- Chapter 209 - Chapter 209 No appetite
Chapter 209: No appetite Chapter 209: No appetite Lunch break came, and while others went to the cafeteria to get lunch, Alice and Leo made their way to the rooftop.
She had no idea that there were places where she could sit but she thought it would be a nice and quiet place to eat her food in peace.
Hm, I wonder if it’s against the rules to throw fists at each other like that guy did back in class.” She mumbled as she chewed on her food.
“Well, they don’t call it the dangerous class for nothing.” Leo said, and she nodded.
“Hm, you’re probably right.” The first day didn’t have many events going on and Miss Stella didn’t teach their class that day either.
But it was said that Miss Stella was in charge of their P.E.
classes along with the coach, who happened to be awakened.
Well, how else was he going to make sure the kids didn’t go overboard?
“Hm, did you enjoy the first day?” Leo suddenly asked her and she paused.
Well, nothing much happened, and although that little standoff happened with that guy and Damian, nothing else happened.
The classes were normal and not as difficult as she thought they would be.
It was all so different but at the same time, normal.
“Nothing to enjoy, I guess.” She said and continued eating, but Leo could tell by her thoughts that she actually felt relaxed.
“Oh, by the way, are you keeping an eye on Damian?” “The kid?” He asked, rolling his eyes away.
“More or less.
I can tell if he gets in trouble or anyone casts a malicious gaze at him.” “So you can see what he’s doing?” Alice asked.
“Aren’t you being a pervert by doing that?” An irk formed on Leo’s forehead.
“After all, you’re peeking at what he’s doing without his content.” She snickered and Leo raised his hand.
“I’m gonna cut the connection.” He threatened, prompting her to plead right away.
“No, stop.
I was just joking.
You’re not a pervert.” She said but he wanted to hear her plead more.
“Okay, your method is useful.
Very useful, so please don’t cut off the connection.
How am I supposed to keep an eye on him while we’re not together?” “Well, you should’ve thought of that before you made that comment.” His finger glowed.
“Okay, fine.
I was just trying to mess with you.
Don’t take it to heart, okay?” She pleaded and he dropped his glowing finger.
“You’re such a pain.” He exclaimed and sighed.
“Hurry up and finish your food.
Follow new episodes on the "N0vel1st.c0m".
We gotta get back to class before the bell rings.
I think Miss Stella will come down to do the afternoon roll call.
We can’t miss that.” “Yeah,” she put aside the first flask and took the second.
“Hm, that’s odd.
I suddenly don’t feel like eating.” “What?!” He exclaimed shocked.
“Are you serious?” “Um,” she was confused as well.
Well, she felt full and didn’t want to eat anymore but had something like that ever happened?
She ate from just one flask.
How can she feel full already?
“Is it like I said before?
You suddenly can’t take in more food like you usually do?” She nodded and shoved her fingers through her hair.
“I guess this is a problem.” “It definitely is.” He gnashed his teeth worriedly.
“If you can’t eat as much as you used to, you won’t be able to refill your energy levels anymore, and if you can’t do that…” “I’ll fall into a deep sleep.” She said.
“And you’ll stay weak.” He added and they both sighed.
“This really is a problem.
What happened before that you suddenly don’t feel like eating anymore?
When did it start?” Alice went silent.
She decided to think back.
When did she lose her appetite?
She couldn’t tell because from what she could tell, it was a gradual process.
So, she just had to think back to the last time she ate a feast.
“It should be when Devon took us out to eat but I can’t tell if it started then.” She said.
“I mean, I did eat a lot then, and even at Gramps house, I ate that entire turkey and still didn’t feel full.
So, when did it start?” “Then, is this just a thing of the moment?” He asked but she shrugged.
She had no idea.
“What do we have here?” A foreign voice asked but the duo could not be bothered to even spare a glance at them.
They were trying to figure out the source of their current problem.
“Such a pretty girl; which class do you belong to…?
Whoa!” The owner of the voice, a shabby-looking male in the company of an obese male, paused in his tracks and stopped his friend from going any further as well.
His eyes fell on the colored name tag, and of course, the particular color red was a no-go area.
“Uh, so sorry for disturbing your peace.” He bowed his head and turned the other way at once.
The shabby-looking guy quickly grabbed his companion’s arm, and they both beat it out of there.
It was never worth it going against the guys from class A of the awakeneds floor.
“Well, that was fun,” Leo said after watching the duo flee.
“If I’m being honest, that was kind of amusing” Alice shook her head, a mixture of surprise and confusion on her face.
“You’re enjoying this?” She asked but Leo shrugged and then looked past the borders of the rooftop.
“Maybe a little.
They looked like they had seen a ghost, even if we weren’t paying attention to them.
If things keep up like this, then you won’t need to destroy the school.” He said and honestly, she could not tell if that was a joke or if he was being serious.
Why would she want to destroy the school in the first place?
It wasn’t worth it.
The bell rang, signaling the end of lunch so Alice had to keep both food flasks in her ring.
“We’ll have to tackle this issue later.” He said, referring to her loss of appetite.
“It’s going to be a real issue if this turns out to be permanent.” “Maybe I’m just under the weather,” she said, standing to her feet and facing the open space.
They were so high up so the breeze was strong.
“It’s not going to be permanent,” Leo decided to listen to her words and not think too much about it but that nagging feeling was still there.
Just as he felt before, something was going wrong somewhere.
“Well, let’s head in.” He said.
“Miss Stella will start the roll call soon, and of course, she’ll be checking in on us, so we’ll need to be on our best behavior.” Alice raised an eyebrow and nudged his shoulder, “You think we’ve not already been on our best behavior?
I literally paid attention to the teachers.
It’s a big feat for even me.” “And you tackled the issue quite calmly too, so I can give you a point for that.” “Oh, so you’re giving points now?
Since when?” She raised an eyebrow at him again and he laughed, trying to bypass the nagging feeling in his chest.
She watched him laugh and looked down.
This was much better than his worried gnash.
He was ruining his perfect face by frowning, seriously.
‘But I wonder why I can’t eat anymore all of a sudden.
This is troublesome.’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Okay, what are your thoughts on this.
I’d like to hear it because I don’t think I wrote it well.
My eyes are a bit dizzy since I’ve still not fully recovered, if not I’d have uploaded 10 chapters, so honest thoughts please
