- Chapter 198 - Chapter 198 Then, I think I already know your favorite subject
Chapter 198: Then, I think I already know your favorite subject Chapter 198: Then, I think I already know your favorite subject “We’re done.” Leo announced as he walked out of the kitchen and Alice turned to them.
That took quite a while.
How many more minutes did they have to spare?
She caught sight of two food flasks in their hands, and her eyes gleamed.
“Then should we get going?” Alice asked but Leo suddenly grabbed her by the hand and said, “Come with me for a moment.” She tilted her head.
“Huh?” But one look in his eyes and she could tell he had something to say.
“Oh alright,” she said.
“Oh, and bring the other flask with you.” She obediently followed his directives while Mark stared in confusion.
What were they up to?
The kitchen had no doors, so their conversation was pretty open, but Leo knew just how to block their voices from reaching other ears.
He set up a soundproof barrier around them, and even though Alice could see it, she couldn’t understand what it was.
She would never doubt Leo so she didn’t even ask what it was and went on to ask what he wanted to talk about.
“So, what is it?” She asked.
“First, put these in your ring.” She said and she did so.
“Alice, tell me the truth.
Did you request to pack up the rest of the meal just because you wanted to enjoy eating it later?
Or did you suddenly feel full?” Alice went silent.
She stared Leo dead in the eye and then she closed her eyes and shrugged.
“What the heck are you talking about?
Of course, it’s because I want to savor the taste later.” She opened her eyes.
“And my stomach was feeling cramped all of a sudden like I was getting full, but I know I wasn’t getting full.
I was just under so much pressure that I couldn’t digest it properly.
So, that’s why.” She explained, but Leo did not look at it so simply.
But for now, if she said it was that, then he would just have to monitor the situation slowly.
Something just wasn’t feeling right all of a sudden.
And Alice’s body was…
He scanned her with his eyes and then he closed them, sighed, and said, “Guess I must’ve read too much into it.” He said.
Alice stepped towards him and knocked on his forehead lightly.
“Hey, is anyone home?” She sarcastically asked.
“I think the landlord is starting to lose his mind.” “Stop it.” He held her hand and she laughed.

“Glad to see you’re not losing it at least.” She said.
“Can you hurry this up a bit?” Miss Stella suddenly said from outside the barrier.
“You’ve got five more minutes and after that, there’s no excuse why you shouldn’t be in the elevator, heading down to my car.” “Got it.” Alice responded and then turned to Leo.
“You hear that?
The gate of hell’s been opened, and apparently, it’s calling our name.” She smirked.
“And we got to answer it.” “Don’t be all smug about it.” Leo said, dropping his hand on her head and pushing her forward.
“Unlike you, I think I’ll be looking forward to learning more of this world.” “Ugh,” she rolled her eyes and started walking out slowly.
“Then I think I already know your favorite subject.” “Which is?” He asked, also walking out of the kitchen.
And as he stepped through the barrier, it faded.
She paused, did a cool girl pose, and glanced over her shoulder, smirking.
“History.” “Are we ready?” Miss Stella asked as she turned on the engine of her car and both of them at the back of the car nodded.
Mark sat at the front.
He insisted that he wanted to see Alice at school on the first day and, from there, head to his job.
“Ready as we’ll ever be,” Alice answered and looked at Leo, who was looking through the bag of books that had been provided for them.
Miss Stella hit the gear and drove till she got to the school gate, and honestly, for someone with her face and stature, that sort of driving she displayed was crazy.
It was like she was actually driving them to hell’s gate.
“Oh my, teach.
Whatever happened to the discipline you kept preaching to us about?” Alice asked, completely stunned out of her skirt.
“Oh, that?” She laughed it off as she took off her seat belt.
“I am extremely disciplined.
But not with driving, of course.
Haha.” “I don’t feel like asking why.” Alice mumbled.
“Now, now, students.
Remember to never take off your name tag.” She said, and Alice looked down at the red name tag on the left side of her chest.
“It indicates that you are an awakened student and also one of class A.” “Hm,” Leo looked at it.
“Red for danger.” He exclaimed.
“Exactly.” Miss Stella agreed with him.
“Class A is the class for advanced awakeneds, so that means they are dangerous to normal students and even fellow awakends.
Hence, they need to be distinguished properly by the color red.” “So I’m dangerous?” Alice mumbled as she asked in disbelief, earning a ‘kick yourself in the ass’ stare from Leo.
She was one to talk.
“All awakened students in the awakened block have colored name tags and according to your level, that’s how you’re ranked.” Alice nodded, understanding it all.
“Well, I got the gist of it.” She said and put on her glasses.
“I get it, you don’t have to drag me by the collar.” She said, adjusting her collar and luckily, it hadn’t been squeezed.
‘Hm, do you think putting me in the same place with a bunch of kids is a good idea?’ Alice asked in her thoughts and Leo made sure to support that decision.
*Of course it’s not.
Only heavens know just what kind of torture you will put those poor kids through.* He said, causing an irk to form on her forehead.
‘Not that, stupid.’ She yelled at him in her thoughts and then looked out the window.
‘I mean, you know it, right?
I’m a danger to myself and wherever I go, gates appear.’ *Well, there’s nothing to be done.
You can’t exactly tell them you’re the reason the gates are appearing so frequently either.* ‘Yeah, if I did, they would blame me for all the misfortunes and burn me on a stake.’ She twisted her lips.
Humans are just like that.
A rotten set of beings who forget the good in someone when dire situations come.
“Alright, are we ready?” Miss Stella asked as they all got out of the car.
“Then,” she glanced at the two and smiled.
“Let’s go.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah It’s finally here, y’all.
I’ve been hoping to get to this point for a long time and I really want to start Alice’s school arc.
I don’t know if it’s because I get to write Alice flaunting her status and looking at the bragging idiots like their mice, but I a am very very very excited about this and will write it to my hearts content.
Please support me more as we venture more into this
