Chapter 235: …a field trip in a low-level dungeon?
Chapter 235: …a field trip in a low-level dungeon?
“Alright, it seems that we all have a lot of energy stored up.
So, why don’t we start planning some output?” Miss Stella said just after she called the roll call for the day.
No student was missing besides Lance so no one snuck off.
“From tomorrow, we’re going to commence training for the sports event.
Both team leaders have to be rational about the placings,” she glanced at Clarissa who had her head down.
“Which means, do not be partial.
After all, this is an event that will determine how strong you kids are.
So, there will be events that can max out your potential.
And as such, each person will be placed in categories they belong to.” “Um, Miss Stella,” a student called out.
“Yes, Fae?” Fae was a simple girl with two braided pigtails resting on both of her shoulders.
She looked meek and quiet but she was quite the inquisitive type.
Though, she only stuck to things that concerned her.
After all, no good would come from minding other people’s business and then getting in trouble.
This was the red class after all.
“What happens when a person has more than one capability?” Fae asked.
“Do they participate in all the events?” “As a matter of fact, yes.
They have to do everything that they’re capable of doing.” Miss Stella said.
“So, if you’re well versed in speed, you’ll race with the others.
If you are also well-versed in strength, you’ll lift weights just like others, and maybe we’ll even have a dumbbell competition.
It sounds exciting, right?” The class started chattering in excitement and Miss Stella watched in delight.
They were all so lovely and lively.
“And for the training section, we’re having a new instructor.” Miss Stella added but paused, glancing towards the ceiling as she remembered having more than one applicant.
“Ah, maybe more than one but it’s alright.
They’re all experienced.” She lightly clasped her hands together.
“And some of you may already know them.” Her gaze fell on Alice who had her head on her pillow and was fast asleep.
Alice’s ears perked up and she opened her eyes.
‘Why did it feel like someone was talking to me just now?’ she thought and Leo dropped his hand on her head.
*No one’s talking about you.

So, go back to sleep.* He said and pushed her head down.
She did not complain and went back to sleep.
“Well, any more questions?” Miss Stella asked and another student raised his hand.
It was a boy this time.
“Yes, Steven?” “Teach, what happened to our request to have a field trip in a low-level dungeon?” As soon as he asked that, Alice’s eyes shot open and she raised her head.
Leo was equally surprised to hear such.
Did they think going into dungeons was fun?
Yes, they were all awakeneds and maybe they hadn’t been able to officially start entering dungeons because of the agency’s rules but weren’t they scared?
Forget a low-level dungeon; everything after walking into the monster-infested gate was unpredictable, so the death of a few was inevitable.
“Did I hear right?” Alice asked and Leo nodded.
Miss Stella sighed and said, “This request is a rather difficult one, and the agency is taking its time to discuss this with the government.
Of course, if it’s a low-level gate, I’m sure you kids can handle it.
After all, you’re the strongest among your peers, and this experience would be vital for your growth, but…” She smiled.
“Safety first, I guess.” The class seemed excited about this news but there were a few who weren’t so excited.
And Clarissa happened to be one of them but she did not voice her concerns.
Others were possibly people who had lost a lot to gate breaks.
There were even those who had lost but were still excited, as this was their first step toward getting revenge on the monsters who took so much from them.
Alice sighed.
These kids were just too relaxed about this.
Well, if it was going to be a low-level gate, then didn’t that mean they would get to kill monsters?
And then Leo would grill monster meat for her.
Her mouth was close to overflowing when she realized the quality of meat might be a little low because the monsters were low level.
‘Their cores made great sprinkling ingredients after being reduced to dust.
It adds to the flavor.’ Leo had said once.
He was the only one who knew how to process this, but she was sure low-level monsters were no good.
“By the way, how’s Domus doing?” Alice muttered and Leo turned to her.
“Well, he’s growing.” He said.
“He’s about your size right now.” “Whoa, really?
I want to see him.
His mummy misses him.” She cuddled her pillow and then turned to Damian who flinched at being caught staring.
“Damian, do you want to see my baby?” Damian’s eyes widened.
“Y-your baby?” He exclaimed quite loudly in shock and everyone turned to the back.
“Ah,” Alice exclaimed, shocked but earning a smack on the head from Leo.
“Ouch.” “There’s no baby,” Leo said and turned to the rest of the class who were curious about the conversation that had to do with a baby from the back seat.
He glanced at Miss Stella who took that as a queue to dismiss the class.
“Well, that’ll be all for now.” She said.
“You can all go home now.
Class dismissed.” They all started scurrying out of there and Miss Stella headed for the back of the class.
She headed towards Alice and asked, “What was that just now?
If I didn’t know better, I’d say I heard you say something about a ‘baby’.” She said and Alice slumped on her pillow.
“My bad.
I let my words slip, I guess.” She said and turned to Damian.
“But it was still a baby when I picked it up, so I couldn’t help it.” Damian brushed the back of his neck, looking away shyly and awkwardly.
“Oh, are you talking about the baby griffin?” Miss Stella asked and Leo nodded.
“I haven’t even seen it in person.
Can I have the privilege of seeing it this time?” They could tell by the glint in Miss Stella’s eyes that she was equally excited about it.
“Well, I guess there’s no harm there.” Leo said.
“But let me warn you.
Domus isn’t a baby anymore.” Clarissa glanced over her shoulder at the back.
Seeing Miss Stella walk over to Alice and speak so friendly with her, only confirmed that she knew Alice before she became her student.
So, was that why she always had Alice’s back?
“Clarissa, are you coming?” Steph asked and Clarissa looked up at them.
She shook her head and said, “You guys go on ahead.
I need to check out a few things before leaving school.” She said with a polite smile.
“Sure.” They left, and she watched Miss Stella, Alice and the two guys head out of the class.
She wasn’t one to sneak around spying on others, but she was curious.
Why was Alice so special?
‘They’re heading towards the rooftop.’ She thought to herself, just sensing the direction they were headed.
‘I need to see what they’re going to do.’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Oh, so you want to snoop?
