- Chapter 155 - Chapter 155 Her heart raced
Chapter 155: Her heart raced Chapter 155: Her heart raced “But…” Alice suddenly said, interrupting his conviction to give up.
“If you’re just looking for a kiss and nothing more, I don’t think I’d mind.
That is…
If that’s all you’re looking for.
I won’t stand for it if you suddenly say we’re getting married just because of one kiss.
I’ll beat the crap out of you if you do.” She said with serious eyes that searched his plain mask as if trying to find a hint as to what he was thinking or what kind of expression he was having on his face.
“Nothing else?
Then I’m game.” Alice had a motive.
She didn’t care about lip-locking.
She did that a lot in the past when she was still a kid, free and happy.
But it was with stuffed animals, that is.
But then one day, she kissed an actual boy.
She was 7 and while one of the male kids picked up a frog, attempting to scare the other girls, she pushed him.
She shoved him by the shoulder, but her attempt was not completely successful since she ended up falling with him, and their lips locked.
The kids teased them for the whole season because of that.
And while it helped, since the boy no longer messed with other girls or anyone for that matter because he was still embarrassed, Alice was not left out of the embarrassment.
To cut the long story short.
She did not see kissing as a big deal.
She only got embarrassed about it.
If anything, it was just like touching a piece of flesh with another piece of flesh.
So, if that was what Micheal wanted, then she was ready to go for it…
As long as he took off his mask.
To kiss her, he would have to take off his mask, right?
So, then all her questions would be answered.
She didn’t know why it bothered her but this level of curiosity was not healthy.
She would take a glimpse.
Just one glimpse while they locked lips and then her mind would finally fall at ease.
“Ah, yes.” Micheal said.
“I guess we could do that.” But as soon as he said that, the ground shook, and the building where the red gate stood dangerously broke down, leaving the gate in midair gradually sparking out of control.
Alice could see all that was going on where she was but she wasn’t too bothered.

“Hah, guess the gate is too heavy for the building to carry.” She exclaimed, putting her hands on her waist.
“The monsters might pop out any time soon.” She said, and Micheal suddenly slid his hands past her hands and around her slim waist, gripping lightly.
“Then I guess we have to hurry here as well.” He said, and Alice’s eyes widened in anticipation as she watched him reach for the side of his mask, ready to take it off.
Slowly, he shifted it and her heart raced even more.
She was excited.
So excited that she couldn’t stand it any longer.
‘Fuck shit, I’ll just take a look.’ she said and helped him take off the mask in a hurry, but her excitement dropped right away.
“You seem like you’re in a hurry.” He said and leaned in.
“Don’t worry, I’ll make it quick.” And while she was still dazed by what she saw, he leaned down and locked their lips.
Her heart raced…
For many reasons.
So, she attributed none of it to the feeling of danger while he kissed her.
‘I can’t believe it.’ Alice thought, her grip on the mask in her hand tightening to the extent that it trembled.
‘Under his mask is…another mask?’ Micheal, who seemed to have figured out Alice’s intentions, smirked through their lightly locked lips and then pulled her in deeper.
He pressed the back of her head and pressed his lips harder on hers, gradually parting his lips.
‘I feel like I’ve been played.’ Alice thought and decided she would outplay the player.
So, she took things further.
The mask fell from her hand, and she grabbed his collar, wanting to take the lead.
She wouldn’t let him take control and would have things done her way.
Leo, spectating this whole scenario, could not help but shake his head.
Just what was going on in Alice’s mind?
Maybe dancing chicken, but still…
Couldn’t she tell that indulging more in this so-called ‘just a kiss’ was going to actually be in Micheal’s favor?
*Maybe I should’ve taught her a thing or two about these things.
I feel like I’m to blame for all of this.* But how would they know that Micheal had another mask underneath his plain white mask?
Was he a mask addict or something?
Who goes around wearing two masks?
After Alice yanked off the mask in a hurry, she saw another white mask looking like a cloth glued to his face and his lips were all that were saved from the cloth’s clutches.
Even his eyes weren’t spared.
But why go so far?
She wondered if the scar was so horrible that he had a backup mask for it.
It was creepy but at the same time, she started to feel empathetic.
Trying so desperately to cover up a scar like that…
How did Micheal feel?
If a person could get closer to the heart and know more about another through a kiss, she wished to be able to do so and understand Micheal more.
Why the heck was she suddenly feeling empathetic and wanting to chore herself with understanding someone else’s feelings?
She had not the slightest clue.
Before Alice knew it, she was enveloped in a kiss she thought she would feel nothing for.
Her heart raced and she didn’t think it was anything that had to do with excitement.
But it was strange.
They were just locking lips.
Locking their lips in a sweet savoring manner.
Slow and…
Wet and drowning in a feeling that she was yet to understand.
And that was how Alice got her first actual kiss.
But if only it could’ve ended as simply as that.
While their lips were still locked, Devon appeared with Mark who had been badgering him about coming back for Alice.
As soon as they arrived, they met with a sight that neither of them imagined they would see.
Not in their wildest dreams and not in reality either.
Alice was kissing a man.
And that man was none other than Micheal.
How did they know it was him?
His mask was lying on the floor and screaming out for attention.
They went livid.
Mark went livid with rage, his blood boiling at the sight and his veins crawling up his clenched fists.
“What the hell is going on?!” Mark barked in anger and Alice flinched, breaking the kiss right away to turn and see who was making a ruckus all of a sudden.
Only to find out, it was Mark and Devon.
Both were staring at them like they had just come upon an abomination.
Oh boy.
