- Chapter 137 - Chapter 137 You'll still get the last bid
Chapter 137: You’ll still get the last bid Chapter 137: You’ll still get the last bid “I guess many of us are here for this particular product.” The MC said, pushing his mic to his lips.
“It’s the most precious item on the market.
A potion that increases a person’s stats tenfold.
Are you a C-class awakened and you’re tired of always being looked down on?
B-class?
A-class?
You’re always being looked down on by those S-class awakeneds because they’re all so mighty?
Heh heh,” he scoffed.
“Well, bow your head no more.” He pointed at the box.
“In this box, there are over a thousand bottles of this miracle potion that can increase any awakeneds stats by ten folds.
And only one lucky person will get it all.” Alice just couldn’t believe it.
Not like she couldn’t believe the effects; after all, she had seen firsthand how powerful it made Big Stach.
She just…
Didn’t believe there would be this much circulating.
This really was the devil’s shrine.
Where all evil thrives and all crimes are committed.
Who was it that was sending out this much amount of demon blood into the world?
And this was definitely not the first time.
Big Stach had acquired a bottle before.
She just hoped at that time, there were only a few bottles distributed.
If she could just find those other few who had bought the few bottles with him.
‘Leo, could you tell me a little more details surrounding this side plot?’ she asked, releasing her fingers from the poor chair.
‘Tell me, what exactly happened?’ *…* Leo went silent for a few seconds.
He wasn’t supposed to tell her.
He, too, didn’t know much of the side plot but he was worried that if he told her, especially here where her powers were suppressed more than half, her life could be in danger.
‘Just tell me.
Anything.’ Alice urged him.
‘I need to know one single thing they did.
Maybe I’ll be able to understand things better if you do.
Did they destroy the world alongside the demons and monsters?

What did they do?’ *Alice, you know you just recovered from information overload.
I can’t risk-* ‘Screw that.’ she broke the chair handle and then looked around.
Luckily, no one noticed.
She sighed.
‘Just tell me one little thing that you feel I might know but don’t.
That way, it won’t be like I’m hearing too much.’ *Hm, do you remember when you had the vision of a demon swallowing up the association chairman?* He asked and she flinched.
*Those were demons, yes, but they were once humans.* ‘What?’ *The crooked beings cannot let out so many demons from purgatory.
So, they let out the few that can do the bidding, just right, no matter how powerful or how ‘big’ they are.* Alice closed her eyes, she felt she was bleeding.
No, she felt her eyes would bleed.
They weren’t bleeding yet.
Just a little more.
She just needed to hear a little more.
*So, my guess is that a demon is around right now, distributing its blood.
And then after that second calamity struck, it made its blood dominate their host and then transformed them into mindlessly killing demons.* Alice felt her heart thump and Leo stopped talking.
*Are you okay?
Was that too much to handle?* ‘I’m okay.’ she said and raised her gaze to the stage.
‘To think there was such a thing.
Why didn’t you say anything?’ *It eluded my memory.* He said.
*Something as important as this shouldn’t have but it’s still so unfamiliar to me.
And I can’t recall who the perpetrator is.* ‘That’s enough.’ Alice said.
‘As long as I know this, I’ll be able to stop it.’ she clenched her fists.
“Are we done with our little chit-chats?” The MC asked and everyone went silent.
“Now, shall we start the bid?” He asked but there was another round of murmuring.
‘So, that’s why you were rushing me so much.’ Alice thought as she fell back and relaxed on her chair.
She stared at the MC who was proudly watching the expressions of the customers who were about to spend a fortune on these priceless ‘potions’.
Whoever was doing this…
It had to be a demon.
There was no other explanation behind it.
“We start the bidding price from one hundred million.” He announced and Alice pursed her lips.
That was a lot.
Well, screw it.
She would make sure to win the bid no matter how high the price was.
After all, she wasn’t gonna pay a dim.
“200 million.” Alice yelled, raising her bidding pan.
“300 million.” The competition was rather fierce and Leo asked her to lay low until the competitors were reduced to two.
*You’ll still get the last bid so calm down for now.* He said.
‘Got it.
Ha, I feel like I’m a billionaire waiting for the last life.’ she snickered.
‘There’s no way I’ll let any of you scoundrels have possession of demon blood.’ As they kept bidding, the price went up to a billion, but they weren’t stopping.
They saw profit with this product.
If they could acquire it, what they spent would be doubled or even tripled.
There were down to two, fighting over 2.5 billion and 2.6 billion.
Alice saw this as her time to shine and she raised her bidding pan, boldly calling out the price, “3…” But her tongue seemed to have been cut.
What was going on?
Someone had cast a spell on her and she couldn’t move her lips.
‘Leo, what’s going on?’ *Someone seems to be playing dirty.* He said, and she glanced around to see the last bidder, who had a black mask covering his upper face, leaving his lips and chin open.
He was smirking at her.
Was it him?
Oh, that scumbag.
Was that how he was going to do it?
Well, two can play that game.
“Are there no other bidders?” The MC asked, and Alice tried to open her mouth, but it was delayed shut.
She thought all stats were reduced to nothing.
So, how was this guy doing it?
Was it an artifact?
“2.5 billion, going once, going twice…” They smirked, feeling they would get the last laugh but just as the MC was about to yell, ‘sold’ Alice’s voice spoke up.
Well, more like the voice in her head.
Leo took over her vocals and though her lips did not move, his voice came out.
“3 billion.” He called and the game player frowned.
“Wow, 3 billion.
Do we have another buyer?
Any other bidder?” He asked, glancing over the audience.
“3 billion, going once, going twice, and sold.
Congratulations number 4, you have won the bid for this miracle potion.
You can go around back to make your payment and collect your goods.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Sold
