- Chapter 191 - Chapter 191 I'm glad you could make it
Chapter 191: I’m glad you could make it Chapter 191: I’m glad you could make it “Pardon my grandson, Alice.” Adolf said to her and she turned her head to the side.
He was walking beside her.
“He was not in agreement with the dinner arrangement, and though I wanted him to attend, he violently refused, as you saw.
On a normal day, he would just ignore me and walk away but something seemed to have gotten on his nerves.” He slowly stretched out his collar.
“It was unusual.” “Well, I don’t care about him.” Alice said.
“He should just stop acting like an entitled brat.” “Ah, he’s far from feeling entitled.” Adolf said but shook his head.
“But I guess his actions are not normal.
Once again, I apologize that you had to see that.” “Well, it’s fine.” She pouted.
“But well, if you’re looking for a grandchild to spoil all your money on, there’s one kid very available and ready, hehe.” She smiled broadly.
Adolf stopped walking and she stopped as well.
Looking at him and wondering why he stopped.
He blinked, breaking out of his trances, and cleaned his eyes.
“Pardon me.
Just now…
You reminded me of someone.” He said and continued walking.
Alice felt a strange energy coming from him.
It felt familiar.
But she couldn’t understand it so she decided to ignore it.
Typical Alice, always ignoring the things she didn’t understand.
She hated to stress herself with unnecessary things more than anything.
Leo, walking behind them, examined both of their energies, as well as their blood vessels.
They had similarities in many ways and he got him thinking, what if Adolf was Alice’s grandfather?
Of course, it would’ve been a stretch but nothing was impossible.
“Would you have taken action?” Devon’s question interrupted Leo.
He blinked his eyes, clearing his internal vision and regaining his normal vision.
(Just to be clear, internal vision is when you look into a person.
Their energy levels, the kind of blood that runs through their veins, and whatnot.
It’s almost like when Alice uses her third eye) “What?” “When the young master wanted to grab Alice’s neck, you looked like you were going to break his neck.” He said but Leo shook his head.
“You must’ve been imagining it.” He said.
“I know how capable Alice is, so there would be no need to take action over something so little.” Devon was sure of what he felt at that time.

He felt his blood boil, knowing the young master was going for her neck.
But more than that, there was this killing intent next to him.
He took a second to glance at Leo and look away since it was horrifying.
He held a straight face, and his hands were tucked in his pockets, but the aura he was releasing, as well as the look in his eyes, were far from normal.
If a fight broke out, the entire mansion that was built so magnificently would collapse for sure.
And no, it wouldn’t be considered a fight.
A one-sided beating would be the right way to put it.
And the mansion would only break if the other party, the young master, survived the first few hits.
Alice held her punches when she punched him into the wall and that was why nothing broke.
They got to the dining hall and Alice’s eyes widened as she found a big roasted turkey at the center of the table.
Her mouth watered right away but Devon helped her wipe it off.
She looked at him to find him smiling at her and she smiled back.
“Thanks.” She said and hurried to sit.
Leo took a seat next to her and Devon sat opposite her while Adolf sat at the head of the table.
“I’m glad you could make it.” He said.
“Now, it’s time to fulfill my promise.” He added and she nodded.
She was about to pick up the fork but Leo cleared his throat.
She glanced at him to find him pointing to Adolf, who was waiting for Lawson to open the wine and pour in his glass.
“Oh,” she exclaimed silently.
For a moment, she forgot Adolf was a dignified figure.
Lawson, along with other maids, filled their glasses with wine.
And after that, Adolf raised his glass to give a toast.
“Just as the world is filled with so many unexpected scenarios, I do hope that we live to see another day and stuff our stomachs for all that’s worth.” He took the first sip and Alice gulped down her wine.
“Hm,” she licked her lips.
“It’s sweet.” “I especially picked out a sweet one, guessing you might have a sweet tooth.” Adolf said.
“I’m glad I made the right choice.” “Oh, you’re all so kind.
Thank you for the meal.” She finally picked up her fork and was about to eat when something caught her attention.
“Gramps,” she called.
“Yes, Alice?” “What’s the name of your grandson?” She asked and though he did not expect her to be curious about that, he answered her anyway, “His name is Philip.” He answered.
“Philip Reinheart.” “Ah,” she dropped her fork after her soft exclamation, causing them to wonder what was going on with her.
She shook her head, but something was hanging at the edge of her memories.
She couldn’t shake it off.
She couldn’t get what it was but it was bothering her.
Even if she wanted to ignore it, the feeling was still there, petruding her thoughts.
“Philip, Philip,” she muttered softly, and then Leo placed a hand on her shoulder, jolting her out of her thoughts.
She turned to him and found him shaking his head at her.
*Stop thinking or you’ll have a nosebleed.* He said to her, and she swiped her hair softly over her ear.
‘It’s a memory, isn’t it?’ *Yes, but I don’t think it is worth it.
So, stop thinking.* He took his hand off and she nodded.
“Alice,” Adolf called.
“Are you alright?” “Yes, I am.
But…” She glanced at the turkey.
“Can I make a request?” “What is it?” He was ready to agree to anything and her lips widened.
“Can you cut out the parts that will be distributed right away?
I don’t think I can wait to devour that scrumptious meat in front of me.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Hehe, Alice being Alice
