- Chapter 284 - Chapter 284 He would sit on the bleachers
Chapter 284: He would sit on the bleachers Chapter 284: He would sit on the bleachers Alice and Leo met up with Mark and Damian who were waiting by Mark’s car.
They got in and headed towards the restaurant where they would get their ‘first meal’.
Well, it was the first meal for just Alice since everyone else would be filled after eating, and all the while, Leo remained silent.
He wasn’t exactly the talkative type until Alice provoked him, but this time around, it felt like he was lost in thoughts.
And Mark, whose eyes fell on Alice’s lips as soon as they met up, knew she had kissed someone.
Was it Leo?
No, Leo was perfectly fine and the other person seemed to have purposely left his scent on her as an act of provocation.
It was Micheal.
So, Alice kissed him again.
Mark wanted to pretend he didn’t see anything, but he just couldn’t help but get furious at Micheal for taking advantage of Alice while no one was looking.
But did he even have the right to get angry?
He did the same thing, didn’t he?
He took advantage of her willingness and overwhelmed her in the kitchen, leaving her out of breath because he was jealous.
He was the worst.
He had no right because Alice did not belong to him.
His eyebrows and forehead creased sadly.
Thinking of it that way was way worse.
His heart felt heavy.
“Hey,” Alice dropped her hand on his arm and he turned to her to find her staring worriedly at him.
She sat on the passenger’s seat this time so if he just took a glance to his left, he would see her.
“Are you okay?
Does it hurt anywhere?” She asked, worrying because of the way his face contorted in pain all of a sudden.
The fact that she was worrying about him while he was having such thoughts tore him even more.
“I’m fine, really.” He said, forcing himself to smile but she felt he wasn’t okay.
“Did I make you wait for too long?” She asked him.
“Are you very hungry?
Is that why your face is like that?” “No, Alice.
It’s not.” He shook his head while trying to keep his focus on the road.
“I’m not hungry and I’m not in pain.
But…” His smile finally became genuine as he gazed into her eyes.

“Thank you for worrying about me.” Damian watched from the back.
He didn’t think waiting could cause anyone pain.
But maybe it was just him.
Maybe it was because he was so used to waiting that he wouldn’t know if it was exhausting.
He had waited longer than anyone since he had been alone after they were called to the principal’s office, swinging his legs while holding on to his bag in the fields.
He sat on one of the benches, watching the regular students use the fields for their sports practice.
He was used to waiting alone whenever his brother was out at a gate, raiding dungeons and keeping the world safe.
He would sit on the bleachers.
(it’s actually bleachers but I’ve been writing benches for a while now.
Either one works so don’t mind me if I switch a few times) He would sit on the bleachers, counting the time as it went by because he knew he would be alone when he got home.
He didn’t want to be at home alone for too long, so he spent more time on the school premises.
He even did his assignment there so that when he got home, he would simply start cooking and while the food was on fire, he would go around cleaning.
He’d put his laundry in the washing machine and then come back to eat.
After that, he would wash the dishes, get his clothes from the washing machine, spread them out, and most times, he used his powers to dry them.
Yes, he was a healer-type awakened, but he still had element powers just like everyone else.
He could manipulate water.
So, he would take out the water from the clothes, every single drop and that would make the clothes completely dry.
From there, he would fold them and go to bed.
The next morning, all he had to do was make breakfast and then leave for school.
So, he did not feel it too much when he was left alone.
But on days where he had no laundry to take his time, he would watch a movie and that was when he felt the absence of his brother.
There was no one to laugh with.
No one to speak to concerning the movie and no one to hold of it turned out to be a scary movie.
He was a scardy cat, but he still tended to put a scary movie on the screen.
So, when that happens, when he gets too scared, he cries, but since his brother isn’t there to hold him, he cries alone, and being alone makes him cry even more till he eventually falls asleep.
That was how he spent his time.
So, waiting was not exactly a new thing for him.
At least, this time, after waiting, he knew he wouldn’t be alone when going home.
He was going to stay at his friend’s place.
He was going to stay with Alice.
“I’m sure it’s nothing.” Damian suddenly said with a smile and they glanced back.
“But if he’s really in pain, he doesn’t have to worry since I’ll heal him.” “That’s so sweet of you, Damian.” Alice said, fawning over him once more.
“You know, it was a shame you didn’t go up with us.
So many things happened.” She laughed and at this point, she expected Leo to say something like, ‘More like ‘you’ made so many things happen.’ But Leo was as silent as a broken clock.
What was wrong with him?
‘Hey, Leo.’ she called out to him but he did not respond.
She made sure their connection was intact, and it was, but why wasn’t he responding?
She looked back at him again and found him silently gritting his teeth while clenching his fists.
They were trembling.
What had happened?
‘Leo…
Are you okay?’ CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Leo being silent is very concerning, right?
