- Chapter 250 - Chapter 250 We understand
Chapter 250: We understand Chapter 250: We understand Alice was done signing up, and surely, she had a little glaring-ahem-staring contest with Philip while she wrote down her name.
She could even feel Clarissa’s prickling glare on her back and neck.
It was like ten years had been deducted from her life span just having to deal with those two’s death glare.
But with this, her plan to lazy around was secured.
(Thumbs up) She stretched her arms and then fell back, knowing Leo would catch her.
He held her shoulder and shook his head.
Because she signed up for weaponry, he equally signed up there when he was sure that they would do well in strength if they were actually planning to play to win.
But at least they weren’t in the magic group.
It would only give Micheal a reason to fawn over Alice to his heart’s content.
He was shameless, that one.
“Hm, I wonder, what was the point of Miss Stella grouping the class into two and giving each group a leader if we’re going to be playing against each other anyway?” “Now, Class A,” Miss Stella called out with almost perfect timing.
“Gather around for a bit.
I have something to say.” She watched them troupe in and then cleared her throat.
“So, I know some of you are wondering what was the need of grouping and giving a leader when you’re all going to be split into categories in the end.
Well, here it is.
Since Class A can only compete with Class A in these sporting activities, we will have a competition between ourselves.” She explained and glanced around to make sure they were following.
“And when we have these competitions where there is a need for more than two teams, there will be a need to subdivide, and thus, the leaders of the groups will be in charge of that.” “Miss Stella, can you explain further?” Fae asked.
“I still don’t get it.” “Alright, so you see, even if you are all in different categories, you’re still under one group between the two groups assigned.
So, when the time comes for you to compete with one another, the two groups will have a face-off and not be on the same team.” It was as simple as that.
“Do you get that?” They nodded.
“And then, let me explain the subdivision for you, where the group leaders will be needed.
Let me use the relay race for example.
Class A only has two groups, but for the relay race, we need over four, right?
So, the group leaders will have to pick two teams from the agility category in their group, to represent them.
It would seem like they are all in different teams, but two teams inevitably belong to one group, got it?” She glanced around and sighed.
“So, even if only one person wins, the group that that person belongs to, wins.
Understand?” They nodded but suddenly started murmuring.
It wasn’t as clear as water but they seemed to get the idea of it.
“And to be clear, in both teams, there must be two A-class and B-class awakeneds to make it fair.
So, the starters can all be either A-class or B-class, you guys make your pick.

But I hope you understand this formation and don’t get confused.
Clarissa?
Terrain?” “We understand.” They both chorused.
“So, as long as the group leaders understand, the rest of you don’t have anything to worry about.” Everyone seemed to understand the situation clearly at this point, but it seemed like there was one person who did not understand fully and had shot a fuse in her brain.
“Tell me,” Alice said with a smoking head.
“Is any of that relevant to me?” She asked Leo.
“Do I need to understand that?” Leo looked at her and then stuffed a laugh.
Alice’s eyes gradually grew in surprise as she saw a light around him.
Leo noticed her staring and looked down at her, wondering what it was, only to see a glint of gold in her eyes.
Wait, was it just the glasses?
He glanced left and right, making sure no one was watching them, and took off her glasses.
“What are you doing?” She asked him, but he did not say anything; instead, he acted like he was cleaning the glasses while looking into her eyes.
For some reason, symptoms of the saint’s power were still coursing through her.
The saint’s power was gotten by the process called saint sacrifice, where the people would give up their lives to restore the power of one person who would later be referred to as a saint.
That was how the humans were able to gain strength and defeat the second calamity in Alice’s previous life.
However, he doubted that she still remembered any of it.
The only thing she would probably remember would be the fact that so many people sacrificed their lives to give her the power she needed to defeat their enemies.
The saint’s power was so pure that it glowed gold, almost turning the person into an angel.
Its strength and purity were greater depending on the power level of the sacrifice.
In Alice’s eyes were traces of that purity.
He didn’t know why it was still in her but it was faint and still beautiful.
“Ah, it’s pretty.” He subconsciously exclaimed and she tilted her head, her face contorting weirdly.
“Did you eat something weird?” She asked him and he snapped out of it.
The gold glint in her eyes faded away and he put her glasses back on, clearing his throat.
“Don’t be ungrateful and just take the compliment however I present it.” He said.
“Don’t come crying and asking how you look later.” “I never cried.” She tugged his shirt.
“Don’t make shit up.” “Whatever you say,” he darted his eyes away.
“Hey, don’t do that.” She hit his shoulder.
“I never cried to you for a compliment.
You know I’ve never cried.” Leo looked at her.
Ah, yes.
Her eyes have always been dry.
Nothing had ever moved her to tears.
“I understand, I understand.
I didn’t mean literal crying.” He dropped his hand on her head and stroked her hair.
“But though, I wonder if you’d cry if I died.” Alice flinched at the mention of that.
“You’d probably bawl your eyes out, yelling my name and asking me not to go.” Her heart thumped painfully.
What…
what did he say?
