- Chapter 236 - Chapter 236 Ah, this side is so soft and comfortable
Chapter 236: Ah, this side is so soft and comfortable Chapter 236: Ah, this side is so soft and comfortable Leo wasn’t kidding when he said Domus wasn’t a baby anymore.
He had been no more than the size of a cub but after consuming the large amount of purchased mana stones the previous day, it grew.
Wait, was that the right word?
It seemed like ‘evolve’ would be the right word.
Primary evolution.
It didn’t just grow in body alone, its steel feathers were harder and longer, its mane was also harder as well, and that cute baby feature was gone.
It looked like it could dominate the skies just from soaring alone.
“Domus,” Alice called out as she hugged it.
“My baby,” “Caw,” Domus responded with a cheerful ‘caw’.
It loved Alice, maybe because it was its master whom it had imprinted on, but Alice wasn’t the only one it liked.
It liked Leo, too, its caregiver.
And then it was familiar with the people Alice held a lot of positive energy towards.
Observe.
“Look, Damian, isn’t he the cutest?” Alice asked and truth be told, Damian was a little bit terrified.
The smaller version of the griffins that he had seen so terrifyingly in the news was right in front of him.
The appearance looked a lot friendlier than the ones who came out of the gate, but in the end, it was still a monster, and he…
He was scared.
“Come on, he won’t bite.” Alice said, and Damian shut his eyes, slowly moving closer, but Domus went ahead and snuggled its steel body on Damian.
“Ah,” Damian exclaimed and opened his eyes.
The steel, which should’ve been cold, was actually warm?
And when Domus relaxed itself, its steel would actually give way and allow normal fur to take over the surface of its body.
It let its guard down so that Damian wouldn’t be scared of him.
“See, I told you he wouldn’t bite.” Alice said with her proud nose in the air.
“If you get to know him better, you’ll see that he’s no more than a puppy.” “But I think it’s a bit of a stretch if you liken him to a puppy.” Leo said and Alice laughed.
“Who cares?” “Oh, that’s so cute.” Miss Stella said.
“Can I touch him next?” She happily approached Domus and Domus returned the same energy she was giving.
She stretched out her arms as if requesting for a hug and Domus, who didn’t exactly know what she was doing, did the same thing she did.
It stood on its back legs, raised its upper body, and stretched its arms out.
It was such a cute move that Miss Stella went ahead to hug it.
“Ah, this side is so soft and comfortable.” Miss Stella exclaimed, melting in the embrace of a monster.

“Who knew monsters could be so friendly?” “Yeah, who knew?” Leo added.
“Domus seems to be happy to get out once in a while.
Should we let him get out more often?” Alice asked Leo.
“It’s your call.” Leo said.
“I originally planned that we let him out once in a while so he doesn’t grow hostility towards humans thanks to his nature as a monster.
But I’m guessing there isn’t anything to worry about.” Then suddenly, Domus’ senses caught on to something, and it turned fiercely towards the door that led to the stairs.
“What’s wrong, Domus?” Alice asked, seeing it turn battle mode all of a sudden.
“It seems someone is coming.” Leo said.
“Someone who doesn’t like you.” “Ah, I can only think of one person in that regard.” Alice said and turned to Domus.
“Okay, boy.
It’s time to say goodbye.” Domus looked a little sad but it could not disobey.
So, it got ready, sat on its butt and waited for Alice to suck him back into his ring.
“Bye, Domus.” Miss Stella said, tickling its neck.
“The next time we see, I’ll make sure to give you a nice treat.” “M-me too.” Damian said, shyly looking away.
“I’ll also give you a nice treat.” “Say bye-bye, Domus.” Alice said and raised its paw to aid with the bye-bye ‘ritual’.
Then, she stretched out her hand and sucked him back into the ring.
“I’ll go cheer him up.” Leo said and Alice asked, “And how are you going to do that?” This made Leo smirk and he said, “Well, you can say it has similar likes and attitudes as its master.” He said and closed his eyes, leaving Alice to wonder what that meant.
“Ah, I believe he meant feeding Domus.” Miss Stella said over a little chuckle and Alice let out a long, ‘Oooh,’ “Ah, why didn’t I think of that?” She wondered, scratching her head and Damian laughed.
“Hey, you’ve been laughing a lot.
Can’t you tell me what’s so funny yet?” “It’s nothing.” He said, though he could not hide his smile.
Just then, the door opened and just as Alice suspected.
The person who walked out was none other than Clarissa.
She had planned to sneak in and hide to watch them, but as soon as she opened the door, she came face to face with them, who had already noticed her presence.
“I guess this just proves that her hostility is very strong for even Domus to catch on.” Alice mumbled, not really pleased about it.
“Clarissa, what are you doing here?” Miss Stella asked.
“I thought you’d have headed home by now.” “Ah,” Clarissa exclaimed and looked around but there was nothing.
Nothing special was going on so what did they come to the rooftop to do?
“Sorry, Miss Stella, but I thought I forgot something up here.
But I guess it’s not.” That was a very blatant lie but they wouldn’t call her out for it.
“It’s alright.” Miss Stella said and started walking towards her.
“I’ll accompany you down.” She said and Clarissa nodded with pressed lips.
“Oh, and Alice, you three should start heading home.
No one’s coming to pick you up today.” “How come?” Alice asked.
“Well, there was an emergency, so the snow guild had to take care of it.” Miss Stella said, and Alice turned to Damian, who had instinctively tightened his fist.
“But it’s not that bad, so don’t worry too much.” “Alright.
We’ll find our way home.” Miss Stella nodded and turned to Clarissa who was still trying to process what she just heard.
‘The snow guild.
Isn’t the guild master of that guild Devon Snow?’ She thought and glanced back at them.
‘What connection do they have with that amazing guild?’ Her eyes fell on Damian and then she caught on to something.
‘Wait a minute, I didn’t realize this before but that boy looks a lot like…’ Miss Stella snapped her fingers at her face and said, “Lost in thoughts, are we young lady?” Clarissa blinked her eyes, coming back to her senses.
“Oh, sorry, Miss Stella.
Let’s go then.” They walked out but she made sure to glance back one more time before leaving.
‘It might be a stretch but based on that appearance…
does that mean he’s a relative of Devon Snow?’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Okay, you figured it out a bit but you have no proof.
