- Chapter 290 - Chapter 290 Dry bones shall rise
Chapter 290: Dry bones shall rise Chapter 290: Dry bones shall rise Miss Stella was called for some reason and while Alice, who basically did not do anything in the training room, was having her bath, she examined the overgrown Damian.
His growth wasn’t that massive, but he had lost that baby face, his level and class had increased, and he was taller than he used to be.
He even lost his regular flat chest and had abs all of a sudden.
“Now this is one heck of a transformation.” Miss Stella exclaimed and then cleared her throat.
“In any case, you said this was caused by an elixir you took?” Damian nodded quite adorably.
‘He’s lost his baby fat but he’s still so adorable.’ Miss Stella thought.
‘I wonder how Devon will react to this.’ Damian sat obediently, staring at Miss Stella and waiting for her next words.
“Well, on the bright side, there’s no need to keep secrets.” She ruffled his hair.
“Since you’re no longer a D-class Awakened, you’re by a right and class, a member of my class.
No one can say anything about it.” Damian’s face lit up.
That was right.
He could even move towards the A-class training groups but that wasn’t really necessary.
His plan to sit on the sidelines was still the same.
He had no idea what he could do with his increased stats.
But he did get a new skill.
/Dry bones shall rise/ It was a weird name for a simple skill.
The skill was at an A-class difficulty, and its functions were, as it stated, no, not a necromancy.
He could heal broken bones, even ones that had been detached but not exactly command them to move.
But it got him thinking.
What if he could also control the bones?
It didn’t state he could do much in the skill explanation, but…
what if?
It would be no different from necromancy at that point since he would be working with dead people whose bones no longer carry out active command or the body’s will.
If he could do that, didn’t that mean he could make an army of his own?
He would no longer be ‘just’ a healer who needed protection from the raid squad or team.
The thought got him excited but he wasn’t very sure about it.
Maybe he would be able to test it out when the situation called for it.
But for now, he just needed to focus and not be a burden to Alice.
He didn’t need to put his hopes up only to get them dashed later.
“Alright, I’m done.” Alice announced as she walked down the stairs.

They all turned to watch her as she descended the stairs.
She wore a short brown tatin skirt and brown boots.
As for her top, she wore a white crop top, wearing her special jacket over it.
And it was brown.
She realized she could change the color as she pleased, so she changed it from blue to brown.
Damian’s eyes sparkled as she stood next to him.
“I know I’m awesome but quit staring,” Alice said, darting her eyes away from him.
She couldn’t get used to this grown-up version of him.
Damian lowered his head sadly.
Did this mean she didn’t like him anymore?
Because he wasn’t adorable?
He suddenly felt Alice’s hands on his cheek.
She pinched them with sparkly eyes.
“Okay, since your cheeks as still so squishy, I’ll deal with it.” She said and his eyes lit up again.
He was like a dog, wagging his tail in excitement.
“Now, go get ready.
Or else I’m leaving you.” She said and he immediately dashed out of there towards his room.
“Mark,” Alice turned to Mark who was staring at her.
“Could you please help Damian with something that can fit?
I doubt he’s got anything that will fit his overgrown body among the clothes he brought.” “Sure.
I should have a few things.” Mark said, heading towards the stairs.
He didn’t grow as big as Mark but there should be something in Mark’s closet that can fit.
“Also, a delivery’s coming soon.
So, pick it up once they ring.” “Sure.” She watched him leave.
“You didn’t work on your hair.” Miss Stella said and she grimaced, turning her head away.
“I did it to the best of my abilities.” Alice mumbled.
“Leo’s not here so I couldn’t be bothered.” “And where is Leo?” Miss Stella asked and Alice’s gaze softly fell.
She looked sad but then smiled.
“He’s resting.” She said.
‘What’s wrong with me?
He’s just offline for now.
It’s not like I’ll never see him again.
Get a grip, Alice.’ “Then, let me help you.” Miss Stella brushed her hair with a brush that came out of nowhere and tied her hair up in a neat bun, allowing a few strands of her hair to dangle at the side of her hair.
“So, about the fact that you’re actually the chairman’s daughter,” Alice said, relaxing her back on the couch and folding her arms.
“Why didn’t you tell me that?” “Well,” Miss Stella tilted her head and giggled.
“You never asked.” “And how was I supposed to make out that you were his daughter, to begin with?” Alice rolled her eyes.
“Maybe you guys do share the same blue eyes but the rest just doesn’t cut it.” “Well, I do take after my father when it comes to our eyes.” Miss Stella said and took off her glasses.
Alice stared at the beautiful blue eyes.
They sparkled like jewels, honestly.
“But as for the rest,” she put her glasses back on and smiled.
“I take after my mother.” “Hm,” she nodded and then realized something.
“Then, is that spoiled brat yours as well?” “Oh, you mean Philip?” Miss Stella asked and laughed.
It sort of amused her whenever Alice called someone older than her a brat.
But it was a bad habit so she had to correct Alice, yet she couldn’t find it in herself to do so since he did act like a spoiled brat most times.
“Phillip is my sister’s child.” Miss Stella said, her face falling slightly with a hint of sadness.
Alice didn’t need to be told before realizing that she was dead.
It was no wonder Philip grew up like that.
But she grew up without a mother and anyone to take care of her, and she could say she turned out ‘great’ if she was comparing things to her current situation.
“Wait, Philip’s mother,” she recalled when they spoke about Miss Stella’s sister.
“Is it the same one you said I reminded you of?” Miss Stella sadly nodded.
“Yes, she’s the one,” Alice went silent.
She didn’t know what to say after this.
It suddenly got awkward, and then the bell rang.
“Ah, that must be the delivery.
I’ll go get it.” She said and went to the door but when she opened the door, she found a hooded person holding a box.
“Your delivery.” CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Author_fredah Just imagine Damain as a necromancer.
