Chapter 252: Are there any more left?
“And for the record,” Leo said, glancing down at her.
“I only went easy on you because I am at fault for something.
I would’ve returned your punch with a punch but I didn’t.
So, I believe now we’re even.” Alice heard Leo’s words and an irk formed on her forehead.
“This bastard,” She looked like she would blow a fuse but before she could even think of doing so, someone grabbed her arm and lifted her up in one easy thug.
“Alright,” It was Mark.
“I think that’s enough messing around.” Alice glanced at him.
Ah, up close, he looked so good in that tracksuit.
Wait, that was not the time to think about his looks.
Why was he intervening?
She could whip up another punch and hit Leo in the face.
She just needed half a second to get ready and reach him.
Maybe this punch should clear his eyes, even if it didn’t leave a scratch.
Slowly, she formed her fist, ready to punch Leo in the face in a split second but all of a sudden, Micheal held her hand and said with a cheerful voice, “Oh my, Alice.
Who upset you?” He clutched her hand lightly.
“Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?” Alice looked at him weirdly.
He had ruined her plan.
She clicked her tongue, took back her hand from him, and said, “Thanks but no thanks.
Just your intervention was all it took to stop this.” Her words were a bit confusing, but Leo knew, and he smiled.
“That’s too bad.” He said, “I was waiting to receive it.
And then we’d have gone around in that circle, hitting and bashing each other up.
Our sportswear would suffer, but it would’ve been fun, don’t you think?” “Idiot, who was the one telling me to keep a low profile?” She said, walking up to him and he reached his hand out.
They thought they wanted to confront each other again, but to their surprise, Leo actually swiped her hair off her face and then dusted off every trace of sand on her face.
Thanks to falling, though not her face since she had the reflex to land on her hands, she had a little bit of dirt on her face.
“Hurry up,” Alice rushed him.
“Are there any more left?
I’m tired already.
Let’s go find a place to sit.” “Just hold on, it’s almost gone.” He said, adding his second hand to hold her chin gently while he brushed over the dirt with his thumb from underneath her glasses and then stopped, staring at her face.

“What?” She asked, noticing his stop.
“Did I get a scratch?” “Not even close.” He said and then let go.
“Well, that’s about it.” “Alright then, let’s go.” Alice said and started walking ahead.
“We should probably find you a new top.
Miss Stella?” Miss Stella flinched, startled at her name being called all of a sudden.
“Y-yes?” She hadn’t been listening to their words.
She simply watched them as they displayed their P.D.A.
after what seemed to be a lethal exchange between them.
These two and their actions were so confusing.
Maybe she should’ve believed them when they said they were just messing around because it would’ve been impossible to start acting like nothing had happened all at once.
Was this how they showed their affection?
She knew couples, ahem, tend to fight but this kind of fighting was just…
Too much.
If someone else had taken that punch, the one Leo endured so well, they might’ve died from having their guts and everything inside crushed.
They would’ve definitely gone flying too.
Off to a faraway land where no one knew of.
“Did you…
Did you need something?” Miss Stella asked.
“I’m sorry to bother you after our sudden and improper display,” Leo courteously said and Alice’s eyebrows tilted up.
“Improper display?” She asked but he placed his hand on her head and turned her around, halting any intervention from her.
“In any case, could we trouble you for a new pair?” “Oh,” Miss Stella exclaimed, looking at that polite smile on his and then the neat hole in his top.
“That’s right.
There should be another pair.” Alice sulked but didn’t try to turn around.
She looked around at the students who were staring at them in confusion and wonder and then it hit her.
This really wasn’t the right place to pick a fight.
‘Maybe next time I’ll lead him to a corner and then beat him as hard as I can.’ She thought.
‘That should help me blow off enough steam.’ Leo hit her in the head.
“Ouch.” “Stop thinking like a thug and let’s go.” He held her hand, dragging her along as he followed Miss Stella, and though she was pouting, she did not say more.
‘Stop reading my thoughts, bastard.’ She declared but he simply glanced back at her and grinned.
*Make me.* He was provoking her again but she would decide to be the bigger person and ignore him.
That way, she wouldn’t attract unnecessary attention.
Well, maybe she should’ve done that from the start because as it seemed, all attention was on her and Leo.
And not just from the students…
“Wow, she seemed lively.” Micheal remarked and Mark turned to him, trying to figure out his intentions.
He stepped in fast enough and undetected to take Alice unaware and stop her from attempting another punch.
Mark noticed her attempt too late, but it was like time was going so slow while she was going fast, so he could not even dream of stopping her or talking her out of it, but Micheal was able to do it effortlessly.
‘In the end, there really is such a gap between an S-class and an A-class awakened.
I feel so useless.’ He clenched his fists.
‘I…
Want to get stronger.’ Micheal looked down at his trembling fist and then looked away.
No one would know what he was thinking or what gaze he held when he was quiet thanks to his mask, so no one knew that Micheal had plans for this event.
He glanced up at the building and then looked away.
“I guess I’ll go do my thing while you do your thing.” He said, stretching his arms.
“See you.” Up at the principal’s office, where Micheal’s gaze had pierced through, someone stood behind the blinds, observing the whole scenario, that is, till he was caught.
Instinctively, he had closed the blinds upon perceiving Micheal’s glare, but how?
He held no intent so even if he was watching, no one was supposed to notice.
There were two others in the principal’s office, which were the principal of the school and the chairman of the association, Adolf.
The man standing by the window and observing everything that was going on in the field was a slim, tall, young man.
He stood with an amused smirk on his lips, his long silky hair dancing on his shoulders and hugging his coat that was hanging on his shoulder.
“It seems this sports event will be quite the entertaining one.” He exclaimed, turning to them.
“I believe so.” Adolf said, picking up his cup of tea and sipping on it.
“After all, the one who the whole world is interested in will be in attendance, and among the spectators will be you, Leader of the Awakened agency.” He dropped the teacup on the salsa.
“So, I believe it’s an interesting event that no one will want to miss.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Welp, I’m feeling so sorry for them.
Everyone is expecting big things from Alice, but she’s already thinking of ways to sit out on the benches while everyone does the work.
