Chapter 279: Congratulations!
You have acquired a heavenly item Chapter 279: Congratulations!
You have acquired a heavenly item “Unless you have a heavenly weapon to give me, everything else is a piece of junk.” Alice’s hammer, the one Leo had given to her from the beginning, brought out of God knows where, was the hammer Alice had acquired during her last previous life.
It was a reward she got for killing ‘Amtibah’ as it called itself.
It was one of the boss monsters in one of the red gates during the second calamity.
It wasn’t an animal-type monster but more of a statue.
Just like that empty space she walked into when she reached the boss room in the tower, amtibah resided in a similar place.
It has six hands that all hold different weapons.
It looked similar to the statue of a deity but it was very sinister.
With one movement, it moved one of its hands and took out dozens on the spot.
It looked impossible for them to defeat but since that was not the boss of the calamity, it was not the demon they had to face to end the calamity, then they could not sacrifice more than they already did.
If every one of them died taking care of a simple boss monster when they were yet to face the calamity boss, then it was over for mankind.
So, they resorted to the saint’s sacrifice.
That was the first attempt at the saint’s sacrifice, and only a few were sacrificed.
Though not by choice, as they had been the ones to run and get killed by the monster.
Alice was the recipient of the first saint sacrifice without knowing how.
It was chosen randomly, so she took out Amtibah, and what she got was a big rusty hammer.
What a disappointment, they thought.
But after that, all abandoned it, and it came across Alice’s blood; the rust fell, revealing its true essence.
‘Congratulations!
You have acquired a heavenly item.’ Alice only got to know this from a memory.
That was also when she understood that her hammer could take on different forms and not just a hammer and axe.
Just as Amtibah carried a hammer, axe, mase sword, spear, and a bow and arrow in six hands, the hammer was capable of transforming into them.
It had a transformation feature, where it could transform into any weapon of her choice.
It was a one-of-a-kind weapon that was bonded to her with her blood.
But was that really why it was released from its rust?
Just her blood?
Then, did that mean anyone who had smeared blood on it at that time could’ve been the owner?
She asked herself that question at that time but it didn’t really matter anymore.
The hammer was hers and Leo had used some sort of trick to get it to her in this life even though the scenario to get her hand on it was still far in the future.

“Ah, and how did you get your hands on a heavenly weapon?” Noah asked, his eyes bleeding with suspicion.
“If I told you, will you try to go get yourself one?” She asked him and went ahead to say.
“Let me warn you though, if you do want to go get yourself one, you’ll die.
After all, I almost died trying to get it.” Silence followed her words and Alice cackled.
“I’m joking.” She said and laughed.
They stared at her.
Which part of what she said was a joke?
Was it the heavenly weapon or the part that she almost died when trying to get it?
Maybe it was both because sources made it clear that she had the hammer before going into the calamity gate.
Noah sighed.
He got played by a kid.
“In any case, do we agree that my reward for putting on a good show and beating you in the next council meeting will be a whole day of snacking?” “Snack-?” He palmed his face.
“Snacking?” “Yes.
You’ll take me wherever I want to go eat without any questions.” She smiled.
They finally ended their little chat that felt like it would take forever.
Noah had his mind drained trying to figure out Alice and Adolf patted his back.
“You’ll get used to it.” He said.
“She’s a very good kid.” “Hm, it appears so.” Noah agreed, even if he was still drained.
She was fascinated with her difference.
And the fact that she could still act like a child, carefree and careless, even after she had passed through so much, made it evident that her heart was as solid as steel.
And that guy, Leo, was it?
He could read minds which was a very powerful ability.
Alice had it all, at this point.
She was lucky.
‘I’d like to get close to such a lucky girl.
Who knows?
Her luck might rub off on me as well.’ he smiled sincerely.
Alice walked with Mark and Leo, talking about how they would stop at a restaurant on their way home because she was starving.
But she still wanted to eat the food Mark would make so once they got back, he would still prepare the pork cutlet.
Then she stopped, “I’m not being too much, am I?” She asked, standing in front of Mark.
“If you’re tired, you can forget about it.
I mean, you must be tired having supervised and trained so many kids today.” “No, I’m not exhausted at all.” He said, patting her head.
“This is nothing compared to what I do in the center.
Remember,” he bent his head down and whispered in her ear.
“I used to supervise a bunch of expert criminals for a whole day and not get tired.” He smiled as he straightened his back.
“So, I’m perfectly fine after taking care of a few kids.” Clarissa stared at what was going on from a distance.
‘She also knows that A-class trainer?’ she wondered.
‘Alice, just who are you?’ She was the first to walk out before the rest so she did not know what the chairman had said that made Mark stay behind.
Being oblivious was bliss but sometimes, it just made one feel utterly useless.
“Alice,” Clarissa called and Alice turned her head to find her waiting for her with her arms folded.
“Oh, you’re still here?” Alice asked.
“Did you see Damian by chance?
We were supposed to go home together since his brother isn’t available and…” “Why are you talking like we’re friends?” Clarissa suddenly asked and Alice went silent.
‘Well, so much for a heart-to-heart moment.’ Alice thought.
‘It’s a shame.
I thought she’d open up to me after all that.’ Clarissa looked at her with a dark and suspicious gaze.
She looked like she had a lot to say but was keeping it sealed within her gritted teeth and hateful expression.
“Mark, could you please go see if Damian is still around?
He might’ve gone home already but knowing his character, he might still be waiting.” She said to Mark.
“I’ll just talk to my classmate for a while and then come down.” Mark nodded, took one glance at Clarissa, and walked away without a word.
“So, what is it?” Alice asked.
“What do you want to say to me this time?” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Happy New Month, Everyone.
