Chapter 153: Are you sure you’ve thought this over?
“So, Miss Florida, the popular, was also one of the buyers of that so-called miracle potion in the past.” She said, folding her arms and Micheal asked, suddenly appearing behind her.
“What miracle potion?” Alice flinched and turned to look at him.
Though she could not see the expression on his face, she could tell he was looking at her eagerly waiting to hear this interesting piece of information.
“Ignore it.” She said, shaking her head in exhaustion.
“And also, weren’t you supposed to be watching my back?” She asked, looking at him like he was being cheap.
“Oh, I was.” He said.
“And that’s why I’ve been at your back the whole time.” “Liar, if not for my jacket’s protective mechanism, I would’ve taken a hit.” She said but he shook his head.
“That’s not true.
Even if you didn’t see the attack coming, you’re not that weak that you can’t react on time.
After all, you were so confident that you were the one going to be the one doing the protecting, so I decided to trust your words.” He said with a smile, and though he was right, she didn’t want to lose.
“Even if, you said you would, so you’re supposed to watch my actual back.” She pointed at her back.
“Or at least help me take that one down.” She pointed at Florida.
“My head is still a bit fuzzy.” She wanted to sit this one out.
And truly, her head still felt fuzzy, like someone was trying to control her mind.
Micheal looked towards Florida, his eyes darkening.
“Are you sure about it?” He asked, his tone sounding cold and she looked up at him, wondering why he was sounding so deadly all of a sudden.
“If I take charge now, I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to let her live.” Alice went silent.
Was he saying he would kill Florida?
Kill?
“Um, wait, let me think.” She turned away from him.
‘Leo, I don’t think that’s a bad idea.
Let’s get rid of one of the bad eggs while we still can.’ *Good idea.
That lady doesn’t look like she’s going to be making any important contribution in the future.
Let’s take her out.* ‘Hehe, great minds think alike.’ Micheal watched Alice cackling to herself.
Seriously, was she in agreement with that?
He thought she was fighting for the righteous cause.
Why would she be in support of his decision to ‘off’ Florida?
Well, she had been a serious pain in the ass.

So maybe Alice just wanted to get rid of the nuisance and use him for the cause.
His lips twisted up lightly.
‘So, she can also be quite sinister.’ he thought, feeling a certain amusement crawl up his chest.
‘I can’t say I don’t find it fascinating.
It’s truly…
Interesting.’ “Okay,” Alice said, “I think you can do whatever you want.” She smiled.
“I’m not going to stop you.” “Are you sure you’ve thought this over?” He asked and Florida attacked.
She grabbed his hand and pulled him to herself, avoiding his attack and smirking at his face.
“She’s already out of control.
We’d be the irresponsible ones if we let such a menace roam around, alive.” Her eyes spoke of her conviction.
They glinted and hinted at her intentions, and Micheal’s smirk grew.
“So, why not?
If anything happens,” She pushed him away and took a step back.
The whip landed on the floor in between them and slashed it into two.
“Hehe, we can just say the monsters got to her.” She shrugged.
Micheal, whose feet scraped the floor after Alice pushed him away, stopped his feet, stopped his movement, and stood straight, the smoke covering their view of the other, but he could see.
He could see so clearly that he couldn’t hide his excitement anymore.
“Keke, Miss Alice,” he called, addressing her formerly.
“The more I get to know you, the more I feel you and I are very compatible.” He said.
“Oh yeah?” She asked and noticed the whip whooshing her way again, so she took a step back and it missed her by an inch, spreading smoke and covering her view.
“How so?” “Very so.” Micheal responded, his masked face appearing before her and surprising her.
She flinched.
“Dammit, you startled me.” She said and turned away from him, her hand on her chest to calm her beating heart.
The fact that she couldn’t sense him when she wasn’t trying remained.
And she ended up startled each time he sneaked up on her.
She had to hurry up and get used to it.
“Hey, it’s that mask, right?” She asked and he tilted his head.
“Is it some kind of magic?
I can’t sense you because it has that blocking mechanism, isn’t it?” She asked more questions, but Micheal did not get a chance to answer as the whip came once more.
But this time, instead of avoiding it and talking as they had been doing, he caught the whip.
Florida had been fighting from a distance, throwing her attacks because she knew she was no match for them when it came to close combat.
But now, her whip got caught.
“Let go, you assholes!” She yelled.
“I’ll make sure to make minced meat of you.” “Oh really?” Micheal asked.
“But I wonder, how can you make minced meat of us when you’re so far away?” His voice sounded gold and his grip on the whip tightened.
“How about coming a little closer?” Florida’s eyes widened and she immediately smelt danger.
She let go of the whip immediately and wanted to move further away to avoid getting caught by his mana rope but it was too late.
He already caught her.
“Now, don’t try to escape.” He said.
“Right now, your life is in my hands.
Literally.” Alice watched this.
She saw Florida struggling to hold the rope but it just wasn’t working.
She was choking and couldn’t save herself.
She looked at Micheal who turned to her and said, “I have her in my hands.
But are you sure you won’t regret it?” He asked, and Alice shrugged.
“Sure, go ahead.” “No nightmares?” He asked and she scoffed.
“Please, do I look like I care?” She turned around, honestly not giving two fucks about what would become of Florida.
Whatever would happen, she deserved it.
So, if anyone were to blame, then it was herself.
And besides, people who used demon blood seemed to be a lost cause.
So, if anything, they were actually doing the world a favor and eradicating evil.
‘Well, if I leave this to him, I can go towards the gate and maybe find traces of the demon.’ she thought but then paused, looking at Micheal, who was slowly strangling Florida while dragging her to him by the neck, but she resisted, making it far more fun for him.
Alice watched him.
He seemed to be okay with this sort of thing.
He was so mysterious and weird.
But then, her eyes fell on his mask.
He told her before, the reason why he wore a mask but…
This was the first time she was actually getting curious.
She was curious as to what his face looked like.
What did he look like while strangling another human being?
Well, technically a half-human, since Florida was on her way to becoming a demon, but still…
Just as his voice sounded cold, did his expression look cold?
What was the color of his eyes?
What was the shape of his nose, and the shape of his lips?
How long were his eyelashes?
Were his eyebrows bushy?
She wondered about these things for the first time and ended up asking herself, ‘Hm, have I ever been so curious about another person before?’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Okay, Y’all.
