- Chapter 269 - Chapter 269 She's something
Chapter 269: She’s something Chapter 269: She’s something The end of the day came quicker than anyone wanted.
They were having so much fun that they did not want to leave school just yet.
Since students weren’t officially allowed to go through gates and raid dungeons, they never got to use their powers as freely as they did today and do other tricks.
“Alright, students, did we have fun?” Miss Stella asked after everyone had gathered in one place.
“By your faces, I’d say you did.
I’m happy to know that.” She flipped the pages of the notepad in front of her and said, “Alright, let me put a bigger smile on your lips.
As you all know, tomorrow is the weekend, so there’s no school, but thanks to the sports event coming up, I’d like to inform you that you’re going to be practicing tomorrow as well.” Hearing that, the students started cheering.
This was such good news.
“The trainers will be here to put you through as well so you don’t go astray and hurt yourselves.
Have fun.” The students started murmuring and Alice turned to Leo.
“Hey, wasn’t tomorrow already planned out for something?
I can’t remember.” She said and he turned to her.
*You need to go to the devil’s shrine tomorrow to meet the supplier of the demon blood.* He said in her mind and she snapped her fingers.
*But before then, you’ll have to go meet Diane.
You planned a meeting with her, remember?* “Oh my, I have so much on my plate.” Alice said and turned to Miss Stella on the stage.
“Is the weekend training compulsory?” “Does anyone have any questions?” Miss Stella asked.
“Quick, Leo.
Raise your hand and ask if it’s compulsory.” She said, shaking him by the arm and he was about to raise his hand when someone else did.
“Miss Stella, do we have to come to the weekend training?” It was Fae.
Always the questionnaire.
“Well, it’s not compulsory.” She said.
“Some of you might already have prior plans since this was announced out of the blue, so anyone that wants to stick out of the weekend training can do so without any worries.” She smiled.
“I guess that settles our problem.” Alice said, dropping her hands on her waist.
Leo looked down at her, thinking how she was secretly a sports enthusiast but wouldn’t admit it because of her lazy attitude.
“Now, for the next agenda.” The trainers stood behind Miss Stella like they were soldiers in a military brigade.
Miss Stella’s gaze turned serious and she shut her notepad, staring seriously at them.
“It’s come to our notice that there’s a suspicious person, a man, going around trying to deceive students with something called a ‘miracle potion’.” Alice blinked and then searched around for Clarissa.
She found her in the forefront.
Instinctively, she also looked back and her eyes met with Alice’s.
As soon as that happened, she looked away and Alice laughed.

“She’s something.” She exclaimed and folded her arms.
At least she went ahead with what she said she was going to do.
“Now, according to what we know, this man carries an unidentified red liquid in a vile and claims it will give you triple your current stats, making you stronger than you currently are.” The students gasped and started whispering among themselves, surprised that such a thing existed.
Was that even possible?
“It’s a sham!” Miss Stella added.
“That so-called miracle potion might make you strong, but it’ll make you a puppet to the maker.
We don’t know too much yet, but it’s very dangerous, and you could lose your mind, becoming a monster of your own with no reason.
Please, take heed and do not be tempted into becoming a mindless puppet all for power.” At the end of Miss Stella’s words, Clarissa and Alice were called forth.
That is, they were being called to the principal’s office.
Leo tagged along, of course, and all the trainers went with them.
“Why do you think the principal wants to see us?” Alice asked Leo who shook his head and said, “You’ll see.” “It’s probably not the principal that wants to see us.” Clarissa said, and Alice’s eyebrows tilted up in a little amusement.
‘It’s probably someone from the agency.’ “Oh yeah?” Clarissa talked to her on her own.
Now that was some development.
‘Who could it be?’ Sensing Alice’s gaze, Clarissa turned her head away, trying not to mind her but this only made Alice laugh.
“What’s so funny?” Philip asked and Alice pouted her lips.
Why was he butting into what didn’t have anything to do with him?
“None of your business.” She stuck her tongue out at him and he felt irked.
Mark watched them and almost laughed.
Alice was such a funny one.
But then he turned serious as he realized Alice might be involved in that suspicious man’s incident for her to be called as well.
He didn’t know the whole details but Clarissa, that girl in front, was apparently the girl who reported the issue as she had been approached.
But there was no way for her to know what its content was and what it could do.
So, Alice was most certainly involved.
Then, how did Alice know?
They lived under the same roof, yet there were still so many secrets about her that he had yet to discover.
And he never bothered to ask, giving her her space and her right to her secrets, but he couldn’t say he was never curious.
“Pst, Mark,” Alice called in whispers and he looked up to find her grinning at him.
“When we get home, let’s have pork cutlet.” Mark stared at her, his heart racing.
Ah, yes.
This little was enough.
He didn’t need to know all her secrets, he just needed to know that at the end of the day, she would come back home.
“Sure.” He answered with a smile and she smiled back.
Miss Stella knocked on the door and a familiar voice spoke from inside.
“Come in.” Miss Stella turned to them and nodded before opening the door.
They walked in, and Clarissa was stunned to find the Chairman of the Awakened Association Worldwide in that room with the principal.
She immediately bowed her head to show her respect but Alice pushed her aside, wondering why she was blocking the way.
“Don’t forget there are others behind you.” She said and then turned to see why she bowed.
As soon as she saw the three in the room, her eyes lit up.
