- Chapter 202 - Chapter 202 It's so peaceful
Chapter 202: It’s so peaceful Chapter 202: It’s so peaceful Alice did her possible best to pay attention during class.
And just as Miss Stella said, she was just the form teacher of the class and other ‘ordinary’ teachers took other courses.
Some appeared to be a little frightened of the students in this class, even if they weren’t doing anything, while others wanted to throw their weight and give the students no chance to be haughty but they honestly didn’t care.
Attending school was for the purpose of passing time, after all.
So, if the teachers wanted to touch a single line on their note and leave, no one would stop them.
After all, teaching a class filled with monsters took guts.
“Hey, the next teacher isn’t coming today.” Someone announced and the class burst out in excitement.
‘Such good news.’ Alice thought and rested her head on the desk.
‘I can finally take a nap.’ She did her best to listen and even tried to write down what the teacher wrote on the board but oftentimes, she got distracted by the atmosphere she was in.
She would glance around the class and find a few snickering and chatting while making the teacher deaf to their noises.
She found some sleeping in class and others being serious.
The pages of textbooks and ink were a bit sharp at the tip of her nose and very very unfamiliar.
She raised her head and looked towards the window.
Birds flying about peacefully and over the sports field.
Students having P.E class rambling and giggling in the distance.
With minimal concentration, she could feel everything.
She could hear it all, see it all and she could tell…
The feeling was very different from her usual environment.
‘It’s so peaceful.’ The little breeze that blew in while the teacher was at the front of the class, teaching, swept her hair softly and also swept Leo’s gaze to her.
He looked at her softly and said, “You’re doing great.” And then he turned to continue listening to the teacher.
Was that a word of encouragement or what?
She laughed softly and silently.
Leo had his way of doing this, like always.
Now that there was no teacher, Alice dropped her head to the desk, ready to get a little shut-eye before the next period.
She closed her eyes and started napping, her face was in the direction of the rest of the class and not towards Leo because Leo was seated next to the window, which meant the light was penetrating from his side.
She didn’t want to get disturbed by the light, so she took the risk of facing the class.
Damian saw her closed eyes and wondered if she wasn’t going to take off her glasses.
Well, she may have it on for some reason so he wouldn’t pry.
But…
He remembered the conversation he had with his brother before they set out to school that morning.

“Damian, I’m going to introduce you to a very extraordinary person.” He said.
“And if possible, I would like it if you could be friends with her.
Because…
Staying by her side is the safest place you will ever be in the world.” He still couldn’t get why his brother said such a thing.
Usually, he would say the safest place to be in the world was next to him.
But this time, he said, “Alice is a light that shines in the darkness.
I can’t tell you much but if she comes to trust you, she will tell you everything.” Damian stared at Alice’s face.
She certainly glowed with her face but was that the light his brother was speaking so highly of?
He doubted it.
“What’s the matter?” He heard Alice’s voice and flinched in surprise.
“You’ve been staring at my face.
Is there something on it?” She was speaking without even opening her eyes.
“Ah, no.
It’s not…” He cleared his throat, trying to get rid of his awkwardness.
“I just feel you might be uncomfortable with your glasses on.” “Oh, this?
It is uncomfortable but I have no choice but to keep it on.” She said.
“I’ll get used to it eventually.” She let out a soft breath.
The desks were hard.
She needed a pillow or something.
“Ah,” she raised her head all of a sudden and snapped her fingers.
“That’s right.
I came prepared for this.” She turned to Leo.
“Would you mind passing me the bag, Leo?” Leo picked up the bag hanging on the corner hook of his desk and handed it to her.
Alice unzipped the bag, tucked her hand inside, and took out a pink pillow with a grin plastered on her lips.
“Hehe, always come prepared to take a nap.” She said and gave the bag back to Leo.
She dropped the pillow on the desk and proceeded to sleep.
Damian was amazed she thought that far to carry a pillow along with her.
It was amazing but…
Didn’t that mean she was a sloth type?
A sloth type, as it referred to, was a person who was often lazy and could sleep through anything, so long it did not concern them.
Alice was a nice definition of that.
But if she were, then how was she a light like his brother said she was?
“Are you comfortable?” Leo asked her and she answered, “Yeah, to the standard of resting on a school desk.” She said.
“Anyway, I’ll take a light nap.
Wake me up when the next teacher comes in.” “Sure.” He returned his gaze to the book in his hand.
It was a literature book added to their list of books and textbooks in their bag.
‘Hm, this seems interesting.
But before that, let me work on the spatial door.’ he rested his head, and his consciousness traveled to the ring space.
He had been working on the spatial exit, just as he did for the Domus, the baby griffin.
He had made the door a little over a hundred inches tall and a hundred centimeters wide.
It could be enough to let one person in at a time but that was it.
He knew he could increase its circumference, he just needed to work on it a bit more.
While both were out, one was sleeping, and the other was working on a spatial gate; Damian was left alone.
He didn’t mind though.
After all, they weren’t quite close yet.
He was not quite familiar with them so he felt like there was a certain wall between them.
They were of different worlds, that was a fact.
But maybe he could get close to them.
He could get close to Alice.
His cheek flushed lightly just thinking about it.
She was extraordinary at sight.
“So,” someone’s voice broke Damian out of his thoughts, and he raised his head to find a guy, along with two others, marching towards them.
“What do we have here?” The one in the middle looked like their leader.
He was fit, yes, a handsome face, yes, a great attitude, no.
He looked like the type who would pick on the weak just for fun.
He sat on the empty chair in front of Damian, crossed his legs, and grinned proudly.
“Let’s have a little chat.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Students, always up to no good
