skin.
Her eyebrows were also white, and so were her eyelashes.
Not sure if she was just a dark-skinned albino or if she just decided to taint her hair and eyebrows that way.
In any case, her appearance fit her rough attitude so well that it was almost God-given.
“Well, it’s quite simple.” Alice said.
“You’re here for the gate, right?
I don’t care if it’s blue or red; as long as you’re here, then you can do just fine.” “And what if I’m not here for it?” She asked boldly.
“Huh?” “Let me tell you, pretty girl.
I heard the little shit who hit our guild master was here at the gate site, so I decided to come take a look and say…
” She punched her fist into her palm, grinning as she made inaudible threats.
“…hello.” Alice looked at her blankly for a while, since she got lost at the point of her saying she hit their guild master.
“Ah!” She dropped her fist into her palm in a sudden realization and asked, “Did you come here for revenge?” “You bet I did.” “You mean here?
Right now?
When there’s going to be a gate break any moment from now?” Alice made sure to ask specifically.
She needed to be sure before she took any action.
“That’s what I said.
I don’t care for a stupid gate break.
You disrespected our guild master so it’s time to make you pay.” Mark frowned and Devon observed closely.
They wanted to start a fight where a gate break was about to take place.
They would probably blame any sort of damage on the monsters that would come out of the gate, wouldn’t they?
This Fiona was smarter than she looked.
How would Alice take care of this?
“In other words, you’re here to make trouble, disturb the peace before the monsters even come out of the gates, and be of no help, right?” Fiona folded her arms, responding foolishly.
“Exactly!
So, let’s play.” In a single instant, Alice took out her hammer and swung it at her, but Fiona seemed to have seen that coming and dodged.
And though it surprised Alice that she dodged, she recovered quite quickly and used her gravity pull to pull Fiona into her reach.
Just because she got to her, she swung her hammer once again and sent Fiona into the sky.
Maybe she would end up on the same island her precious guild master woke up on.
Everything happened so fast that Devon, Mark, Fiona’s subordinates, and every other person present had no idea how it all happened.
But they did know that Alice just sent Fiona flying and was looking so nonchalant about it.
“Jeez, Kids these days.” Alice exclaimed, hanging her hammer on her shoulder and sighing like she had never acted like a mature adult.
“Did she think this was a playground?
So childish.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Just look who’s talking, haha I’m as stunned as them
