Chapter 106: If Alice could put him in his place, who were they to interrupt, right?
(So, I may spell Micheal as Michael sometimes but don’t worry.
They’re both Michaels) “Miss Alice,” Micheal called, standing next to her and she rolled her eyes to look at him, rather than turning her head.
“If I may, would it be alright to be by your side while we face this threat?” “Micheal,” Devon called and they both turned to him.
“Please, do not do anything unnecessary.” He said, looking quite serious and Alice wondered exactly why Michael was in the Snow Guild.
He was powerful enough to open a guild of his own, right?
S-class Awakeneds don’t really like being under others, especially since they were all so ‘overpowered’ main characters in their own realms, so they either form a guild of their own individually or collaborate with other S-class awakeneds, where both will become guild masters.
But it didn’t look like Micheal was a co-guild master or a vice-guild master, for that matter.
So why was he in the Snow Guild?
“And could you describe, ‘unnecessary’?” Micheal asked.
“I just want to fight side by side with the strongest human among us, how is that unnecessary?” He stepped closer to Devon and tilted his head.
“Or are you just mad that I’m taking your spot?” “It’s nothing like that.” Devon said, clenching his fists.
“Miss Alice shouldn’t feel burdened while fighting and she likes to fight freely.
So having someone by her side would just slow her down.” “Oh, is that your concern?
Then you don’t have to worry about it because I, for one, have seen Miss Alice in battle.
And trust me, I will be less of a burden than that guy over there.” He glanced at Mark.
Both guys frowned at Michael.
Just what was he trying to do?
*Alice, they’re going to fight at this rate.* Leo said, bringing her attention to them.
She wasn’t even listening to them, to begin with.
‘Leave em.
If anyone tries to pick a fight before the fight actually begins then I’ll send them flying.’ she said to him.
*I believe you should make that known to them.* Alice walked up to them and Micheal turned to her.
She reached out her hand to him and though he did not know what she was going to do, he was curious.
Was she planning to wrap her arms around him or was she going to dust his shoulder?
There was nothing on his hair so he could only wonder, anticipating as her hands got closer.
But then, she caught his left ear and dragged his head down.
“Listen up, Mysterious Mysteria, I know you don’t want to get hit by my hammer but that’s not the only thing I can swing that’ll end up hurting forever.
I have my hands.” “Ouch, ouch,” He groaned in pain.

Why was she pulling his ear?
Of all things.
To think he would get this treatment from her.
It felt amazing for some reason.
(Sigh) Mark and Devon were, once again stunned by Alice’s action.
Why did she go for Michael’s ear?
Yes, she was powerful but she could at least show a little bit of respect to a veteran like Micheal.
Wait, did she even know who he was or what he could do?
Maybe they should stop her.
But at the same time, they didn’t want to get involved.
Maybe this was a good thing.
After all, Micheal was a free blood who worked with his curiosity of fascinating things and didn’t like anyone talking down on him.
If Alice could put him in his place, who were they to interrupt, right?
He might be cruel and cunning in his dealings, but they doubt he would be a match for Alice, who had high perception and intelligence.
She would be able to handle anything he did.
(And yet they still worry if she went to fight a monster.
I don’t understand them anymore) “Why are you trying to pick a fight?” Alice asked, twisting his ear.
“I wasn’t.
I wasn’t.” Micheal answered.
“Then, were you trying to get a rise out of Mark?
He may be indifferent and cold sometimes but I can tell he has a temper.
Did you want to trick him to fight you and lose, eh, Mister Mysterious Mysteria?” Micheal glanced at Mark.
So, was she pulling his ear because he was messing with Mark’s head?
“Anyone who wants to cause trouble will get a one-way ticket to the sky.
So, let’s all stay calm until that gate breaks.
Are we clear?” “Yes, yes.” Micheal answered.
“But I don’t mind if you punish me more.” His words made them all cringe and Alice let go right away.
“Ugh, another weirdo.” She exclaimed, looking away.
“Micheal, you’ve got weird taste.” Micheal smiled.
The words didn’t hit him at all.
Rather, he was used to it and he said, “Thank you for the compliment.” Alice stared at him.
What was the reaction he was having at a time like this?
She couldn’t tell through his voice and though it seemed like he was smiling, she couldn’t shake off the stale feeling in his tone.
She sighed.
She must be overthinking it.
Micheal went silent, surprisingly.
Mark went to stand beside Alice, weary of what Micheal may do and Devon went to organize his subordinates.
Alice felt the gaze.
The stern yet light gaze of Micheal fixed on her.
She knew he wouldn’t go silent just because she told him to keep quiet.
No man was that obedient.
Then, did he want something from her?
A chair had been provided for her by, of course, Mark.
She got up from it and walked towards Michael who was standing a few feet away from her with his gaze glued on her.
“Where are you going?” Mark asked and she answered, not looking back.
“Taking a walk.” He wanted to walk with her but she said, “Don’t come with me.
Just stay here.
I’ll be back in a few seconds.” She said and glanced back but not at him.
She glanced at the rooftop.
This would be okay, right?
She was just going to stroll a bit.
“Hey,” she called out to Michael.
“Quit staring and come with me.” “Are we going to have a little bonding time?” He asked, delighted but she shook her head.
“Stop saying weird things and come with me.
I have some things to ask you.” “Okay.
You can ask me whatever.” He obediently followed her.
Mark watched them leave and his eyes narrowed, staring at Micheal with cold eyes that could kill.
Why?
Why did she not want him to go with her?
CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Okay, Mark.
You gotta chill.
You’re gonna be toxic at this rate.
But well, well all know that Mark has a very deep jealousy rate after that previous chapter.
He was even Jealous of Alice’s smile, to the extent he hated her, even if he did like her.
That’s messed up, isn’t it?
Well, let’s hope for a better change for him and that his jealousy doesn’t get in the way of anything.
PS, I like Micheal and yes, it looks like he’s a masochist.
We’ve gotta need at least one weirdo in our harem, don’t you think?
